The layout of the house is a little funky. You get to the downstairs and two of the bedrooms by going through the garage but wow…the downstairs is special! We had as many as nine people, including three children and there was ample space for everyone. We could really spread out. We were there for a month and it was a wonderful stay.
We had a great time enjoying the long weekend at the Pineapple in Eagles Mere. Beautiful view from the deck. Lovely lower level with a record player and great selection of music. The only issue was no cell phone reception in the house and the wifi was not working. It was a bit more off the grid than expected but still a beautiful place to escape from technology for the weekend.

Thank you Ryan for your stay and your lovely words. Yes, Pineapple is not ON the lake - but close enough to go there still, hopefully you did! :)
SO sorry about the wifi - we have fixed it and it is up and running!
Many thanks - Rich and Jean, owners
Rented this place to meet up with friends to celebrate special birthdays. We were hoping to have hours of hiking at local state parks. However the weather was simply dreadful. Three days of rain! Despite the dreariness we still take it out and do some hikes but coming back to the house was the pleasure. Even in the dreary weather the skylights made the place look bright. Kitchen was fantastic and we cooked some great meals. The fireplace was so cozy. Expect to return in the future!
This house is roomy and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay in the area. There were six of us. Location is good for visiting World's End State Park and local hiking. We chose not to purchase a temporary membership in Eagles Mere Association. (For our weekend stay, the Association quoted us a $70 fee in order to use facilities. Since we were attending a family reunion in the area we didn't feel we would have time to use the facilities enough to make it worthwhile.) The house had games, different sitting areas, a huge kitchen, and lovely grounds.
we had a great time. would have been better if the steps for the basement were accessible from inside the cabin.
we were not sure how to handle the trash or if we were to strip the beds as there were no instructions inside. so hope we did alright
also, to let you know you have a slight leak in the skylights Thanks Again for sharing your property.

Pineapple house better than listing photos suggest
We needed a place between Ct and Ohio for our family to get together for a weekend. The house was clean and comfortable and spacious. The location was awesome. We knew nothing about Eagles Mere before we arrived. We were pleasantly surprised by the history and quaintness of the town and the spectacular hiking just minutes away. We would come back.
We had a wonderful time at this house. The place is amazing, house has a lot of space and charm. The host are very nice, always answered very quickly. Hope to be there at summer time too!
The property was clean and provided everything needed for us to have a fun, care free family vacation (fully furnished kitchen, games, great location, beautiful outdoors). The owners were very kind and responsive.
The house was perfect for a mini-retreat away from city life. We used it as a launching pad for picturesque hikes in Worlds End state park and Ricketts Glen. The backyard fire pit was ideal for relaxing and making s’mores after dragging three young kids on the trails. Deer grazing out back every morning was a highlight as well.

From the moment we checked we felt welcomed and comfortable. The house is immaculate and extremely well maintained.
The linens are in excellent condition and the beds are extremely comfortable. We spent a lot of time on the wonderful spacious deck, from morning coffee to gorgeous sunsets. We had so much playing games and listening to records. I am so grateful for those great family memories. We were all adults in our group but anyone from children to seniors will have an amazing vacation.
Jean is a wonderful host. We made a last minute request and she was very accommodating. Communication was excellent through the entire stay.
I can’t wait to get back to this wonderful house in beautiful Eagles Mere. I will plan next year’s vacation around this house’s availability

My husband, 2 teenage boys and i rented the pineapple for 5 days and it was great. Very clean and homey, deck is fabulous with great sunset view, bedrooms were airy and comfy. There is a basement area that the adults didn't use as it is fairly separate space, but the kids enjoyed hanging out down there. Constant communication with the property manager who was consistently helpful. Wifi wasn't great but that's anywhere in Eagles Mere. Close bike ride or jog to town and a little further to the lake but we drove. We loved our home away from home!
