We had a group of women who stayed at the retreat center for two nights. It was a great location as the women felt like they had their own space. There are lots of bathrooms so we felt like we didn’t need to wait in anyone. The kitchen is somewhat small but we assigned three women to the kitchen at a time for meal prep and serving and it worked out just fine. There was plenty of seating for all our group. There were a few things (like always) that I made the host aware of and she would look into it or was already being addressed. Overall we felt like it was a place that accommodated 16 women and served our purpose of being there.

Very good for large family gathering

We had a family get together and really enjoyed the stay at the property. Lots of bedrooms and space for everyone. Close to stores and downtown Luray which was nice as well. Would recommend and consider staying again if circumstances permit.

Pros: --We got a large home dor a multi generation family trip for a good price.-- Enough bedrooms/bathrooms/sitting spaces in common rooms/table space for eating, etc for a large group--Well stocked kitchen-- Quick communication with hostCons:-- pillows really not even useful. Really flat, uncomfortable. Bed frame in one room kept falling apart -- Found mold on one of the bathroom vents. The owner did send someone to clean it-- one bed not made when we checked inOverall, decent place for the money. Basic, not fancy.

Huge house! Perfect for big group of people.

Old, but nice place. We are 7 families, 14 adults and 9 kids. There was a plenty of space for us. Wonderful porch.

Old Rag

This house was perfect for our group that was just there a few days to hike Old Rag. Jane was great to work with. The house was clean and has lots of room for large groups. The drive is about 40 minutes to Old Rag.

Wedding weekend

wonderful house had so much space my son got married and we had family coming in from 4 countries. The bedrooms were amazing the space was amazing. I suggest this for any big family event. Only suggestion get a dishwasher other than that it was fantastic.

Good place for family reunion

Only one working fridge. But otherwise this was a great spot for our reunion. The outside yard was not conducive to unsupervised play due to debris and electric fence

The kitchen needs more spoons, forks and cereal bowls to accomadate large groups for the meals. It is advertised as a commercial kitchen but has no dishwasher. They provide towels but no washcloths. The outside needed help, lots of weeds in the flower beds, it was over grown and lawn needed mowed. But all that aside it was perfect for our family to gather from PA, OH and KY. Plenty of beds and compfy house. The house was VERY clean and we appreciated that. If we ever get to the area again I would not hesitate to stay here! A quiet place to stay.

We would love to come back. We had plenty of room and yet it had a cozy feel! Plenty of room for the kids to play outside. The fire pit was a big hit. The kitchen was amazing except there’s no handle for the microwave. Some furniture was a little dilapidated. We did have problems with a couple of leaky faucets(that we reported). We would give this an 8 out of 10.

Great home for large groups

The house has an unusual layout but it worked very well for our family holiday gathering. We had 14 adults, including 4 couples, plus a 3 year old and an infant. There are 5 good sized bedrooms down a long hall, opposite a large living room we used for games. Three more bedrooms are in a different wing with the kitchen, dining area and another living room. It offers privacy but is very close to Luray Caverns. The 3 year old was especially taken with watching the animals on the farm behind the house. This may not be the best choice for guests wanting a modern, upscale home, but we were quite content there. It even had a Christmas tree and large Santa figure by the fireplace.
