Newly renovated (completed 10/2019)!

*Due to Hurricane Florence (in September 2018) we were unable to rent during the time frame of October 2018 to October 2019.

Located at 21 N. Front St. (Unit 2B2) in Wilmington, NC 28401

Come visit and stay in the middle of everything that is Downtown Wilmington. Dining, shopping, concert venues and nightlife are literally outside your window and front door. One block from the Riverwalk that runs along the majestic Cape Fear river.

Sleeps two (adults) comfortably. Sheets, towels, Firestick and high speed WiFi included. Private entrance to the 2nd floor.

Kitchen boasts all stainless appliances, ice maker in freezer, coffee maker, toaster, cherry cabinets, fully stocked kitchen (hardware and utensils only; no food or perishables included) with all necessary items to stay in and cook if so desired.

There is also a balcony/fire escape outside the bedroom that overlooks Front Street. A great place to start the day and soak in that first morning cup of coffee.

Parking deck is conveniently located across the street with daily, weekend and long term parking rate options. There is street metered parking as well.

PERFECT Downtown Wilmington Location

A basic 1 bed 1 bath, but very clean and functional. Amazingly close to a wide variety of excellent bars and restaurants. Not as loud as I was expecting. Great value.

This place was great BUT for sleeping.. not so good. There is a rooftop bar on top of this building, so unless you are partying till 2am with the rest of the youngsters, bring earplugs. Otherwise, this place was a great location, clean, and just what we needed.

Excellent event location

The apartment was in a fantastic historic location. It was clean and comfortable. I was able to walk downstairs to watch my son compete in the ironman event. The noise level is what should be expected in a downtown, lower level, apartment. But if you are travelling with children, they might have a difficult time sleeping. For us, it was perfect and i will consoder staying again.

It was clean and very nice. I liked the fact that you could go out on the fire escape and just watch the night life and see what it is about, but not actually have to be in the crowd. Michelle was very responsive to any questions that I had. I will back ! Great location right Downtown Front Street Wilmington, NC.

I'm torn . .

Location: A+ Physicals: A, historic charm and nice stylish furnishings. Noise: C, we expected some street/bar noise but this was way over the top. In addition to night life noise there was extremely load neighbors and then the cleaning crew for bars came at 4:00 am. Cleanness: C, dark hair all over the sheets. The PM assured us they were clean just her dogs hair from the wash. Kitchen was not wiped down, sticky handles etc. After a day we finally found the coffee pot (top cupboard shelf above microwave) and had to clean it before use. A few bugs on the floor and window seal.

This apartment was beautiful clean and very comfortable. The location couldn't be beat! We loved being at the center of the city yet not far from the beach! The check-in was simple and straightforward. We felt very safe in the building and having the fire escape access was an added plus! We would definitely recomend staying here!

Great place for couples downtown

My wife and I stayed at Adam and Michelle’s condo for a few days recently. Check in process was easy, parking garage is within walking distance. The condo itself was as described and pictured. Very clean! We had plenty of towels, blankets, dishes, etc to accommodate our needs. Condo was within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend for couples looking for a place in Wilmington!

Decent unit with a couple issues

Our stay was about average at Andrew/Michelle's place. The first night there was some flooding from the HVAC unit which really put a bummer on our night. Andrew was very responsive to try to fix the problem but it shouldn't have been a problem we had to deal with. The other issue was there were quite a few ants and a few cockroaches we had to deal with. Andrew came over quickly with some bug spray and was very helpful. The place itself was definitely enough for 2 people with a nice size bedroom and living area. The kitchen had all the basics and the bathroom was very clean.

Great city vibe

Right in the heart of downtown Wilmington, this spot offered easy access to everything you want to see. The flat itself is exactly like the photos, definitely not a catfish. The homeowners were also super easy to work with.

This a perfect location for the downtown life everything is within walking distance. The condo is beautiful. Your staying in the city so expect city activity. The elevator was not working the whole time I was there but it’s only 1 flight up. The washer and dryer are coin operated so bring some quarters if you plan on doing laundry. I would definitely stay again. Thank you to the host for being so prompt on answering my questions❤️

Cute and clean - perfect for our needs

Perfect place for a short two night stay. My husband and I drove to the beach for the morning/early afternoons and then came back to clean up before heading out to walk by the river. Right downtown, we were in short walking distance to lots of restaurants, the river and historic parts of the city. The apartment was cute, super clean, and mostly quiet. Would stay there again should we go back!

Second time staying at this property. The owners are super helpful and answer quickly when you message them. The apartment is super clean and comfortable. Excellent location, it really doesn't get better than this spot. Close to shopping, bars, restaurants, the riverwalk, and the cotton exchange. The positives: Lovely upscale condo. Great location close to shops, restaurants, bars & riverwalk. Parking garage is maximum $8.00 a day & less than a block away. Nice rooftop bar with great views. Free use of washer & dryer. Owner checks in to make sure all is well. Secure residential area. Easy check in and out. Negatives: Noisy at night from the bar on Front street & people going into the alley. Elevator was broken for 2 days. Kitchen poorly stocked. We enjoyed our stay & would highly recommend it. Would stay again, a few additional kitchen items are strongly suggested.

