Located in the heart of Detroit lakes, you will enjoy the beautiful quiet setting on Shorewood drive or venture out to all the local attractions Detroit lakes has to offer.
Seasonally rented - 30+ day rental.
Professionally cleaned before and after every stay.

This year round home offers three bedrooms, two bathrooms, on the desirable little Detroit lake. Huge living and dining space with fireplace and sun-room, lakeside patio with grill area facing west for breathtaking sunset dinners. Gentle sloped lot to excellent swimming. Dock also included to bring your boat to fish for walleye and muskies. Sit back, relax at the lake, bring your friends and family, play bean bag toss, or fish for sunnies off the dock. Home sleeps 7 in beds. This home provides a full kitchen. Dinner plates, glasses, plastic cups, Tupperware to store leftovers in large refrigerator or Large freezer, normal pots & pans, large roaster, large pot for boiling, 9x13 cake/hotdish pan, toaster, coffee pot, blender, crock pot, bean pot. Metal Grilling utensils.
Bath towels provided along with beach towels and kitchen towels.

This home is perfect for a large group and entertaining at the lake or stay for the winter and utilize Detroit Mountain's ski and tubing hill!

If you don't see something you might need, please inquire and we will let you know what we do, and do not provide for your week at the lake.

Detroit lakes offers the Detroit Mountain - summers offer hiking and bike trails, rent or bring your own to see the gorgeous views of Detroit lake and the city of Detroit lakes. Winters offer down hill skiing, snowboarding, and and a tubing hill.

Family Trip

This was our first family trip to Detroit Lakes and we were not disappointed. The property was exactly as described. It was great to have a dock for our boat and kids (and adults) to catch fish from. We would definitely rent this property again for a family getaway!

House was adorable

We came to Detroit lakes for a snowmobile trip. Since the house is on the lake it was ideal because you can get on 2 different trails from the lake. We could park our sleds right in front of the house. Which was very convenient. We were able to park our 28ft trailer in the drive way and 2 full size trucks. We had to ask the neighbor if they cared if we could park our smaller trailer in their parking area (not drive way). We weren't sure of parking regulations in the winter time for parking a trailer on the road. We also had to drive down the road on the sleds to get on the lake initially because there wasn't access in-between the houses. Not a big deal. House was cute, clean and perfect for our group of 7.

Relaxing Vacation Home

We enjoyed our stay at this vacation home! The home was very clean, inviting, spacious and comfortable. It was just as it was described. It was helpful to have both a full refrigerator and freezer. We enjoyed the paddle boards, bean bag toss, grilling out, and swimming. Rochella was kind and quick to respond. We would highly recommend this location!

Great Place Right on the Lake

We had a great time over a long weekend in October. The property was clean and felt well taken care of. There is a nice yard and a dock in the lake, and we saw some wildlife in the water! The sunsets are beautiful as promised. The living room area was great for us to hang out in. Cute decor and lots of supplies. The owners were quite responsive when we ran out of gas in the grill, they got it fixed very quickly! NOTE: there is not really internet in this cabin. It is not very clearly posted in the notes. You can get limited internet in the main room, they have it set up so you can use the Amazon Fire Stick for entertainment.

Multigenerational vacation

We loved our time at the lake with family aged 8 months to 88. The home was perfect for all. Good closet, pantry, freezer space. Beautiful view from inside or out! Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing and comfortable home on the lake.

Great Experience!

We were in the lakes area for my sister's wedding and needed a place to stay for the weekend on short notice. Ended up booking the 'Little Detroit Lake home' and we were thoroughly impressed. The owners responded to our urgent inquiries expeditiously and the weekend stay went very smoothly...would recommend this rental to anybody looking to take advantage of the lakes area in the summer, as the property is located right on Detroit Lake and close to everything (lakes / golf courses / restaurants). They weren't kidding about that sunset..gorgeous!

Excellent rental!

My husband's parents rent a lake home in Minnesota every 4th of July week and invite my husband and I, his two siblings and their spouses, and all seven grandchildren to enjoy a family holiday together. We have been doing this for about ten years now, and have stayed in various places all over the state, and this is among our favorites. It is spacious, and the location cannot be beat, as it is directly on Little Detroit with access by boat to the many resorts and restaurants on it. The owners live next door and are extremely accommodating to all of our needs as well. We definitely want to stay here again!

Great place to stay!

The owner responded quickly to my inquiries and was very accommodating. This was my first stay at a vacation rental so I was not sure what to expect. We were in the area for a memorial service for my mother who passed away and it was nice to come back to a comfortable home with comfortable beds and get some rest after a hard day. The home was furnished nicely. The view of the lake was great. The owners brought us some firewood for the fire pit. Our family will definitely be returning.
