Awesome spot

Had a couple of nights here and really enjoyed the relaxing, rustic atmosphere. Fireplace was a lovely addition and kept the place feeling cosy all weekend. Was a bit tricky finding the house in the dark, but as long as you know it's behind the front house, then it's no issue at all. Definitely keen to come stay here again.

Nice spot, good reversing skills required

Good place to stay, there is a possum there that decided to scare the hell out of me and my dog at 1am, then again the following night when he landed on the roof and jumped down onto the deck. Overall and aside from that, is a great spot to stay.

Cozy bach

Beautiful bach and view, you can see the Taupo bungee from the balcony. Its a cozy bach with a fireplace, perfect for a winter weekend break. Only thing to note is driveway is dark, which makes reversing out a bit tricky. In the day it's fine though. Also we found the bed a bit hard...but guess that's a preference thing.

RUSTIC RETREAT REVIEW

This property was ideal for myself especially. Being in a wheelchair, I had space to move around without any problem. The fireplace was great, with lots of firewood on hand to warm up the house, as well as other heaters. Loved the internal poles. the unusual lamp shades on the high walls, the various wall pictures and ornaments. Lots of lovely nic nacs, cutlery, crockery, pots etc. Driveway could do with reflective lighting, especially at entrance as vision is limited when reversing. The driveway is narrow so cannot turn around due to foliage on one side and the front unit on the other side. Apart from this problem, we would gladly come back again to this gem of a house. Thanks to Vicky, Property Manager, for taking care of us from arrival to departure. Hope to meet up with you again in the future.

We really enjoyed staying here.

We really enjoyed staying here. The weather was freezing and all the roads were closed!!! But we were snug and warm and comfortable. The log burner is lovely...and there was a big pile of firewood. I would recommend this place as it is so close to the river and to Taupo.
