The Silver Princess Cottage is the first of three two-bedroom cottages that Karma Kinglake offers. These gorgeous and cozy hexagonal-shaped cottages are in three acres of beautiful gardens. They are ideal for families, couples, or friends who want to get away, relax, and unwind in nature.
Kinglake is home to the amazing Kinglake National Park. It is just an hour from Melbourne airport and CBD, close to the wineries of the Yarra Valley, and has fabulous walking and cycling trails.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the entire property (just over 3 acres), we have specific rooms available for guests who require disability access, and we welcome well-behaved dogs upon request.
Make yourself at home, and ask us about our local native birds (feed them from your deck area). We live onsite and are here if you need us, and we are happy to help you explore.
Ideal for groups or that special occasion.

Interesting property - well designed and very comfortable.
Nice to listen to the birdlife and very little traffic.
Within easy walking distance to shops and the local pub - great lunch!
We had a thoroughly enjoyable visit to Karma Kinglake. Our cottage was cosy, elegant and suitable for our family’s needs; the rainfall shower was awesome, fireplace was charming and waking up to the eucalypts emerging through the mist was magical. A short stroll to the amazing Bollygum Park and into town to explore. Many thanks for our little getaway.
Definitely a peaceful place to stay.
All the birds singing in the morning and looking out watching the chooks.
Sat on the deck in the morning and watched the sun rise.
Loved the little wood heater. Was even going when we arrived.
Definitely enjoyed our stay
Thankyou
We loved our first family trip away this year to Kinglake. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the Bollygum Park (amazing playground) and the shops. Our 1 year old loved all the wildlife, especially the chickens and looking out all the windows in our "Nest". We had a pretty chilly and rainy few days but the fire and central heating made the little unit very cosy and warm. Would definitely stay here again, a great base for day trips and spending time as a family.
We loved the property! Very relaxing with chickens, birds and heaps of open space for our one year old and dog to run around. Unit was clean and well equipped. The property is less than 5 minutes walk to the park and local pub. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay. The photos don’t do the units and property justice.
Unit was very clean with personal touches, fire stocked ready to go, bedding & towels supplied, continental breakfast in unit & free range eggs if wanted which were all appreciated and added to the experience of our stay. Quiet area, easy check in. Would recommend.
We arrived at the property instantly loved the scenery! Beautifully tucked away and surrounded by forest and wild life. There was a wood fire that had already been set up, we just had to light the match. It was quiet and very peaceful. I defiantly will be coming back.
Beautiful grounds, perfect for a little morning walk with the chickens. Five minute walk to the local shops while feeling completely remote and serene.

Weekend getaway
Arrival is a bit confusing, but once the chickens come great you and your settled in your little cabin, they’re very cute relaxing. It had everything we needed, was clean and cosy once we had the fire going we were set. The staff are super friendly, and more then willing to help. The kitchen is great and a little Webber on the deck makes it perfect to have the choice to cook your own food. Although dot your i’s and cross your t’s as any hidden cost will be made known and expected to be paid once you’ve checked out, without any prior mention. Would recommend, for a new and up and coming business they have done an amazing job and fixing small little issues they’ll be the perfect getaway for any family!
Beautiful location, close to walks and town. Perfect size to share with the privacy of 2 bedrooms. Warm and toasty in winter with woodfire and split system. Hosts easy to communicate with and accommodating. Loved it.
The property is everything as described on their website. Nicely designed eco friendly unit with plenty of room. Queen sized beds were comfortable, bathroom is huge and heated. The kitchenette does not have a built in cooker, however a large electric frying pan is supplied. Open lounge, dining & kitchenette is large enough & heated via the split system or the wood heater. Covered balcony with table & chairs and Weber gas bbq.. Almost like a farm stay with all of the chooks free ranging around the property, very cute but watch where you step.
