Welcome to my lovely home for a fabulous vacation, or a business endeavor . Guests have access to the entire 1-story home with pool and spa, palm trees, an abundance of flowers, fruit trees and unobstructed mountain views in a secluded neighborhood.. Multi colored pool lights at night create an enchanting atmosphere. Kitchen is well stocked with many amenities, spices, coffee, tea etc. Convection oven is perfect for cooking and baking! I welcome up to 5 guests and 3 bedrooms/ 2 baths, office and laundry room. Base price is for 2 guests, any additional guests pay more as displayed on the VRBO website. I'm located in the North West of Las Vegas, close to hwy 95 and interstate 215. There are two shopping centers close by, eateries and fast food, hair dressers, pizzeria and more.. About 10 min on Hwy 95-S is the Centennial shopping center, Cosco just 15 more minutes on 215-East. Paiute Golf Course 8 min., Floyd Lamb Divorse Ranch and 4 natural lakes for fishing just 5 min. Wild Horses at Cold Creek 20 min., backroad adventures to Hiddden Forest using Corn Creek exit to Desert Natural Wildlife Refuge 25 min.
I’m available if you have questions or need help. You will be swept away when marveling at the sunrise from the backyard or house and the moon by night. Just 15 min. to Mt. Charleston, Red Rock Canyon, golfing about 8 min, 25 min. to the Strip; 60 min. to Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, couple of minutes to Tule Springs Park (Floyd Lamb park), & a few hours to Scott's Castle in Death Valley or Valley of Fire, and a few more. Las Vegas is centrally located to reach an abundance of many tourist destinations and attractions like Grand Canyon, Brice Canyon, Antelope Valley, Monument Valley, Lake Powell just to name a few. I do care about my guests wellbeing as I put myself into their shoes. Their happiness is my number ONE priority.. Many of my guests come back each year to find relaxation, enjoyment or seek new adventures. As a host, I make sure they find that extra little thing they expect. I enjoy being a host to serve my guests for over 10 years. I'd like to offer you too my vacation home with the caveat of a very special fabulous Get-A-Way.

This was our fifth year and we will keep coming back. Wonderful host, she is out of sight next door and would never stop over unless she sends a text first. An incredibly landscaped backyard with a big pool. Very relaxing. Not real close to the strip, and that may be a positive for some! We play golf every day, sit by the pool in the afternoon and grill at nigh. Sigrid is a wonderful host with a beautiful, relaxing (and great value) house.

This was a perfect accommodation for my husband and me as we rounded out a multi-stop vacation. A bright, clean and spacious home, nicely decorated and comfortable. We loved sitting in the sunroom every morning while having coffee and we enjoyed hanging out in the garden area, as well. We slept well every night. The host was attentive, responsive and provided excellent communication.The location was great with quick access to shopping, food, etc... and an easy drive into the action of Vegas. We look forward to staying here again!

I booked this home for my parents, while my boyfriend and I stayed downtown for a show/work for two weeks. My parents stayed 6 nights at Sigrids. Before I booked, Sigrid and I messaged back and forth while I live in Australia. She was very kind and hospitable every step of the way. She was like a family member asking if we needed anything, or just in her mannerisms. We spoke for a hour on the phone a few days before my folks arrived. When we arrived at check in, Sigrid met us, and made my parents a homemade pie! Her home large, is very clean, organised, and welcoming; but a bit older style, not modern. It is her home, so it’s lived in and feels like a family visit. She has a nice garden. Everything worked in the home, and beds were comfortable, but a dresser to store clothes (there is a big open closet), and a shower shelf for shower products would help future guests (added tip here as not sure if there was a section to mention to Sigrid). It’s a quiet location away from the noise of the city, but close to shopping and the 95 (?). My parents liked their stay, and left her a thank you card; and I enjoyed my time at times as well. Great for families!

To address your questions, there are dressers (drawers) in each guest bedroom as well as drawers in the master bathroom in addition to the walk-in closet to store clothes. Thanks for the tip of a shower shelf. I enjoyed your parents’ "Thank You" card at check out, I take it that they liked and enjoyed their stay and vice versa. Perhaps we may meet again sometime in the future. I would like that very much. Overall the house was beautiful. All the things we needed were there. The host was very responsive and we paid to stay another 22 hours because we had a late flight. The check in was weird as the host met us at the door and went over all the rules and did a tour of the house. That is a first for me as a renter. We were tired and just wanted to relax, not have to spend 15 minutes following the host around. The main bedroom was beautiful and comfortable. The bathroom did not have a door and the bedroom did not have a door shade. There were a ton of mirrors and I felt exposed every time I took a shower. I could see the pool outback from the shower so I am sure they could see me too. The other 2 bedrooms were fine. There was a mini fridge in a small bedroom and it was gross and made it hot in that room. The biggest problem was the clutter. Every drawer was full of stuff. Her personal belongings were everywhere. There was alcohol in the cabinets and the pantry was full of food. The drawers in the dressers were full. We made it would but it was weird.

