The owner Liz was very attentive and provided that every detail was covered to ensure a great stay. The cottage was very well appointed and impeccably kept. The property grounds are beautiful. This was our second year and we will be back.

Bemus point

Needed a new place to stay in Bemus Point and found Rosebud Cottage. It is perfect! Close to both Bemus and the Institute. The host was very helpful with info on the cottage. Will keep this in mind next year

Great Bemus Point getaway

The Rosebud cottage looks brand new inside and out. It is exceptionally well kept, an ideal place for two to stay very comfortably. We enjoyed being right in Bemus Point, walking to get an ice cream and watching the sun set over the lake, great for running, bike riding along the lake road and convenient to get to Chatauqua Institution. Liz, the property owner was very kind and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

My husband and I really enjoyed the Rosebud Cottage. Elizabeth was a wonderful hostess and greeted us with cheesecake and a bottle of wine! The cottage was clean and just as described. We had a short walk to shops and restaurants, and the gazebo at the back of the property was a lovely and private spot to sit and enjoy the lake. We had a relaxing stay and hope to return soon.

Relaxing Respite

Elizabeth provided a beautiful setting for our trip. The Rosebud cottage was immaculate, charming and well appointed. We enjoyed coffee in the mornings overlooking the beautiful grounds and evenings watching the sunset in the lakeside gazebo. Our thoughtful hostess provided a nice wine and cheese display upon check in, too! We look forward to returning next year !

Gorgeous cottage in a great location

We had a wonderful weekend in Rosebud Cottage. The kitchen is very well stocked and the quality of the furnishings is top notch. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed watching sunsets over the lake. It's a easy walk into town where there are some great places to eat. If you want a very relaxing, comfortable place to stay, this is the cottage for you.

As always we had a wonderful stay at the Rosebud Cottage. We just love coming here, it feels like home. Elizabeth goes above and beyond to welcome us with fresh flowers, snacks, and relaxing music playing. The property is beautiful and stocked with everything you might need. Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful location in Bemus Point

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay, the cottage was well equipped and appointed. Lovely property.... Make sure you visit the gazebo along the water.

and construction. I am an animal lover and the mother of the world's sweetest
tortoise. I grew up in Bethesda, MD and now reside in Sarasota, Florida
for 6 months in addition to Bemus Point, NY.

Why they chose this property

This historic estate has been in my family since 1981, it is meticulously carried for
and maintained. It is 12 acres on Lake Chatauqua in the village of Bemus Point.
A rare find indeed. The estate took 7 years to build in the 20's and was finished
in 1929. I just built this charming cottage where an old garage has stood in the
past. It is brand new from bottom up. There is a full time care taker on the property.

Bemus Point. Walking distance to everything.
