Discrepancies between listing on VRBO and actual accommodations: refrigerator and microwave were in a common area, NOT in the room, as listed. It was difficult to find the switch for the gas fireplace which was the only heat in the room and it was very cold, window open, when we arrived late in the evening (host was notified of late arrival.) The phones in the room did not work to call the front desk; I had to use my cell phone to reach them. Also, bed was hard; I realize this is a matter of preference but a softer bed would have been preferred. The room was clean and the view was fantastic.

Why they chose this property
The rich, coastal wetlands around this Historic Inn make this entire area a place to get away and enjoy the serenity of nature. The town of Moss Landing, small and quaint as it may look, is rich in history. Currently, it holds one of the largest marine biology laboratories in the world, with cutting edge research in the Pacific Ocean, its wildlife from microorganisms to the biggest mammals on earth.
It is certainly a pleasure to work in a location with so much to offer and give back to our earth.
What makes this property unique
Quiet surroundings. Comfortable guest rooms. Delicious, home-cooked breakfast. Breath-taking views. A nostalgic look into the past.
