About this property

Beautiful Old World Adelaide Hills Lodge

Please read this description carefully before booking. The base rate for our stunning place includes 2 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. Please refer to the "Rooms & Spaces" tab for the configuration by bedroom. Each additional bedroom can be booked as you need them. A booking for 6 guests provides 3 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. A booking for 8 guests provides all 4 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. Please do not book for 5 or 7 guests as each bedroom sleeps 2 guests and is charged as such. This saves you paying for all 4 bedrooms when you may only need 2 or 3. Please note, we do not provide single beds or single room rates. Those bedrooms not booked remain locked.

We do not charge a cleaning fee, most places do, so please keep this in mind when adding up your total cost.

As featured in the 2023 SA Life Magazine - Best of South Australia Annual. This former Federation country house, built in 1901 sits within its own pocket of manicured country gardens on a working equestrian farm. It is surrounded by some of the most stunning views of the Adelaide Hills.

Only 35 minutes' drive from Adelaide's CBD, relax and unwind in its Edwardian styled charm or use it as a base to explore. Many local attractions may be found nearby, including fantastic cellar doors, craft breweries & distilleries, eateries, fruit picking and markets, golf and hiking, as well as lots of family activities and quaint Hills villages. For wine lovers we are only 20 minutes scenic drive to the Barossa Valley and on the northern route to Eden Valley. We are also close to many local wedding venues including Inglewood Inn, Al-Ru Farm and Glen Ewin Estate.

You will have exclusive use of the lodge during your stay. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with shower, reverse cycle air conditioning, dual electric blankets and up to 2 additional children's trundle beds may be hired for an additional fee. Please refer to the listing for bed configurations by room, please note all beds are king, queen or double size (no singles).

We have created a special kind of environment for our guests. The air-conditioned Edwardian drawing room with heritage fireplaces welcomes you. Enjoy uninterrupted views of The Adelaide Hills and Millbrook Reservoir Reserve from our semi-enclosed veranda, lawns and gazebo. Kangaroos, koalas and emus can often be seen in their natural habitat.

A very spacious kitchen is provided with Nespresso machine, gas appliances, microwave, dishwasher & an enormous fridge.

Perfect for retreats and/or offsite workshops where all guests are staying onsite.

Outstanding catering is available on request (external catering is not permitted).

The building has reverse cycle air conditioning (heating and cooling) throughout.

About the host

Host profile image
Having lived away interstate and abroad for many years I have recently returned home to Adelaide. While this is my first HomeAway listing as a host, I was raised in a family running hospitality businesses so I understand the importance of personalised customer service and I hope to make your stay a memorable one. I am also a committee member of the local tourism association so I am happy to share any advice about our beautiful area, if you need it.
My favourite travel destinations would be Argentina, Noosa, New York and anywhere in France.

Why they chose this property

This was our original family home that was renovated to become a premium accommodation venue.

What makes this property unique

Kangaroos, koalas, emus and deer can often be seen in their natural habitat as we border the Millbrook Reservoir Reserve.
