The property was quiet, private, and well maintained. Although there were other properties nearby the only sounds we heard were the leaves rustling in the breeze as we soaked in the hot tub and the crackling fire in the fireplace. Great cabin!

Anniversary Getaway

My husband and I had a wonderful and relaxing getaway for our anniversary at this fabulous cabin. The location between Boone and Banner Elk made reaching and enjoying both locations so easy. The property provides a scenic oasis from “city life” with a nearby lake, a babbling brook running alongside and a relaxing hot tub to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature under the stars. Kenneth was a warm, friendly host with quick responses and a willingness to be flexible with check in/out which we greatly appreciated. We will absolutely be back....with our family!

We needed a little getaway during these stressful times and this place fit our needs perfectly. We enjoyed the hot tub and fishing in the pond. The cabin was very clean and equipped with everything we needed (although it could use a few mor wine glasses) to prepare meals. We were very pleased overall!

Perfect family getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Gathering Place. The property has tons of outdoor space for young kids, including a large lawn, a small backyard creek, and fishing pond just down the road. The house is great and we appreciated its rustic and uncluttered design. Even with a family of five, we never felt crowded; there was always a quiet nook. The property is a convenient drive to Boone. It was a little further to some of the hikes in the area (~30 min), but still manageable. The property management company was responsive and engaged. We recommend this property and would certainly come back.

Do yourself a favor....STAY HERE!

Thank you, Kenneth and Evolve team. This is one of the best rentals I ever had the fortune of staying in. The cabin is SPOTLESS. The beds are SO COMFORTABLE. The kitchen has everything one could need. Did I mention the cabin is SPOTLESS?? If you're looking for a great getaway weekend this is it....the cabin is perfectly located allowing easy access to all the "must see" attractions and towns. After hiking Linville Falls we enjoyed dinner in Boone and capped off the night with a soak in the hot tub. Truly, Gathering Place Cabin makes your trip easy and relaxing. My friends and I will be back.
