Cute little house

Finding it was a little tricky. It’s off the highway but all you see is the little garage which can be deceiving. The house is nice with plenty of room that fit our family of 7. It’s fully stocked with everything you need, all you have to do is buy some groceries. Property manager was easy to contact and answered my questions. Awesome weekend

It was private, and had everything we need

Home is right off the highway (well parking is right off the highway) the home is far back enough to be very private which made it really nice. We spent most of our time on the deck lookin out at the scenery and water down below. The 3rd bedroom was perfect for the kids, they are a little older so they enjoyed their little “independence” with having their own room down below. The walk down to the water is a little sketchy but We made it :) no falls or injuries to report and the kids were greeted by a mama duck and her babies. We absolutely enjoyed our stay here.

Just what the doctor wanted

This property was a dream! After three years of hard work, my wife completed her Doctorate and needed some time away to unplug. This cottage was perfect! Julie was responsive to questions and even had new deck chairs delivered d when I mentioned one was broken. All amenities worked perfectly, good WiFi, hot water, comfy beds. The decks made reading and meals wonderful. There is a winery a mile down the road and fantastic hiking at Loch Lamond Recreation Area and the Redwood Park. It was hard to leave, but we are already checking our calendar to see about a return visit. Highly recommend this cottage.

Close to everything

So there isn't much I can say that hasn't been said in the other reviews. The property was really clean and we'll maintained. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room. We enjoyed exploring the river below. I was hoping to get some fishing in, but apparently summer isn't the season for fish in the river. There were a lot of crawdads though. The location was great for taking in the sights, with just about everything within about a 20 minute drive. My only complaint, as others have stated, so I was forewarned, was the proximity to the highway. The driveway is right off the highway around a bend, making it a risky endeavor to back out. I got pretty good at it, but it was scary none the less. Also, even though the yard and deck feel like your little oasis of greenery, you can't escape the sound of cars going over the bridge. Finally, while the trip down to the river didn't bother me at all, it is a steep little climb and might be precarious to some. We had a great time all and all and I can us coming back again.

This was a lovely property for a little weekend getaway. There were a couple things that I wish I had known going in though: 1. The room with the bunkbeds is a completely separate basement room, not connected to the house but accessed by an outside door (no bathroom). This room is also where the laundry is. 2. The 2 bathrooms on the property are only accessible through bedrooms (the 2 bedrooms in the main area have bathrooms and these are it). 3. The "path" to the river is okay for young grownups and kids to scamper up & down but it's adventurous to say the least and my 65 year old mother in law (who is fit but not steady) really struggled. Younger kids would also need help. 4. The property is set back from the road but pulling in and out of the driveway can be challenging as it's a very busy 1 lane highway and you're right around a curve. We were able to make it work for our group and the owner was quick to respond to anything and very helpful/accommodating. The spot on the river is absolutely lovely and you have it almost entirely to yourself. When we were there it was ideal for kids to splash and swim in, but no current or depths to worry about.

Beautiful setting

We really enjoyed our stay. It had everything we needed and a larger kitchen and family area. We enjoyed sitting on the deck with the towering redwoods. Know that the third bedroom is a separate entrance with no direct access to bathrooms except through the other bedrooms. Overall, a very nice place.

Beautiful property, lovely town

We stayed here for our wedding weekend, and it was perfect. The house is just as it is listed, check in/out was a breeze, and the owner Julie is wonderful as well. You can walk down to the river to enjoy nature, or relax inside or outside as well. We definitely want to come back here!

Lots of room to relax in the woods

You can't beat this place for roominess and being IN the woods. Very relaxing despite being so near the main road. Kitchen had everything you could need for family dinners. Very comfortable. The 2 bathrooms are IN the 2 main bedrooms so those staying downstairs need to share.
