We were in town with our family and another family stayed with us a well. The location was perfect for walking to campus and showing our kids everything we loved about UGA and the town of Athens!
It is such an amazing house with lots of personality. We especially loved all of the TVs so we were able to watch every game on simultaneously. The porch and yard are perfect for Athens's great weather. We even had a visit by a Mama Deer and a doe. We will definitely return.
Super fun place lots of room
Perfect location everything was super easy and totally fun
Large house and we had a blast at our daughters graduation

UGA Workshop stay
Great place as a party house. Worked fine for us. Communication was a little spotty with host, but we also did check in the day ATT was out of service.
Communication was very poor. We never received a confirmation email. Check in was difficult without the code. Didn’t get Wi-Fi info until Saturday night. Political signs at a place to rent is inappropriate. Parking was very difficult and we had to keep moving our cars so the caretaker who lives on site could leave
We were in need a place for our school group in Athens for the weekend. We needed a way to split the guys and girls and give each their own space. The house was really almost perfect - with one small exception. We really needed 2 bathrooms for each group but one of the baths is actually in the twin bedroom - meaning it's in the open area. So, there's really only 3 baths. Other than that the house had everything. Clean! organized! Fun! The students loved it.
We know this area of town well and find it great for walking for exercise and to downtown/campus. We were in town for a family wedding and had a toddler plus 30 something children and two grandparents at the house. The house is historic and spacious. It is decorated in a college bulldog theme of game day and kind of man cave (note photos). Everything worked correctly. The on site caretaker was polite in passing. There is room for roughly 4 cars parked double in the driveway as we all brought a car. There are plenty of towels and kitchen glasses/plates. Nothing fancy about this house, but a fun place to gather with a back yard that could be fun for children. Our toddler grandson enjoyed swing on front porch watching pedestrians and cars go by.
This house was perfect to house the bridal party in! Enough room for all! Thank you so much

Great house for large group, but needs a deep cleaning
The Dawg House has such wonderful UGA vibes, sleeps many and is a great space. It is such a great location, close to the stadium and was perfect for our daughters graduation with our extended family!
On the down side, the house is very dirty!! Cobwebs, dirty baseboards, dusty floors, under bed dead (and alive) cockroaches and other bugs.
We had our grandchildren with us and could not let the 8 month olds crawl on the floors!!
The kitchen and bathrooms were clean except for under the tub, sinks, hampers and corners. Towels and sheets seemed clean, but bedskirts were heavily dusty.
Well equipped, but also needs someone to clean out/organize cupboards and cabinets. It is obvious that groups leave a lot of "stuff/memorobilia" that should probably be gotten rid of or at least organized.
I feel very strongly that if the house receives a VERY good, professional deep cleaning and that cleaning is kept up with we could give the rental a higher rating.
If I were a prospective renter and dirty spaces bother you, I would definitely check to see if this cleaning has occurred before renting this house. it has such potential!!!

Great property! Plenty of room for families!
This house was perfect for my family's trip tp Athens! There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms so that we didn't feel cramped or on top of each other. It was clean and outside was well-maintained. We loved the outside porch overlooking Georgia's stadium! We ate dinner out there every night. The owner of the house was great to work with. I can't wait to go back and visit the area and explore more of the town.

The property location was perfect ...
I was very surprised at a lot of things I found uninviting. It truly needs a better cleaning service, the kitchen had roaches on the counter so we had to keep the food in plastic bags at all times. The refrigerator door handle broken and dirty inside with a other peoples food. Also all the bathrooms had other visitors toiletries still there. One additional surprise was the twin bedroom with a open bathroom inside the same room!
Yes it is Historic but one can make it a more inviting rental. To many things not right with this property. It is more like a Frat House then a family weekend rental.

