The house was great, close to multiple towns with things to do. Great location and just an overall great stay. 10/10 would recommend and 10/10 would stay there again
We loved our stay! Right off the bike trail, an easy ride to a great park and some shops. Short drive to several great town beaches, ferry to Nantucket, and quaint port area. The house itself was clean, updated, very comfortable and kitchen well stocked. We appreciated the games and beach toys. Great option for a young family!
Well equipped in a good position for touring this section of the Cape.Would have appreciated info re smart tv usage as it is not familiar to us.Very private location
We had a lovely stay here. Lots of room and located in a very peaceful area. Convenient to Harwich and Chatham. Only problem we had was the outside bin was almost full and we weren’t sure what to do with our trash.
I would definitely stay here again.
Property is as descibed. Super clean, nice size yard and nestled away in a quiet area off of a main road. Pictures are accurate and home is as decribed. We had a great time!!
The small, very private neighborhood only has 3 houses down a long paved road. Super private, but in the center of town. Great little house, awesome backyard and the bike path is right there!
House was clean, needs some up dating, needs some better kitchen stuff. House was either cold or to hot. Could use some fans. Location was as described. Cute little house for a long weekend.
We couldn’t have been happier with this house. It’s right on the bike path, which we use frequently when we’re on the cape. The house is located down a private road and there are only 3 houses in the area. The backyard is super quiet and the house was well stocked
My husband and three kids had a great week here. Had all the supplies we could need, the location was great, the house was nicely updated and on a quiet street on the Rail Trail. Had a few bumps - the trash wasn't picked up and the AC was acting up but Eli was extremely responsive.
House worked well for our family of 4 adults. Many updated, new features/appliances for an older home. Ceiling were very low and the third bedroom with trundle bed is more for a child. Outdoor shower was great and backyard was quiet. Proximity to bike trail is awesome and easy drive to public golf / Harwich Port. Owner provided clear info as well.
Good place for family to stay. Renovations were very nice. Clean and well-equipped. Bedrooms were good size. We liked the open floor plan. Two wifi connections with good strength. The air conditioning set-up was very noisy.
Unfortunately, hurricane Lee was headed our way and we lost 2 vacation days.

Not renovated
Sadly the home is very worn out and whatever attempt to renovate is very cheaply done. We left the home early due to the moldy smell coming out of the window AC in the bedroom closet to the bathroom. Bed linens, pillows furnishing in the home look and feel like they all came from goodwill. Reached out the point of contact and do not feel like there was any remediation solutions outside of “we’ll check it”.We spent 1,000 on one nights stay for a dump.

Guest had a bad 1 night stay, which had nothing to do with the house. The guest booked the house for 2 nights during July 4th holiday, from 7/2-7/4, fully aware of the cost, Vrbo fees and cancellation policy. On 7/3 the guest communicated that their child had a bad night and they ended up leaving early and only stayed 1 night. The guest also suggested that AC filter had to be cleaned in small bedroom. There was no other communication, complaints or requests from the guest. All AC filters were cleaned a few weeks before their stay and all were checked on 7/3, the day guest communicated about AC problem. All AC filters were found to be clean, with-out any smells and in proper working order. Not clear what other remediation was expected as the guest communicated about AC after leaving. No other communication or request was received from the guest after they left. The guest may have had a bad night, but it is not anything that was caused by our house. All of our linens, pillows and furnishings are purchased new. The house is professionally cleaned for each reservation and all ACs, appliances and furniture is checked after each stay to make sure they are in good working order. Any communication from guests is addressed right away. We are disappointed to find out through a review that a guest had an unpleasant stay and did not appreciate our decor and renovations. We make every effort to ensure the house is set up for all of our guests to have an enjoyable stay.
We needed a wheelchair accessible property and this one has a convenient ramp that leads into a house with a nice open floor plan. However, we had difficulty navigating the bathrooms because my wife is paralyzed and cannot stand. While the bathroom doors are big enough for the wheelchair, we couldn't get it close enough to the toilets to use a transfer board. This would not be a problem if the wheelchair user can stand to transfer. Otherwise, there was good accessibility. Also worth noting was that the kitchen appliances were all quite new and it was well stocked with cooking utensils.
Great location, the house is equipped nicely. My only negative feedback is that one of the double beds is not really a double but a single with another one coming underneath, so quite a strange experience for 2 adults.
Great place to stay on Cape Cod. Centrally located with access to all activities
We had an excellent stay. Did whale watching, wine tasting and visited Provincetown. Food store and Starbucks within 1 mile of property. Well worth a visit

Very clean and very comfortable and exactly as described in the listing. Great outdoor shower & very quiet and private neighborhood. Most important to us was that the beds were very comfortable, high quality, and the quiet split A/C unit was excellent in the heat wave. We would definitely stay here again.

Our family of 6 (3 generations) enjoyed staying at this house because it is stylish and clean. We loved the backyard where we played volleyball, freesby, badminton, cooked BBQ and ate outside at the patio.
We drove to the Red River beach for about 10 min (weekly parking permit cost $65 if you buy at the town hall).
Would love to come back.
We enjoyed our stay- but I recommend stocking kitchen supplies such as a blender and non breakable cups - we only saw glass -
Also have extra trash bags handy and cleaning supplies - we bought more to have - the bottles of general antibacterial spray were almost completely empty- and the towels for beach were great but as far as bath room and kitchen towels there was not enough I had my daughter bring more from home as we took separate cars and she came a day after me - also the bedding could be improved and updated and the ac window units were extremely loud-the outdoor shower needs privacy as it is completely out in open- I know it seems like I’m listing off so many things but I do feel they would not be expensive to update and would make a huge impact-
The house was very clean and neat and for a small square footage it was spacious - also the beach chairs were good quality-

Thank you for the feedback. We are actually already looking at replacing the outdoor shower and will be re-doing it for next year. We'll also include more cleaning supplies than what was already included under the sink. Thank You!