Thank you for your review. Let me correct a few things: 1. In my WELCOME emails I advised you that I would be at the property on check-in and to show you around. The reason for that is to make you familiar with some details such WIFI, door code, parking, garbage collection etc. in order to eliminate upcoming questions during your stay. I had a freschly baked fruit pie waiting for you all and hope you enjoyed it since you didn't complain about it. I undestand you were tired when you arrived but you knew my house rules in advance. 2. Both master bedroom and master bath have doors. Sorry you failed to see them. 3. The drawers in the master and guest bedrooms and bathrooms are empty. 4. There are a few unopened bottles of wine stored away. 5. The mini refrigerator was empty for your useage, and the pantry as I explained showed convenience items all available for your useage. I checked in with you a few times asking whether you had any questions. You said you didn't. I suggest to be candid with your next host instead of letting it out in a review. Not nice! Thank you for your review.

This home was the perfect base for my workation trip. It’s in a great location—close to many stunning hikes and outdoor areas. 30 minute drive to downtown Las Vegas. Inside, the space was quiet, very clean, and beautifully maintained. The host went above and beyond, welcoming me warmly and responding quickly whenever I had a question. There are A LOT of Rules when you stay here. Clean, but outdated house, with Host's clothes scattered throughout multiple closets. Host is very responsive, since she lives on the property. Am not used to paying a cleaning Fee AND having to partially clean the house as well on departure. Our experience was very similar to the VRBO commercial with Coach Saban.

I'm sorry you felt the way you did by misrepresenting the truth. Please find my comments below: 1. First of all – I do not live in the house as you wrongly stated. I stay in the independent casita on property as I physically showed and explained to you during the introduction. 2. There is a fairly large walk-in closet at the master bathroom for your personal belongings. There are more closets available to you in case you needed more. 3. Sorry, you may have been confused as I never ask my guests to clean except for taking out their personal garbage as a courtesy to my cleaners. Being a host for over 10 years with VRBO, I attend to all my guests needs heartily and thoughtfully because my guest's comfort and enjoyment is my foremost obligation and pleasure. My apologies for a missed vacation.

We met the host on site. She did a really nice job showing us around the property, showed us how to control the temperature, and how to use the main TV system. Exit/entry was easy. Nice views from front and rear of the property. Everything was clean. Sitting by the pool was enjoyable. My wife said the house was the type of place she could see herself living in when we are ready to retire. We very much enjoyed it. Restaurants, grocery, gas, and highway were all very close. The area is so much nicer than being in the city.

PLEASE READ. The biggest issue is that pool and hot tub are in complete disrepair and have black and green algae throughout. It 100% isn’t something usable unless she has the entire thing resurfaced and maintained properly. The owner stated there was a storm and that’s why it was so dirty but this level of uncleanliness goes well beyond skimming the pool and the pump running. The water quality is 100% not safe to use. So PLEASE do not stay here thinking you will be able to use her pool and hot tub. Had I brought my kids there was zero percent chance I’d let them swim in it. You also can’t enter the house with shoes on even if you’re unloading your luggage going back forth and she polices you (owner stays in a semi detached). When we arrived she came inside and scolded my guest for having his sneakers on literally 3 minutes after arriving. I would say PASS on this property all together.

Below please find my response: 1. I allowed guest and his friend very early check-in on Friday and welcomed them personally and showed them around as I usually do. 2. Guest has received my "House Rules" by email in advance of his visit.. They clearly state that this house is a "no shoe" property . When they arrived I friendly reminded them (not scolding). The purpose for sending House Rules before his arrival is to read them to avoid embarrassment and false accusations. 3. I explained to guests: a) Both pool and spa are maintained each Monday morning by a pool company who I use for many years and who does a thorough job. b) We had a storm ravaging for 2 days with fallen leaves and debris in pool/spa area which is evidenced in the photos he attached. I gave him a discount and offered him late checkout on Monday at his convenience to enjoy a cleaned pool/spa. He never responded. I’m sorry he felt the way he did by badmouthing their condition. My guests do enjoy and relax pool/spa without any complaints in any of their reviews. 4. By rereading guest’s review I feel sorry for him as his attitude is just ONE BIG COMPLAINT of a spoiled vacation which he did to himself.

