About this property

Castlepoint - Private family beach home with stunning views capturing the sun.

Modern family Bach which provides indoor / outdoor living, offering two decks to choose from, sheltered from Northwesterly winds or the Southerly wind. Great entertainment areas lounge opens with doors to securely fenced deck to enjoy those summer days.BBQ and outdoor dinning on those summer evenings.
Open plan living room/ dining area and kitchen with two adjoining bedrooms, optional extra is a Sofa Sleeper in the lounge.
Laundry, shower room and separate WC.
Stunning lighthouse and Castle rock views from the private deck.
Queen bed, Double bunk with single above and double Sofa Sleeper, Cot and highchair available on request.

Linen - Bring your own linen, towels, tea towels etc

Optional:
Linen and towels provided on request(bring your own beach towels) additional cost $20.00 per person per stay. We provide Linen, kitchen towels, bath towels ( not to be removed from the house). Only if requested

Fridge, Microwave, oven, BBQ, TV, DVD Player, Heat pump for those cold nights, Washing Machine and beer fridge.
Car parking for 2 cars and a small boat. On road parking for additional vehicles.

Castlepoint is one of NZ's top 10 beaches and provides for plenty of outdoor activities, walk to Castlepoint lighthouse, the DOC walk around the lagoon and a hike up Castlerock to take in the the fantastic scenery. Fishing from the reef when the sea conditions allow. Safe family swimming in the lagoon or take to the surfboards.
Castlepoint Golf course is only a 10 minute drive away.

A well stocked shop provides the basics and takeaway meals available or dine at the Whakataki hotel adjacent to the Golf club.
Room to park your boat and car off road with a fish cleaning bench ( take away your fish waste)

As this is a family Bach we ask you to respect the personal belongings which are in the Bach.


A cleaning fee applies to each booking $70.00
You need to leave the place clean and tidy.

Cot and high chair available on request.

You need to bring your beach towels / toys.

Extensive views

We absolutely loved this property. It has extensive views with a choice of 2 decks, both sheltered and we were very pleased to be able to holiday with our dog. She was very pleased too. The house is well appointed and comfortable and it felt like a home away from home. Thank you for sharing your holiday home with us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Family beach break

We are four generations who try to take a trip together once a year to the beach, age range is 2yrs to 83yrs. Micheal & Bobbie’s beautiful bach was absolutely perfect, all on one level with two separate fully fenced & secure deck's, which gave us absolute peace of mind with small children. The view from each is beautiful. The bach is setup superbly, they have thought of everything. We stayed five nights , the last two, the weather decided to take a turn for the worse, but that didn’t matter as there was a fantastic selection of board games & DVD’S, so we popped a roast on in the well set up kitchen ( honestly there is everything you need in this kitchen) and settled in for a family game day. It was perfect. Thank you so much Micheal & Bobbi for allowing us to stay in your slice of paradise & for your lovely welcome gift , such a beautiful touch. We all had a wonderful break & look forward to staying again. Katrina