Renters beware!
To say we were fooled by the listing would be an understatement. It's true that the house has been recently renovated, but not the entire house. The kitchen has been updated, as well as the floors throughout the house, but the bathroom and bedrooms have only received minor updates. The house still has old bones underneath, and you will feel it shortly after beginning your stay.
There was a pretty strong musty smell in the house from the moment we arrived. The house was moderately dirty upon arrival, particularly in the bathroom and bedrooms. Grime around the bathroom, hair in the bathroom drawers, small stains on the sheets and pillows, and an old dining room table that is chipping.
On the second night, I was awoke a couple times by what felt like a bug crawling on me, but I was groggy and didn't notice anything when I briefly looked. On the third day, our son discovered a roach in the bedroom closet. Gross! We then found a couple more in the living room area. That was it for us, and we decided it was time to get out. There was no amount of "cleaning" or "spraying" that was going to salvage our experience at this house for the remainder of the week.
We decided to find other living accommodations and reported the problems to the owner. The owner was responsive, but only provided excuses for why the roaches weren't a true problem (due to the weather, hadn't been reported before, etc.). The owner offered no additional assistance or refunds beyond indicating he would be communicating with a pest company. For us, it just wasn't worth spending the remainder of our vacation dealing with this. Just consider the position you'll find yourself in given similar circumstances before you think about staying here.

Thank you for taking the time for writing this review. After a thorough investigation of the complaints brought up by this guest and omittance of important facts from the review, we see this review as a guest opinion with a high degree of bias. We would like to provide more details on the complaints and steps our team has taken to come to this conclusion.
On Wednesday night a note was received from the guest that they were leaving early, with-out any prior communications since check in on Saturday. There were no calls, texts, emails, or any communication from the guest for 5 days, which is highly unusual given serious concerns brought up. We welcome communication from our guests and generally no communication indicates that our guests are enjoying their vacation do not have any concerns. None of the concerns mentioned in this review were communicated until after the guest left the house.
We understand that things may get overlooked or unexpected issues may come up. Therefore, we have a trusted local cleaning team that does a great job, as well as an extended support team for any issues that may come up, either small or big. Having a clean house is our number one goal. The house has multiple back up sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases available.
We have never had any cockroaches in the house and the house is meticulously cleaned by reputable, professional cleaners after every stay. We were very surprised by roach complaint and contacted a local pest control company right away after the note and pictures were received from the guest. Upon review of the pics the guest provided, the pest control company identified the insect as an outdoor Pennsylvania wood roach, which live outside in dry places, but occasionally they find their way indoors through open doors or windows, mainly when it rains a lot. Given that it was raining most of the week, the pest control company explained that they had a lot of calls that week as these outdoor insects were looking for dry places and finding their way indoors all over the Cape. These insects did not originate at our house. They got inside same as a fly or mosquito would through an open door or window. Through this experience we have learned a lot about wood roaches, such as that they are harmless, they do not live or breed indoors, they die off in a few days when they do happen to find themselves inside. Therefore, there were no signs of any roaches from anyone staying at the house before or after this guest. Although this information, including links with pictures was provided to the guest, it is unfortunate that the guest chose to ignore these facts in their review. The house being so close to the bike trail and conservation land makes it very private and peaceful, but it also means that we must be neighbors with the creatures living outdoors.
There were multiple requests for additional information on guest concerns, including requests for pictures of the cleaning issues that the guest claimed to have, with-out any response. We were left guessing on the cleaning and smell issues that the guest wrote to us on Wednesday night. There was a lot of rain and humidity during the first half of the week, so we thought maybe there was an issue with AC filters, de-humidifier or other equipment at the house or possibly something else. On Friday the house was thoroughly inspected, including the basement, garage, HVAC system and all air filters. All equipment was found to be working properly and there was no evidence of anything that would cause smells or any roaches in the house.
The listing is not trying to fool anyone. Pictures listed on VRBO include all rooms of the house, including bedrooms and baths. The house was renovated a few years ago and not just kitchen. All bedrooms have new windows, new floors and new wall paint and ceiling paint. Bathrooms have new vanities, floors and paint. The whole house has new electric wiring, including hard wired smoke detectors, new plumbing and new septic.
In this review, the guest states that the owner did not offer a refund or any additional assistance, which is simply not true. Multiple times we asked the guest of what we can do for them, including offering a refund for the nights the guest chose not to stay at the house. After multiple notes, on Sunday, a day after scheduled check out, we received the second of only 2 notes from the guest further indicating the cleaning issues mentioned in this review, but not the pictures of these issues that the guest initially claimed to have. There was never any request for any assistance, no request for refund or any requests from the guest at all.
It is unfortunate the weather was so rainy and humid during the guests’ vacation week, which is likely what contributed to the insects. The weather was very unusual for July with so much rain. We are sorry that most of the week did not turn out as expected, but we don’t believe it’s due to any issues with the house. We have spent a lot of time and resources to investigate the issues the guest brought up, with limited communication from the guest. I strongly believe that the guest experience would have been very different if the guest timely contacted us with the issues mentioned in the review so we can address them right away. We are here to make sure our guests have an enjoyable stay. We love the cape and do everything possible for our guests to have a great vacation and enjoy it as much as we do.