The temperature was not hot enough to require using the pool. The house has an open layout which was wonderful. The decor was lovely yet comfortable and inviting. Wonderful experience! This was exactly what we were looking for. The house is in a perfect location to rest and relax and when ready, we Ubered down to the strip to explore and experience the Vegas nightlife. I’m not sure about the negative comments others posted about the host. My experience was nothing but positive. Her wanting to meet you prior to your stay isn’t something new for me as I’ve had several others want to do the same. Next time I’m in Vegas, I’ll definitely be checking to see if this property is available.

Overall, everything was good. Sigrid was very welcoming. I wasn’t sure how I would like her staying in the mother-in-law suite right next to me, but she didn’t bother us at all. The only issue I have is I like it really cold at night and I would set the air conditioner and would wake up several times a night because I Was hot and it would be turned up automatically. That’s my only complaint but at the same time I never went to Sigrid about this she might have been able to fix the problem, but I didn’t want to cause her any issue. She was a good host.

I'm very sorry that the warm temperature in the house prevented you from a good nights sleep. I just wish you would have let me know. The issue could have been resolved in seconds. In the future, please let your host know right-a-way about any discomfort. Hosts like myself want their guests to relax and enjoy their vacation away from home. You as the guest would benefit and so would the hosts by also receiving a better review from the guest. Wishing you a Happy New Year with the best of health and success.

Sigrid is an amazing host. The home is really beautiful and comfortable. Amazing pool to swim to escape the Vegas heat. The home is equipped with everything anyone would need. Sigrid was very welcoming upon arrival, and gave me a nice send off when I left. Highly recommend this home if you're looking for a stay in Vegas.

I'm a realtor in Las Vegas for many years. I was raised in Germany and enjoyed traveling to many parts of Europe. My dream was to come to San Francisco, California , from where I later moved to Marin County before I moved to LV. I worked as an independent contractor for some of the major corporations, was a software developer with integrated electronic banking, before I changed my career to become a Realtor in 2006.. I like traveling, reading, hiking, swimming, music, baking among other things.
I cater to my guests and treat them like Royalty, just how I would want to be treated as a guest in their house.

Why they chose this property

I loved the area in the northwest with its gorgeous mountain views and proximity of hwy 95 and CC215. The house was part of a small community built in 2001 in the midst of the desert. I loved the inside with its airie feeling, high ceilings, big windows and glass doors. My furniture, chrystal and glassware, pictures, carpets and other decorative items added to the comfortable appearance and atmosphere with a warm touch. My dream was to transform the yard into a lovely oasis with palms, roses, bushes and tropical flowers, crowned with a pool and spa. It took many dedicated hours from professionals to make this dream come true. It gives me joy maintaining and enhancing it, watch beautiful sunrises as well as moon rises which are ever so different. I hope you too, my guest(s), will find relaxation, enjoyment, 'Down time" from our hectic life in my private get-a-way In Las Vegas.

What makes this property unique

The house has beautiful mountain views, it's an oasis with it's palm trees, flowers and luscious landscape & a genuine quietness.. It is close to shopping, hwy's, casinos and restaurants, sightseeing at Mt. Charleston and Red Rock Canyon with it's well maintained hiking trails for all levels of hikers & mountain climbers. Lee Canyon offers great skiing, tubing & much more for kids and adults alike. Kyle Canyon's picnic area invites family gathering or just plain strolling in this gorgeous country just minutes away. Just 2 minutes away is Tule Springs (Floyd Lamb Park) where starlets during the 1930s=1940s waiting for their final divorce entertained themselves with dancing, parties, swimming, riding & fishing...Fishing is still active today in 4 natural lakes of this state park framed by mature trees, picnic tables, barbeques & permanent guests like ducks, geese, peacocks & many others. If you drive a few miles further north on hwy 95 you will see on your right the Paiute reservation & still a bit further north you can take the exit to Corn Creek on your right. There are some really nice meandering trails which take you over & along the creek, several ponds, by some historic ranch buildings, and under shady trees. This is a pastoral area, which was inhabited in the 1700's by Paiute Indians, by Mormon settlers in the 1850's, pioneers and ranchers in 1900's (wagon/stage stop), and purchased by the Govt in 1936. Corn Creek is a nice little destination for children, older adults, and anyone who may not be aware of life in So. Nevada beyond the neon and casinos. If you drive a little further north you will come to the Best kept Secret in Las Vegas: Wild horses at Cold Creek! At 6,500 feet you’ll find their home among snow covered mountains in Cold Creek, until the end of April or into May. To visit them, take the "Cold Creek" exit on your left and follow the route to enjoy and marvel these wonderful animals.That's what makes my property stand out and unique.
