This craftsman-style home is truly one of Coeur d'Alene's finest. Built in 1914, it retains an elegance of days past yet is complete with all the comforts of a modern home, not least because its owners have renovated nearly every room over the course of the past 27 years. It has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a gourmet kitchen that features soapstone countertops and a Carrera marble backsplash. It is conveniently located on a tree lined street, just a short walk from downtown in the Garden District, one of Coeur d'Alene historic neighborhoods. Very well-furnished and full of amenities, it has everything you could possibly ask for, from curved flat screen TV to a grand piano, not to mention the spacious yards. It has been a favorite of Ironman competitors for twenty years and is ideal for special occasions. Five day minimum stay. No pets.

Had a great time visiting and staying at this property. It’s in a lovely neighborhood and is a beautiful historic home. The owners live here so they are well stocked with everything you’d need for an extended stay. It’s a fairly close walk to the downtown area and beach locations. We love the park for the kids to play and Sanders beach. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming. Thanks for everything!
Lovely house, amazing owners, quiet neighborhood within walking or biking distance to yoga, restaurants, lake, parks and grocery store. We had everything we needed and more! We will be back!
We had an amazing time staying here. It’s so close to downtown yet the neighborhood is quiet and relaxing. John and Jennifer are so kind and welcoming. They provided us with all the necessities and then some. I can not say enough kind words about them! Really great people and a really great house❤️
Home is just a few blocks to Sherman Ave for dining and shopping. Owner provides 2 cruiser bikes for renter use which was a great surprise. It is the owner's primary residence that they rent out so you truly are getting a house with everything you'll need. Only downside is limited closet space in master bedroom but that was easy to overlook for all of the other benefits that are provided.

Old guys golf and football get together.
Lovely home in beautiful older neighborhood. Very quiet with easy walking to restaurants and other things in downtown. Perfect for our group of 4 seventy year olds, who came from 3 different states for a golf and football game get together. Everything in the home was in pristine order with lots of room, great BBQ and all the additional things that made things simple. Thank you John for prolonging your season for our trip. My wife, by the way, had a great time in Sedona with her 8 high school girl friends. They were in the Jane Russell home.
Came up from SOCAL with the family to compete in the Coeur D'Alene Ironman 70.3
This house was perfect! The owners were there upon our arrival to show us around the house, explain all the small things, point out the local activities, etc. The house was very spacious and very comfortable. Most importantly it was SO CLOSE to downtown and the race (only 0.5 miles to town and 0.8 miles to transition). It was great being to walk back and forth to Ironman village and back before and after the race (and during for my wife to come cheer, go home, come back when I got to transition, repeat, LOL).
The house is minutes from your typical stores (Walmart, Burger king, etc) and easy drives to Whitewater rafting in Spokane, amusement park in Silverwood and other great sites.
I highly recommend this house and am already in talks with the wife to go back next year on a non-race week to just enjoy.
My family and I stayed at this property for 5 nights and had a great time. Host was great and home was well stocked and a fun place to stay. Beds were all very comfy!
We stayed at this Garden District home for the Ironman CDA race. The home was perfect and was nicely furnished and maintained and fully stocked. The owner was very nice and accessible. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we need! She even made us cookies which were delicious. 😁. I highly recommend staying here! It is also a convenient walk to the main downtown area with shops and restaurants and the lake.
This isn’t your average VRBO, this is actually someone’s long time home. Top to bottom, this home has everything we needed for a great stay. We were greeted by the owner upon arrival and given a tour of the home. The decor was thoughtfully hand picked and showed how well traveled the hosts were. The patio turned out to be our favorite afternoon and evening hanging space and had room to entertain. I would highly recommend booking this downtown dream house. You won’t be disappointed!
This house was better than the pictures. The owners, John and Jennifer, met us when we arrived. They showed us around and Jennifer made the most delicious cookies for us. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed for our family of 5 visiting for the Half Ironman. It was convenient to walk or bike to restaurants and the race course. We enjoyed coffee on the front porch and grilled a great meal on our last night in the beautiful back yard. We hated to leave!

Charming, spacious, completely remodeled 2 story house with finished basement and gorgeous backyard.
The owners John and Jennifer are wonderfully hospitable. We arrived to cookies baking in the oven, and they even gave us an impromptu bicycle tour of the town before leaving, to show us beach spots, restaurants, etc. It was very helpful and thoughtful! The whole house was remodeled with beautiful fixtures and appliances but with a charming vintage feel. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful front porch, and the large backyard dining table with a gas grill. Overall it was the perfect house and the perfect hosts!

Beautifully maintained home away from home
Beautiful older home with updated kitchen and bathrooms, front porch for reading and relaxing and absorbing the beauty of the quiet street. Amazing back yard with room to play hide 'n seek, gorgeous flowers.
Enough beds for everyone and plenty of bathrooms.
Kitchen had everything we needed and we were able to grill out every night.
The homeowners? Like family - warm, welcoming, inviting, go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and enjoy your stay.
We can't thank them enough for allowing us to spend a week in their home. #blessings
