Melanie was more than happy to work with us on our visit. The location is great and close to good restaurants and the scenery is beautiful. A very nice small community that's very quiet and relaxing. I would definitely stay at this home again. Denise and John Dunlop
We highly recommend staying at this property! This was our first experience with VRBO and it exceeded our expectations. Melaney is fabulous, the property is beautiful.... spacious, perfect layout(split floor plan) gorgeous views. It was a great home away from home....it has everything you need. Check-in and check-out process was very easy. The location was perfect....quiet but close to anything you need (shopping, restaurants, hiking, etc...). Definitely would rent again!

Dana was an ideal guest - she kept the house in immaculate condition and was super flexible when minor maintenance had to be performed. She is one of a kind and know that if she rents from you - you house is in excellent hands!
This property was very nice. It was quiet and access to shopping was easy. You could take a hike at Sabino State Park right down the road. Lots of wild life to see and enjoy!
The Copper Canyon community is a nice size, clean and well kept up. There is a nice community pool and hot tub.
Neighbors were all welcoming and helpful. Good location to grocery stores, restaurants and Sabino Canyon.
The home was comfortable and had everything we desired.
The kitchen had a good selection of pots, pans and utensils. Stocked with spices, cooking oils and other basic needs.
Bedrooms and bathrooms meet our needs. Comfortable living room to gather to visit or watch TV.
Nice backyard patio. It was also nice to have access to the garage for parking.
Melaney was easy to reach and communicate with throughout the whole process of reserving the home to answering questions during the stay.
We located the Morris K Udall Park and Recreation center which offered senior activities for a reasonable price. Sabino Canyon was less then a mile away and offered great hiking and activities. Tucson offers over 50 miles of great dedicated bike trails. There are a lot of things to see and do in Tucson.
I would recommend a stay in the Oasis Desert Home.
We enjoyed our two-month stay. Lots of space. Great patio overlooking the Catalinas. Close to Sabino Canyon, Owner was very responsive and helpful when we had questions or concerns. We would definitely go back.

Great getaway!
This was a perfect place for us - close to town but secluded and quiet. Very comfortable home not lacking for any amenities. The patio backs up to Ventana Wash, adding to the quiet and shade from the huge cottonwood, mesquite and palo verde trees. Community saltwater pool is a great spot to wind up the day!
Several good restaurants within walking distance. Sabino Canyon and Ventana Canyon both about a mile away for some great hiking.
We'd be happy to stay here again if we get the chance. Thanks, Melanie!

Nice house in great location for hiking, running, cycling & relaxing.
The house was a nice size with comfortable furnishings. The owner provided many of the comforts of home including spices, laundry detergent, Bounce, etc. Really great for cooking without having to spend money for everything to make the meal just right & to get your dirty clothes clean. The location near Sabino Canyon made for easy access to some great hiking, trail running & cycling or a nice walk after dinner. Internet access worked well as did Dish Network on the big flat screen TV. Would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable, Quiet and a great location for cycling in Tucson
I really enjoy my stay in Melaney's place. It was quiet and very comfortable. There is a beautiful patio over looking a wash with mountain views. The place is a great location for cycling with easy access to popular Tucson road rides ... no need to drive. The beds are comfortable. The house is well used and does show some wear and tear, hence my choice for 4 stars. But for a great location and a comfortable stay in Tucson you won't be disappointed.

Quiet patio relates to natural Ventana Wash, great location for many activities, wonderful house!
We selected this property because we thought it might be close to hiking options and several golf courses. We were right and the
property was better than we expected. Coming from a vacation rental in Phoenix that had many short comings this house was a dream.
The patio overlooks the Ventana wash. You feel like you have a private over look into a wild and natural area. The complex is quiet and not so large.
The house is nearly at the end of the longest street in the complex giving it a feeling of privacy. We liked that very much.
The location in Tucson is great. You are about a mile from several good trail heads for hiking. Ventana Golf Club is about a mile away as well several good courses if you are a golfer. Shopping is walkable for groceries. Restaurants too.
The house itself is clean and very well appointed. I cook and I felt I had what I needed in the kitchen. I brought my own knives but I used the ones in the house.
We ran out of gas for the grill and the owner was very quick to provide the refilled gas. She was very responsive to any concerns we had which were very few.
The community pool is not heated so if you are there in the winter it will be very cold. There is a hot tub that we used a few times over our month stay.
We really liked this house and would be happy to come back again.

Outstanding Home
My wife and I have used VRBO numerous times in the past few years, this is by far the best one yet. The unit is well cared for, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Well, and I mean really well stocked kitchen with all the utensils, dishes, spices, etc one needs. The unit is very quiet, no traffic noise, and a great patio to relax on in the afternoons or to sip your morning coffee. Melaney, the owner is very accommodating and helpful.

Great property, excellent location
We have been going to Tucson in January for several years, renting a house each time. We feel that this property is the best rental we have had in Tucson. The townhouse is obviously well maintained and clean. A master bedroom on the main floor and a guest bedroom and sitting room upstairs was an ideal arrangement for us. This is the first time we have stayed that far north and east, in the Sabino Canyon area, and it turned out to be an excellent location for us. We have friends in that part of town, and there is plenty to do there, including the Ventana Canyon trail, which we hiked for the first time. The unit is also well placed within the complex, near the end, so it was very quiet and there was little traffic outside. The owner had obviously gone to great lengths to provide nearly everything we would need in terms of bathroom and cleaning supplies, and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, utensils, spices, etc. The patio was beautiful, a lovely place to spend quiet time outdoors, and it was enclosed so that it was safe for our dog. The rental was advertised accurately, lived up to our expectations, and was offered at a fair price. That's about all we renters can ask for.

About the host
Hosted by Melaney Seacat
I am semi retired and work part-time in private practice as a trauma therapist. My home in Tucson is my sanctuary 9 months out of the year. Other times I travel and visit family and friends in California. I have had a great experience renting to people on VRBO during times when I am not at home. That said, I stopped renting for the past few years so my listing is probably not showing any reviews. I love hiking, yoga, meditation and cooking!
Why they chose this property
Proximity to the best Tucson has to offer in outdoor recreation, shopping, and dining. Lovely, quiet, friendly neighborhood. Peaceful atmosphere - feels like a nature or artists retreat. The serene atmosphere, comfortable furnishings, livable outdoor patio with lots of shade; and being less than a mile from Sabino Canyon with perennial streams and world class hiking trails are some of the key attributes that makes this property a gem.
What makes this property unique
Other unique benefits include proximity to the best hiking trails in SW Arizona! Bird life on my backdoor patio. A live music venue just down the street. An internationally renowned health resort, spa and golf course just up the street. We are also close to the scenic drive up to spectacular Mount Lemon.