Ideal Location, close to everything downtown!!

If you are looking for a place to stay for the weekend/week that is located near everything in downtown Wilmington and the river walk, look no farther. This being said, if you are looking for a quiet get away, this may not be your best option. The apartment itself is lovely with charm and character however the rooftop bar on the building means there is considerable noise in the evenings/wee hours of the morning. Michael and Adam are accommodating and gracious hosts who will gladly provide you with any information you may require while staying in their apartment.. Overall this is a great little place and I would stay here again in the future.

Michael was the best! He was very attentive and was happy to take care of any questions or issues we had. The location is amazing if you love downtown Wilmington. It does tend to be a bit noisy when the night life gets going but if that doesn’t bother you, this is the perfect place! I will definitely stay there again!

This place was PERFECT, my boyfriend and I are from Raleigh and just wanted to get away for the weekend. We toured the battle ship, had lunch and beers, did a little shopping and did everything within walking distance of this place. The owners are great, we forgot our phone charger there and they offered to mail it back to us shortly after our stay! 10/10 I will say though, if you are looking for a quiet get away to read a book indoors and go to bed at 9:00pm... this isnt it. There is an awesome roof top bar that gives this place a steady amount of background noise

Perfect!!

It was perfect! My husband and I stayed there for the Ironman 70.3 and it was in the perfect location. It is a short walk to the convention center with easy access to the highway to Wrightsville Beach. It is also right in the middle of everything in downtown Wilmington. We loved every minute of staying there. Michael made several contacts to make sure everything was okay and that we had everything that we needed. We will definitely stay there again if we return to Wilmington. We highly recommend it.

Downtown Excitement

Michael’s apartment is lovely, well furnished, and the perfect location for enjoying downtown Wilmington and all it has to offer. BUT...the building itself has a few quirks you need to be aware of. The building has an elevator which is great if you’re traveling with octogenarians and a lot of crap. This particular elevator has obviously been in service for many years, and apparently get a LOT of use by patrons of the rooftop bar. Fortunately, we were warned by a ‘local’ that we needed to keep all our weight balanced in the center of the elevator, as it had a tendency to ‘hang up’ if overloaded or unbalanced. This proved to be true. Also, this perfect location comes with it’s share of downtown liveliness...lots of noise from the patrons of the establishments on the first floor of the building, even more activity from those visiting the rooftop bar. Earplugs are a must if you are a light sleeper. We stayed here for two nights, and met the members of the hard-working Wilmington Fire Department on both of them. First night a drunk in the basement set off the fire alarm, second night was a patron stuck in the elevator. The fireman I spoke with told me that visits to this building were pretty-much routine. We three old ladies had a good time in Wilmington and would stay at Michael’s again, in spite of all the unexpected excitement!

Where you want to be!

Historic downtown location , with European charm, this VRBO provides both. An architecturally interesting building reclaimed for urban living. The wide plank floors and big windows provide interest and light. It is a slight walk up to the unit. Well laid out design provides all the necessary convenience and free laundry room a few steps away. Michael and Adam are very attentive and welcoming hosts. Their unit is very well maintained and decorated with sophistication and charm. I highly recommend them to you. Perfect location and great clean condo!

We absolutely loved the property! We took our two teenaged daughters to discover all the One Tree Hill locations. It was a perfect walk to the river walk, and many other great places! It was so clean and we had a great time cooking meals in the kitchen to save money to do other things. It was very secure and just an amazing location!

We purchased this property in 2013 and have rebuilt the entire unit from scratch. We are very happy with the outcome as it has been a labor of love. We are even happier to share this property with you, your friends and family.

Why they chose this property

It is beyond unique in its location in town. The history of the building goes back to 1899 with the the cornerstone being laid on May 13, 1899, with a full Masonic ceremony. During its earlier years, it was primarily used for commercial offices, Masonic lodges and ceremonial halls.

The building has had its share of Hollywood limelight as well. Dennis Hopper bought the building in 1992 as a major restoration project. The 4th floor was used as a banquet room in the film, "Road to Wellville". The building was also occupied by Sandra Bullock while she was in town filming "28 Days". More recently, the building was the site of many scenes in the Jason Sudeikis / Jennifer Aniston film, "We're the Millers" and the upcoming Russell Crowe movie, "The Georgetown Project".

In 1999 it was sold to a local developer and on the first floor, Port City Java opened its flagship downtown coffee shop later that year. The second and third floors have been renovated into apartments. One of which you will be staying in!

Finally, on the fifth floor you will find a rooftop bar, Level 5. The bar boast an outstanding river view and is open 6 nights a week.

What makes this property unique

You can't be any closer to all that Wilmington offers. The best part is that you do not have to drive anywhere to soak in EVERYTHING that is Wilmington. From the old world Civil War history to the modern day, you can see it all.
