Spacious Oceanfront Suite - Sleeps 4 - Top Floor - Pool and Sauna!

Summary:

'Lord of the Tides' is what we call this spacious top floor oceanfront condo. It can sleep up to four people by way of two queen size beds, has two full bathrooms and a full kitchen. This isn't a hotel room, this is a home! The beach access is literally right outside of the oceanside window! If the weather is stormy, stay inside and watch the waves from the amazing view of the oceanside suite. Don't forget about our indoor heated saltwater pool and dry sauna!



The Space:

No. 311, which we call “Lord of the Tides,” is one of our most spacious condos. Because it is on the third-floor, the view cannot be beat. It has recently been updated with new ultra soft carpet, new light fixtures, new draperies, bedding, wall decor and a 55-inch flat-screen TV.



It is easy to spend hours sitting in front of the wall of windows enjoying the unobstructed view of the beach and the crashing waves of the ocean.



Just because you’re on vacation doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy the convenience of home cooking. This condo has a full kitchen with range oven, stovetop, fridge, microwave, toaster, crockpot and all the dishes and cooking supplies you could need. Enjoy the privacy of two separate sleeping areas that each feature comfortable queen beds as well as two full bathrooms.



From your front windows, gaze to the north to observe the natural tide pools, which are a short 10-minute walk away. Turn to the south and observe the D River, the shortest in the world. Gaze out into the water, and look for fishing boats and the occasional whale spout dotting the horizon.



Be sure to take advantage of the indoor pool and sauna, and if you feel like getting out of 311?s kitchen, there are two gas grills on the property available for you to barbecue! We provide all the linens, towels, toiletries, cookware and complimentary coffee. This isn’t a motel room. It’s home!



Guest Access:

The condo comes with a unique code which will get you entry into your unit. There you will find a key that will grant you access to our indoor, heated salt water pool and dry sauna.



This is a 3rd floor unit, there are 32 steps required to access the unit.

Other Things to Note:

This is a condo in a shared complex, and it's worth noting that from time to time, you might hear everyday sounds coming from neighboring units and common areas within the facility.



There are three gas grills on site available for guest use. They are located next to our sparkling pool.



The condo comes with a limited supply of complimentary coffee, sugar, and creamer.

The condo was cute and cozy, perfect for our party of 4. The view was amazing, right on the beach. I appreciated the two bathrooms and two beds, many we looked at only offered a pullout sofa as the secondary bed.

Convenient location to get toTillamook and Cape Meares to the north and Newport (aquarium, Yaquina Head Lighthouse) and Depoe Bay to the south. Nice to have two beds (one in the living room) rather than one bed and a pullout sofa. Right on the beach, but fog on the coast due to warm inland weather meant we couldn't see much. Safeway grocery store nearby made it easy to plan our dinners.

We loved our stay! You can't beat the location and view from the room. Easy access to the beach and all that Lincoln City has to offer. Carpet had a few stains and some of the furniture could use upgrading, but still a great place to stay. We loved having the pool to swim in as well!

Location is excellent. Kitchen was well equipped. The picture next to this survey was not our room. The living room had a bed in the middle that was extremely worn out. 1 living room window could only open part way. Locking pin would not allow it to completely open. Our chairs did not look like those in the photo. 1 chair had hole burned through the fabric on the back side. Bathrooms very beat up. Walkways and stairs had food debris and small trash on all levels. Will not stay here again.

We’ve stayed at the Sea Gypsy before in another unit. This one is on the top floor for maximum views of the ocean. Still easy to get to the beach even though one set of stairs has been affected by waves. The condo itself is tidy and has everything you’d need although a couple beach chairs would be handy for travelers out of state. Thanks for a great stay and we’ll be back soon. Btw, restaurants are open as of our stay and dine in was also an option.

Outstanding location -- easy beach access, great views, very comfortable, well equipped. Exactly as advertised.We would have preferred a couch to a second bed, but larger groups would feel differently. Two bathrooms a nice bonus.Only negative, and the only issue preventing a 5-star rating, is the poor quality of the WiFi connection. Cable TV works fine, but the HOA-provided WiFi is barely good enough to check email, and certainly insufficient for streaming. (Neither TV succeeded in connecting to Netflix or HBO.) Possibly varies by unit, and may be beyond the control of the HOA. We were admittedly there on a busy weekend (kite festival!), but the connection failed even very early in the morning.(And, of course, the title is incorrect: sleeps 4, not 8, as correctly indicated elsewhere on the page.)

Nice Unit in a Perfect Location

Clean, well stocked with a full kitchen (except it does need a new toaster) and very comfortable in a great location at the "D" River Beach - long walks North and South. Easily accommodates two couples or a family with 2 full baths and two separate sleeping areas - although one is in what would normally be the living room. We didn't find this a problem as there are easy chairs and dining space in this area also - so the 4 of us got along fine. Everything you need to have a great vacation is provided. Just bring your beach chairs, beach towels and swim suits if the Pacific water isn't too cold for you. All in all, we found it quiet and enjoyable. Owner very responsive to any questions.

I gave 4 stars but really it should be 3.5. The main entry lock was not working so therefore upon leaving the condo a person had to go through the bedroom for the unit to be secure. So if someone was sleeping the other person had to disturb the person in the bedroom. This was told to me when I went to the front desk and asked if the unit was ready at 3:15 for possibly early check in . ( so they knew it was a problem prior) Curtains and curtain rod rusty to window looking to the ocean. For an updated unit I was a bit surprised on how that looked. Other then that ( and I call the lock pretty major) the room was clean. The kitchen stocked properly. Beds were comfortable. Money versus accommodations were good. View is perfect from that room.

Returning Sea Gypsy patron

My grandmother started a tradition almost 20 years ago, taking me to the beach every year for my birthday. When we discovered The Sea Gypsy, we fell in love. Then a few years back (before VRBO and other vacation rental places were ever a thing), The Sea Gypsy decided to go condo and time shares. We stopped going there, unfortunately. Now I've started a new tradition with my fiance and I take him to the beach every year for his birthday. When I saw this room pop up and saw it was The Sea Gypsy, I got very excited. I read the details about the room and check in and everything. The Lord of the Tides looked so cute online so I booked it Let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint! The quality of the rooms is top notch. The location is absolutely ideal! The view is stunning. The price is definitely reasonable. When we showed up, the cleaner was still there just finishing up. The room actually smelled clean and of course it actually was clean too. The first thing my fiance commented on was the view. You walk in and look out the window and all you can see is ocean. The beds were comfortable. All the appliances worked and were adequate size (like the fridge and pots and pans and stuff). One of the best things about The Sea Gypsy is the proximity to Kylos (who makes the best Mai Tais in Lincoln City). Other than the Mai Tai, I also recommend trying a Pain Killer. That was delicious and you can easily walk between the two. We will definitely be coming back