IT Could Be Very Nice HOUSE, BUT!
The house generally is a great meeting place but the house does have some problems that need to be addressed. Three of the bedroom doors do not close sufficiently to give you privacy. One is almost falling off its hinges. One of the bedrooms has a bathroom where the sink is out of order and it appears to have been this way for quite a while. So you can shower and use the toilet but must use the main bathroom down at the other end of the house for brushing your teeth, etc. . Another room has a bathroom in the room with no privacy. It is actually in the bedroom with no walls or doors. So you have a 5 bedroom house but three bedrooms are actually using one bathroom. There are two sofa beds but no sheets ,blankets or pillows are provided. There were some extra comforters in a wardrobe but they were very dirty.
This house is for college students not for adults or seniors. The property is not properly disclosed.. If the owners would fix the doors, fix the sink , provide bedding for the sofa beds, provide clean comforters and state it is 5 bedrooms with 2 private baths, one open bathroom in a bedroom and a shared bathroom for 4 to 6 to use, it would let renters know what they are in for.
So I am doing it for them until someone writes a review to let us know differently!!
Last. but not least disturbing was the entrance of strangers at 2:30AM.!!
I was sleeping on one of the sofa beds(with sheets I had to go out and buy) when I heard someone unlock the back door and come in and turn on the kitchen light. Lucky for them I do not own gun. I watched as the two, a man and a woman of undeterminable age whispered. I sat up and the man who's face I could not see, said "Are you renting here? Are any of the rooms empty? I told him yes and no. He said I am the owners brother, sorry to bother you and said we are leaving". I sat there in amazement. Most people would have panicked or called the police.
It took the owner 2 days to call me back and apologize. She said they were family who had keys but should not have come in. She said she would compensate me for this which she did not.
I did not sleep that night.
So in wrapping this review up, beside all the repairs needed , you might have unexpected visitors at all hours.
My recommendation is to skip this rental unless you are desperate and do no shoot any late night visitors, they are drunks looking for a bed. Scary!!!

Clean, older home right on UGa campus
House is just as pictured in photos. Plenty of UGa spirit. Great location right on UGa campus and close to everything Athens has to offer. Older property but well maintained and very clean and comfortable. Would have given 5 stars except kitchen lacked some basic utensils making dinner preparation more difficult. We certainly enjoyed the bar area to watch sports and eat. Would definitely stay there again.

Enjoyed our stay
The house is full of UGa spirit. Great location right on campus. The house was clean with plenty of comfortable beds and a great bar area that we enjoyed using for dinner and watching sports on TV. Would have given 5 stars except the kitchen lacked a few basic items that are needed for meal preparation. Would definitely stay there again.

A fun group/family vacation home
Nicole Johns provided excellent communication as we prepared for this visit. The house had plenty of room for a large group of people. It would be helpful to have a layout of the home because we had expected the house to be 2 stories and it was only 1. The sleeper sofas are numerous but best left to kids since they are lacking privacy. The kitchen was well stocked with dishware and pans and we had plenty of space for our food storage during our stay. The location is very convenient. The house was in need of a little sprucing up but in no way impacted our enjoyment during our stay.

Great house for a larger group --- can't beat the location just on the edge of campus.
A large group of us stayed here for a long golf weekend, and Edward's Dawghouse suited our needs perfectly. There were enough individual beds for seven of us and plenty of couch/pull out beds for more. Being right on the edge of campus (just across the street from the dorms) was perfect. We weren't far from the UGA golf course and close enough to downtown and restaurants to walk if needed -- just beware of the Pokemon Go zombies walking around campus at night.
This rental is new to the market, and there were some issues with upkeep that I've addressed with the property manager, but she assured me the would be resolved. I'm convinced of her commitment, and I intend on renting this property again in the future. Again, it's a great place in a great location; you'll love the view of Sanford Stadium from the back porch.

Lots of great memories that both moms and our daughter gymnasts made during our week at camp.
The house accommodated a large crowd and we were able to take advantage of the large kitchen, laundry room and many bedrooms. Definitely a party house and the moms has lots of fun telling stories out on the deck while the girls gathered in the bar with their sodas and stories. Beautiful area for walking and in walking distance of the college. We were 5 minutes from gymnastic camp. We also walked one morning to memorial park. We went hiking and tubing in Helen and a wine tour on another day. Owner was very accessible.
