Thinking of bringing your pets? We are one of very few luxury Santa Fe vacation rentals that are pet-friendly. Dogs must be pre-approved before booking the property. Please inquiry with pet information (breed/age) and review our Pet Policy and additional fee prior to booking.
About your place: Built in 1929, the property, including the casita, has been well maintained by our family for 3 generations. This hidden gem’s interior is thoughtfully decorated with an inspired mix of historic elegance and modern luxury with walls covered in original artwork. The many windows create a light and airy atmosphere. The three exterior doors lead to the two private rose garden patios for your exclusive use.
The interior is complete with Saltillo tile floors, a spacious living room with a comfy couch that has a pull out queen bed and kiva fireplace, an additional sitting room, a sizeable bedroom with a king size mattress (Stearns and Foster) with 700 thread count sheets, a surprisingly large walk-in closet, a full bath with luxury linens, and a well-equipped kitchen suitable for fine cooking.
The modern kitchen includes a Bosch refrigerator, microwave and electric stove, Kenmore dishwasher, a large assortment of pots, pans and cookware, beautiful dinner and glass ware, Keurig, drip, French Press and Italian espresso coffee makers, and a Bosch washer and dryer. The intricate wooden dining table seats 4 comfortably.
Setup as the ultimate retreat, the casita is equipped with high-speed Internet, smart tv (living room only) flat screen televisions setup in the living room. There is also a stereo for CD's, AM/FM radio and MP3 players. All windows have wooden blinds and curtains for those restful times when you need it dark and cozy.
What really sets this casita apart are the two private rose garden patios for your exclusive use. The patios include a traditional portal with a covered full-size dining table to seat 6, a sunlit smaller table and chairs to seat 4, two lounge chairs, an outdoor fireplace and a BBQ grill. The patios have partial views of the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and are perfect for lounging, grilling and dining.
Every time you drive through the gate, it feels like you are way out in the New Mexican landscape. But, oops!, forgot that bottle of wine?… There's a gourmet food and wine shop literally down the street! We think you will LOVE IT and understand why New Mexico is called the Land of Enchantment when you experience the unique, rustic beauty of the high desert, its cobalt skies and extraordinary sunsets, while staying in this perfect Southwest casita.

About the host
Hosted by OSFT Casita Management
Our family has roots in Santa Fe going back to the 1800's, much of it spent on this incredible family property. We are avid travelers; we especially love Italy, the Pacific Northwest, Latin America, NYC and Africa, and have ranged as far from home as Antarctica… but we always love to come home to New Mexico. I am an artist and jeweler and we are closely involved in the Santa Fe Arts community, and always happy to share our knowledge and lifelong experience with the area to help you enjoy your stay.
Why they chose this property
Our property is perfectly located to enjoy all that Santa Fe has to offer, yet very private and peaceful. Our family has lived in the main house (built in 1929) for generations and meticulously cared for the property, including the casita. It is a great place to get a sense of Santa Fe's history & geography. We have easy scenic access to the mountains, so it's an excellent base for exploring the town or the wilderness.
What makes this property unique
Every time you drive through the gate, it feels like you are way out in the New Mexican landscape. As you leave the property you realize you are just up from the plaza, around the corner from the museums and canyon road or poised to head up into the mountains! We think you will LOVE IT!
