Private Suite with a Sweet View. Spacious, close to town, dog friendly
The Kiva Suite is spacious, (1,000 sq ft) and cozy with a retro/contemporary vibe. The partially open floor plan has a living area with a floor-to-ceiling glass view wall and 12-foot ceilings. The view is simply amazing. Our entrance is across from the confluence of two rivers, the Deerfield and the North. Walk down the driveway to spend a day where swimming is magical. If you love fly fishing, this is the place for you. Just walk to a prime fishing spot. Water lovers can enjoy the rivers and bask on warm smooth glacial rock formations or spread a blanket on the river-sand beach and watch eagles fishing nearby. The perfect day of swimming and fun in the sun! Yup, Paradise.
A queen bed sleeping nook is adjacent to the living space with a privacy screen. An additional private bedroom has a double bed and single mattresses. The Suite is similar to a large hotel suite. If you want complete privacy from your fellow occupants this is not your best choice. However, it's a great place for families and close friends. There is an ensuite full bathroom. The suite DOES NOT have a kitchen. It DOES have a microwave, coffee maker, larger mini-fridge, and toaster, and is stocked with glassware, etc. No kitchen, no worries, you will be just two miles away from so many amazing places to eat and drink that you will not want to spend time cooking. Shelburne Falls has some of the top-rated eateries in the state even though we're a small town.
The Kiva Suite occupies the entire lower level of our large contemporary home and has a no-contact, secure private entrance. The Suite is NOT childproof.
The base rate covers up to 3 guests(including children). A fourth can be added at an additional fee of $50/night upon request only.
We are small/medium dog (1) friendly, please contact us about your dog before booking. There is an additional fee of $50 per stay.
The property is 2 miles from downtown Shelburne Falls allowing for fun outings, amazing eateries, shopping, candlepin bowling, the bridge of flowers, and Glacial Potholes; to name a few. The property is adjacent to the Audubon Society Wildlife Sanctuary with hundreds of acres of fun and an abundance of wildlife.
The Suite has a 5-star cleanliness rating. Contact us with any questions or concerns.
Your privacy is our priority, relax and enjoy the views.

Great place to stay with a small group. Absolutely amazing view of the mountains. Everything was great, things were labeled so I didn’t have to ask questions. Will definitely be staying again if we are in town again
Beautiful, inside and out! Lovely decor and flow and the view was amazing! Close to downtown Shelburne Falls and all it has to offer. Thank you. Will definitely be back!

We liked the fact that it was very quiet, perfectly described, had an amazing view and was beyond peaceful. The gardens and landscape made the setting even better.
Wished we were in the area longer so we could’ve stayed longer.
Would definitely book this suite again.
We had a great stay at this beautiful spot - comfortable beds, lots of options for sleeping arrangements. Very clean and thoughtfully appointed - excellent communication. Thank you!
Communication with the host was excellent, getting in and out was easy, and the apartment was comfortable, clean and exactly as described. We used this spot as our base of operations for checking out the quaint little downtown of Shelburne Falls and for a day trip nearby in the Berkshires. It's a beautiful area and this apartment has a nice view of the mountains through the big windows along the front. Definitely recommend.
A weekend getaway w a lifelong friend. We greatly enjoyed the beautiful view, sitting by the big windows in the morning, sipping coffee and catching up. It’s just what we needed.
Shelburne Falls has a very nice Main Street (Bridge Street). The Blue Rock restaurant is a high recommend.
We stayed at this property because my son had a mountain bike race at thunder Mountain.
The location was perfect, Only 15 minutes away from thunder Mountain .
Shelburne Falls was very cute and had everything we needed.
The property was just as described, clean, quiet and spacious.
Kathy was a great host and we could text her at any time with questions or concerns.
We will definitely stay here again for another race.
Great property with great view, cute suite with everything we needed for a short stay while getting our daughter settled back in at Amherst College. Enjoyed a nice dinner nearby at Blue Rock Shelburne Falls, a little shopping and coffee at Mocha mayas and Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters. My husband did a little fly fishing just off the property in the Deerfield River. Thank you!
We appreciated and truly enjoyed this beautiful spot. Secluded and serene, off the beaten path, bucolic and nestled in the lower level of a very lovely, well-maintained property. Comfortable for us 3 (2 parents and an 18 year old son). Bathroom has steps up to enter, but otherwise unit is all one level and easy to maneuver in, with an open floor plan. Dog family member was able to get outside time as needed, and we were very happy to be able to bring her along.

Thanks again. Come back anytime and bring your adorable doggie as well. Happy to give a reference if ever you need one for your 4 legged traveling companion. I did not find one dog hair in the entire suite!
Located on a beautiful piece of hidden land up a private road. Charming 70s vibe suite, colorful and inviting. A few minutes to interesting town on a river. Nature abounds including deer! Host very responsive and had good recommendations.
This property looks out to the nearby hills and they are gorgeous. We saw deer and rabbits from the living area couch. There is not a full kitchen so for meals we went to Shelburne Falls where they have quaint restaurants.
We enjoyed our time at the Kiva Suite! Came into town to go to a game at UMASS and we were excited to find a town with so much to offer. At the same time we had the comforts of staying in a private spot that our friends and our dog, loved! The place was so comfortable and we felt right at home! Thank you Kathleen for welcoming us!
We truly enjoyed our stay. The location of the house has a wonderful view of the mountains. The property is well maintained and the unit itself was immaculately cleaned and has a very nice vibe about it.
Kathy the property owner was responsive, very friendly, and helpful with directions and other questions we had.
Overall, our experience was extremely positive, and will definitely return for a future stay.
I loved the design of this suite: colorful, upbeat, modern, sophisticated. I love the combination of colors that Kathy used! The design of the overall house was also just beautiful. Kathy, the host, is very fun to talk to. The suite was very comfortable and spacious. We had been warned that there was no kitchen as such to make use of, so that was not a problem for us. I would suggest a few small alterations to make the suite even more practical: 1) window covers for the main bedroom, so that one does not wake up early in the morning due to daylight; 2) a way to wash up one's dirty dishes other than in one's bathroom sink, given the absence of a sink near the mini-fridge and microwave; and 3) a heads up that one's cell phone coverage can be spotty on the property - it is fine as soon you transition from the driveway onto the main road, however. (The wifi is decent, however). Overall, a very nice stay!
We had a lovely restful stay for our first away since Covid. Location was great and accommodations, clean, tasteful, and comfortable. We hope to come back and stay longer.
Kathleen was communicative and welcoming. The space was beautiful. Very private with plenty of space and amenities, and super cute. The view was amazing and downtown was so close. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.
I thoroughly enjoyed getting away from it all! Clean, peaceful, bright and calm. The mini fridge has enough room to hold some basics and leftovers. Wonderfully decorated, neat and tidy.
