About this property

Our beautiful lodge is located in Schroon lake which is a lovely small community packed with adventures nestled between Lake George and Lake Placid. This is a 4 Season House with a year round hot tub! Additional bonus tiny cabin nestled in the backyard with electricity, queen bed and smart tv. Great little getaway for the kiddos who want to feel like they're camping out or a great place to get away from everyone. Open all year around. The house is perfectly outfitted with everything you need for a cozy stay. Plenty of linens, beach towels, pillows, blankets. blackout shades in every room, kitchen stocked with dishes, pots and pans, slow cooker and everything you need to cook and entertain. Soak in the hot tub under the stars all year around. Enjoy the pot stove in the first floor living room. Second living space in the great room upstairs which is perfect for giving everyone their own space. We also have a game room with pool table and ping pong table to bring everyone together for some fun competition.
Schroon offers everything you want and nothing you don't! In the summer Schroon has a clean and swimmable Lake with a wonderful little beach and marina to rent pontoons and speed boats with tubing! Everything in Schroon is just a little easier than anywhere else. No lines, no fees to park at the beach. Just friendly mountain air!
Schroon lake has a lovely town with several amazing restaurants, nightlife, nightly live music, weekly craft fairs, good coffee shops, biking, hiking, a 9 hole golf course right in town. Stay in Schroon or venture on a day trip to Lake Placid where you can stop and hike, swim and sight see the beautiful ADK mountains and the peak of Mount Marci. Or take a day to Lake George and parasail, eat on the water, go for a fireworks cruise.
In the winter, bring your BIG TOYS! Our 5 acre house is literally located on the snowmobile trail and goes for miles and miles. In the summer, you can ATV and dirt bike. In the winter you can snowmobile right out of our driveway. Gore mountain is 15 miles away and Whiteface mountain is 35 miles away. Schroon lake is known for its Winter Carnivals and this town stays alive all winter long. If you're a hiker, come in the fall. Sight see all the beautiful ADK colors and wildlife on thousands of miles of hiking and kayaking trails.
Our rental comes with a two seater kayak. House has fishing poles, beach chairs, bikes and toys to use at your disposal. We can’t wait for your family to start making memories here!

Lovely stay for the eclipse.

It's a beautiful place, plenty of activities to do around the house and downtown Schroon Lake has plenty of amenities too. We caught the eclipse in the back yard and had a spectacular time the whole weekend. The host was responsive when we had questions and was proactive in getting us the information we needed ahead of time.

Great Time at the Loose Moose!

Our family sincerely enjoyed our stay at the Loose Moose! We had thirteen people (ages: 5,8,9,12,14,15,17, 44,45,48,49,73, and 74). There was plenty of space and plenty of fun for everyone! We downhill skied at Gore for two days and cross-country skied at Van Hoevenberg one day. We skated, bowled, and hiked! We had great family time at the house! We played board games, billiards, ping-pong, and had a campfire in the backyard! My Dad earned the top Pac-Man score with over 20,000 points, shattering the old record (see if you can top it on the classic standup arcade console in the game room)! The hot tub, couches, chairs, and tables were perfect! The moose and antler decor was well-selected and very creative! This house was excellent for relaxation, fun, and family time! We have stayed in about ten other great Vrbo houses around the country and the Loose Moose is 5 stars for sure!

Great family vacation!

There is lots to do. We ventured out to beach and rented a boat. We had the hot tub, fire pit, lots of games and enjoyed hanging out on the front porch morning, noon and night!

We are a beautifully blended family with 6 boys who love the ADK and all that it has to offer. As the owner of this second home, we are dedicated to creating a clean, comfortable and adventurous stay for you and your family. Bc we know what it is like to raise children, travel with them and entertain, we make our house perfect for an easy vacation! Our kitchen has everything you need to cook. I always make sure there is plenty of clean pillows, bedding, extra blankets and anything you can think of to be comfortable during your stay. As a host, I am always available to you via call or text to help with any questions or arrangements you might need to make sure your stay is perfect.

This property is not only beautiful, comfortable and clean, it has everything you need to make your stay wonderful. The house is perfectly situated in the Adirondack Mountains to either enjoy the town of Schroon or nearby towns like Lake George and Lake Placid for an easy day trip. Our house has 4 bedrooms with multiple sleeping arrangements using bunk beds. We have two living room spaces making it comfortable for everyone to have their space when needed. We are now introducing our adorable TINY CABIN that we just built nestled in the back yard with cozy furniture, queen bed and electricity. Yours to use during your stay and open all year around.

Nestled in the woods away from the town and neighbors, our lodge is a wonderful place to host, have fun, play music and hot tub in total seclusion and privacy. Located only a mile from town and the town beach, it's also easy to spend the day, swim, ski, have fun and come back to your private getaway. With two living rooms, its a perfect house to make sure everyone has their own space. We also include a bonus mini cabin that has a queen bed, smart tv and electricity for anyone who wants to getaway from the rest of the party. The tiny cabin is located in the backyard by the fire pit.
