Situated high on a hill overlooking 57 acres of beauty that is bounded by the east fork of the Trinity River. You're getting BOTH the Cottage and the Farmhouse - which are close yet detached for privacy. We live nearby for quick attention.
We offer a 1600 sq ft air conditioned event barn and 1800 sq ft open-air pavilion for rent for events like weddings, meetings, retreats, and family reunions. We can support weddings up to 150, but 100 would be the ideal guest count. We offer tables, chairs, linens, and farm themed decor for rent for your wedding or other event. ***Outside guests are not allowed on the property without an event agreement and additional fee.
RVP is within a few miles of many other wedding venues, making this perfect for guests or even the bride & groom's first night before honeymoon travel. We are the ideal solution for those needing overnight accommodations for out of town wedding guests plus a location for the wedding rehearsal and dinner for those choosing one of the other nearby venues for their ceremony and reception. We are flexible for your needs!
Situated on 57 acres bounded by the east fork of the Trinity River and on a dead end road that is canopied by giant trees makes this a natural retreat that is just minutes to shopping and dining. The lightly traveled paved county roads out here are absolutely perfect for running and biking! Bring your bikes, they'll be safe out here. At night the stars are bright and clear and the sunrises and evenings are beautiful. The houses are surrounded by trees and since they sit on a hilltop there always seems to be a cooling breeze blowing. We live down the hill a bit so you'll see us occasionally and our amazing friendly dog Jack. You may even see deer in the meadow and an occasional wild turkey coming up from the river. What you won't see or hear is emergency vehicles, lots of cars, loud music, or construction.

We moved to McKinney onto our country acreage over 25 year ago to raise our large family in the country. With most of our 8 kids now grown and gone we're ready to share the natural beauty of our homestead with others thanks to the internet and the new short term rentals business.
