Amazing stay. Wonderful views and lovely amenities. Lots of space to both hang out and to get away! Watching NFL games on the big TV in the basement was a treat. Took out the kayaks and enjoyed the waterfront opportunities. Hot tub is well situated and spacious. Thanks so much!
Fantastic view of the lake. Lots of places to sit and hang out everywhere around the property. It's a bit of a hike down to the lake, but by the end of the week, we were all pretty used to it and it wasn't a problem. We had a wonderful time there and would go back again. The only complaint was the kitchen - the pots and pans were in pretty bad shape and made cooking a little challenging. A small investment in new cookware would be very welcome.
The view was excellent of the lake. The rooms were very clean and nice as were the bathrooms and upstairs. I will say the deck on the back could use cleaning all the spider webs etc from off the screens and windows. Downstairs area rug needed vacuumed but over all a very nice house with lots to do and a view that was breathtaking. Lots of seating throughout as well. Furniture was in excellent condition as well as beds. House offered all you would need for pretty much all your needs. The one chief complaint I had was the overgrown foliage in the back yard and down the stairs to the dock. That could use a great landscaping. Unable to use the swing and such on the lower back porch due to the overgrown stuff right up on it. But there was swing on upper deck so we were able to enjoy that on the screened in porch. Again, can not say enough about the view and the Host! Jon was very responsive and kind. Even with the few negatives the overall stay was great and I would rent it again!
This was a very large property that was suitable for our large family (6 adults, 6 children). The access to the water was a long staircase, which was taxing on some adults in our party, but the plus-side was that the younger children did not wander down to the water. The home was well stocked with cooking supplies and lots of entertainment (putting green, horse shoes, arcade, basketball game, foosball, board games, etc). The circular staircase descending to the lower level was another challenge for some adults in our party but you can simply walk around the outside of the house (taking a few stairs or avoiding stairs altogether) to access the lower level. The host had excellent communication and helped navigate a challenging issue with the payment process. He and his wife are trustworthy folks and you shouldn't hesitate to book with them. The hot tub was wonderful and well maintained. The property is well adorned with televisions although we didn't spend much time watching them - the lake view is stellar and watching sunset each day (and one full-moonset we were fortunate to witness!) was incredible. The gas grill is large and worked well. Great stay!
We 9 women had a fantastic time The sunsets were spectacular Definitely a place we will go back to and that is really saying something since in the 20 yrs we’ve been doing this we have NEVER gone back to the same house 🤷🏽
This house was perfect for our family gathering for our Mom's 85th birthday! Comfortable with awesome views! Some of the highlights for us were a polar plunge off of the huge two story dock/deck, hanging out by the outdoor firepit, puzzles, and playing the multitude of games! This place is very well maintained. We look forward to a return!
Gorgeous view and great communication with the host. I knew we would need to bring sheets and towels (that was somewhere in the booking), but note that you also need to take away your garbage/recycling. The Bracey Waste Station is easy and close, but just an FYI.Also, there are 70 stairs down to the dock. The walkway has some ramps and is in very good shape - there is a gazebo partway down. I knew there had to be steps based on the photo, but hadn't paid much attention. It was harder for the grandparents to come to the dock, but not impossible.Great deep water for jumping, great set-up (teens downstairs, adults upstairs), really nice screened porch.
Had a great stay. House had all we needed and is a in a great location on the lake. Appreciated the use of the boat lift and all the chairs down on the dock. Had a lot of fun with all the games. Thanks for having us!
Wonderful long weekend at the Flip Flop Inn. Our family had a great time! We hope to come back when it is warm & enjoy the screened porch on the back. Beautiful sunsets!!
We had a lovely week with our teens and grandparents. There was plenty to keep all ages entertained and we really enjoyed all that this beautiful house has to offer. The views are incredible and we were able to fish off of the dock.
Our first trip to LKG and we will be back!
Our family group really enjoyed their stay here. Great screened porch. Sunset and moon set photo ops over the lake. Kids loved the rec room downstairs. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware, etc. It really had something for everyone. Proximity to Rosemeont vineyards was awesome.
Everything was great! The kids had lots to do and the grown up cooked and relaxed! Location was great, nice indoor and outdoor features. We rode bikes, got in the jacuzzi and just hung out!!!
The property location is amazing! I literally cried at how beautiful the lake was when I first walked on the back covered deck. Boat rental is a must! Sun sets are incredible! The house was perfect for my family and we will definitely be back!

I am so glad you loved our home. Your review was so sweet. We would love to have you back anytime!
We loved the flip flop inn! Plenty of room for everyone and such a fun game room. Everyone had a blast. Lots of steps to the dock kept us from gaining weight from all of the food and drink! Shady shack and rosemont winery nearby were added extra bonuses.
This was a perfect spot for a quiet girls’ weekend getaway. We were blessed with good weather, but the home has plenty of amenities for a rainy day. We spent most of our time admiring the amazing views from the screened back porch. We loved the property.
Amazing house with great view and the boat dock was awesome to hang out at. Just so you are aware, the downstairs was dirty we had to vacuum floor and wipe down the bathroom. But other than that an amazing week.

So glad you had an awesome week! Sorry you found the downstairs dirty. If we had known about this when you arrived we would have had our cleaning service come back out and address this issue. Hope to have you at the lake again!
Beautifully situated on Lake Gaston, the home was well-suited for a family ranging in age from 2 to 78. Convenient kitchen, two fireplaces, plenty of TVs and games, and a great hot tub and firepit. Perfect for those chilly winter nights! Highly recommended. Note: linens & towels are not provided and the only interior staircase is spiral.
