Sun and Sea Apartment offers lovely self-catering accommodation on a beautiful property in Green Point, which is conveniently close to various shops, bars and restaurants, and is a short drive from Table Mountain, the V&A Waterfront, Sea Point Promenade and its many beaches, Long Street and the stunning Green Point Park.

Part of a bigger villa, this apartment offers two bedrooms and a lounge area that doubles up as a third bedroom, with your own separate entrance, a light-use kitchenette and a little garden. The apartment ideally sleeps 4 but can sleep 6 people when the lounge futons are converted into beds. The one bedroom and the lounge is in one section and the other bedroom is down your garden strip, about 15-20 meters long. It is important to note that the entrance to the apartment is located mid-way through a flight of public stairs running alongside the overall villa.

One dedicated, secured parking is available for the guests in the Apartment for one mid-size sedan vehicle, or alternatively there is plenty of on-street parking. At the level of the main villa a short flight of stairs up but available for use by guests staying in the Apartment are a swimming pool, a braai area and a large garden with amazing ocean views.

Please note that the sea views are from the deck of the villa and there are no sea views from the Apartment.

A fantastic, memorable stay, hosted by an openhearted, loving family

We had the most fantastic time at Gautami's place in Cape Town. Gautami and her family made us feel very welcome. We went over to their part of the house for a chat and they were not shy in opening up some of their nicest wine for the evening. Their house is amazing and just as they have named it, it is indeed a whole lot of sun if you spend time in the garden and the swimming pool and has some awesome sweeping sea views. The 2 bedrooms I had booked are cleverly separable from the rest of the hous and have their own separate entrance and its own secure parking which is a real luxury. The 3 bedrooms can be great for 3 couples but also, like in our case, great for a couple and kids. The bathroom is sparkling clean and has a really hot shower. The place is fully equipped and self-sufficient for a nice stay and opens up to a pretty little garden which has a cute seating arrangement for coffee. We LOVED the log cabin down the little garden. There is a useful little desk in one of the rooms and the internet is surprisingly fast. The location is stunning, high on a hill yet a close walk to shops and cafes and the beautiful green point garden and a long promenade walk by the sea. We wish we could stay here longer but we hope to come back. Highly recommended!

Why they chose this property

It's at Ocean View Drive which, as the name suggests, is all about views of the Atlantic, only interrupted by Robben Island in the distance. Even so, it's smack bang in town, a 5-7-minute walk to all the Green Point shops and restaurants and a 5-7-minute drive from V&A Waterfront and a 10-12-minute drive to the stunning white beaches at Camps Bay.
Also, it is situated smack bang in the middle of the party districts at Long Street and Sea Point. This home has five bed rooms and four bathrooms (out of which three en-suite) and two additional people can sleep on floor mattresses in the lounge areas. Our home has two sitting areas - one with a little swing next to a real fireplace and another around the TV. Our favourite part is the area outside which has a pool, a sun deck, patio and a little garden. There are fabulous views of the ocean from most parts of our home. It has one dedicated and secure parking garage.
