About this property

Pool and Hot Tub Over Malua Bay

This property is the ultimate in South Coast living. Located cliff top, south of Malua Bay, showcasing ocean views from each living area of the home and from the master bedroom. Keep an eye out for whales playing in the bay or migrating past.

Enjoy the solar heated swimming pool and secluded hot tub in the backyard, taking in the amazing views. Deck chairs are available for lounging by the pool or undercover in the shade for reading. The outdoor shower is both hot or cold. There is a large outdoor heated deck, with retractable shade cover perfect for alfresco dining and entertaining.

The property has reverse cycle air conditioning in all rooms, large TV, Netfilx, free
Wi-Fi, boardgames, multiple work from home spaces, fully equipped chef’s kitchen, Gas BBQ and outdoor firepit.

If you have an electric vehicle, a 7 kW type 2 EV charger is available for use in the carport port, along with a standard GPO outlet.

Dogs are welcome to stay, with the property being full fenced. Water and feeding bowls are available for use. Please bring their favourite dog bed.

The main bedroom is set on ground level with a Queen Size bed, walk in robe, and ensuite. Upstairs are two guest bedrooms. One room with a Queen Size bed and the other room with a Tri-Bunk (double + single and one bunk (two singles). The main bathroom downstairs includes a shower and bath / spa.

A short stroll from the house are the following beaches. Pretty Point Beach is a 24hr dog-friendly, off-leash beach. It has a new bush walking track out to Pretty Point lookout and is perfect for snorkelling. Malua Bay Beach is fully patrolled during summer, with new children’s outdoor play equipment. McKenzies Beach is great for swimming and a popular beach amongst surfers.

Malua Bay Club, Raymond’s Chinese, butcher, and IGA/bottle store, are within walking distance of the property.

Pillows, Doonas, and Blankets are provided.

This property is one of our all time favourite holiday stays! The location is amazing, the view was so beautiful to wake up to every morning, having a swim in the pool, short walk to the beach and finishing the evening in the hot tub. The home itself had everything we needed, although you do need to provide some of your own linens but this was not an issue for us. The yard is fenced and great for dogs with easy access to the Munjip trail. The home was super clean and such a relaxing trip. Would highly recommend staying here!

Pool & hot tub over Malua Bay review

We absolutely loved our stay at this home at Malua Bay! The clifftop views were stunning and having a pool & hot tub that overlooked the ocean was blissful! There was also a fire pit below the pool perfect for toasting marshmallows.The house was well set up with extras like a Nespresso machine, clothes dryer and a smart tv.

The location of the property was amazing, the house was amazing except it’s in need of a deep clean

View was second to none, property was in a perfect location except it really needed a deep clean, so much dust and hair and god knows everywhere, the window of upstairs bedroom was cracked open with no way to close it due to ceiling height, and all night a hauling wind noise kept me awake. Unfortunately I would not stay here again, mainly due to the uncleanliness. (It requires more than an end of holiday clean).

Nice getaway

The view of this property is amazing. Even though we encountered bad weather for a good portion of our stay, it was still so nice to look out over the water. Easy to walk to neighbouring beaches (albeit hilly) on either side of the property (the one directly in front is a cliff face). We travelled with our young family. Unfortunately this house isn’t the most child friendly for small children - especially if you’ve got a crawler/toddler. Very steep staircase to the 2nd and 3rd bedroom and lots of split levels. We also travelled with our fur baby. Yard is secure and great if you have a beach loving four legged friend. Would have liked a little more luxury in terms of furniture/fit out for what we paid but all in all it was a great trip at a lovely location.

Nothing but positives for this place. Great to just unwind and relax by the pool or hang out and watch tv with the family. Definitely looking at rebooking this place in the near future. Has everything you need and in close proximity to beaches, walking trails, kids playgrounds and shops.

Humpback highway

The views and location are what makes it. Lovely spot. I saw a lot of reviews picking up on some small petty stuff, but at the end of the day you’re paying for those views. So if you like to sit back relax and watch the humpback highway in a comfortable environment then book the place.

Great views and lovely house Main bedroom has a beautiful view of the ocean with waves crashing over distant rocks House is comfortable and has good amenities. There was a pool and spa, but we didn't use them

The property was nice loved to view, but was not clean at all and pool was not heated

When I arrived I had to clean the property and pool was not heated like I was told it was and the only nice part about the trip was the views. I even took photos of all the things wrong and sent them to realestate, and all they said is would I like a cleaner to come why I was there I found that so wrong should have been done, not once did they say you could stay an extra night or offer some money back .

Lovely views

Great views . Property has sunken kitchen and lounge areas , which caused a few trips , as the tiles are all one colour , even the pantry is a step up from the kitchen floor. No bathroom or toilet upstairs . Could not use the spa as the hibiscus tree has grown over it . Loose power points , ensuite shower door unable to close and has caused mushrooms to grow out of the door frame. Needs a good spring clean, air cons dusty and mouldy , spiders and webs on the ceilings in bedrooms. Have to drive to the beach , as it’s too hilly to walk .

Perfect spot to relax

We hired the property for the family to get away for the weekend and celebrate a birthday. The kids loved the pool. The heaters on the deck made it possible for us to sit outside and relax later. The view from the deck is amazing. Highly recommend.

We couldn't have asked for more! Gorgeous views, a warm, clean swimming pool, stylishly decorated. It was decked out with everything we could have wanted, Nextflix, prime, wifi. Games. A well equipped kitchen with high end appliances. Pool toys. And, contrary to some other reviews, it was immaculately clean. We loved the retractable awning as it meant we could sit on the deck without getting burnt. The kitchen has some basics like olive oil, salt, sauces etc so no need to pack those. It now has instructions from the owner re how to work things. My only request is screens on some of the windows so we could leave the windows open at night to hear the waves. We are looking forward to going back!

Pool with a view

We did not receive a key to the pool gate but that was supplied by Gary as soon as we rang. Would have been good to get a welcome folder explaining the running of the house - garbage collection day etc, but we survived. Very nice house with a sensational view. Great area and very quiet. I would recommend to older families and couples looking for an escape. Number of stairs and different levels in the house make it a bit harder for young children.

Property was very nice and beautiful location. The only concern is outside maintenance with gates and wood deteriorated and lots of tree litter all over the property. Given the premium price and location this needs attention. Also spa Is not available or doesn’t work so remove it from advertising

Enjoyable and relaxing

We had a relaxing stay at this house. The house was well-equipped. The owner had even provided some board games and card games which was lovely. We could not use the pool as it was not heated. One downside was that if another tap in the house was open the water in the shower was cold.

Superb view

Nothing can beat this amazing view. Lazy-ing in the pool, sipping on a G&T with that view is absolute bliss. Great location to surrounding beaches. Listing shows a HotTub/Jacuzzi. This is NOT operational which was a big disappointment. Pest spray needed (quite a few spiders and ants) as well as a clean of outdoor areas. But all in all, a thumbs up!
