Cottage was very clean and well stocked. Lovely to be right on family friendly bike trails. Owner was easy to contact and communicate with. We enjoyed the stay. Only downside was that the water area off the cottage was quite rocky, which was stated in the description of the cottage when we booked.
Cottage was spacious with lots of room to spread out. View of the lake was fabulous. We stayed for 3 weeks in March and this March was a beast so the wood burning fireplace was an appreciated treat. The host was responsive. We plan to return in the future.
It was a great stay on Huron, close to Kincardine, but feels secluded. Fantastic sunsets. Cottage well equipped for a family vacation. Owner very responsive.
I had a wonderful stay at this secluded lakeside cabin. It looked just like the pictures and provided the perfect setting for a relaxing weekend. The view was amazing, and I had an incredible time. Highly recommended!
Great big-sky view over the lake. Gorgeous. A small but private beach was perfect for coffee in the morning and a G&T at night. Thanks so much Pete for everything.
A nice vacation home that has a private beach of Lake Huron
The vacation is nice and has all essentials needed. It has a private beach and a nice view of the lake. It’s close to a small town where you can find groceries etc. very conveniently. Overall a nice stay.
Host was excellent in communicating. Everything you need at the cottage, close to golf, hiking,,, sure wish we would have brought our bikes! Weather was rainy, but even a rain day was wonderful
Our stay was lovely. We were looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway and it was. The property is spacious and well kept. The cottage was clean and very comfortable with everything we needed. Beautiful sunsets! Our host Peter was very responsive to any questions we had. We would love to return.
Great location and very nice cottage. Lots of space and has everything you need. Amazing sunsets and the fire pit was wonderful. Great spot to watch the stars at night. Was warm inside with no AC but the fans helped. Bring water shoes for the water as there are rocks in the lake. Recommend to those looking for time away to relax and spend time with family and friends.
This place is a hidden jewel. Nestled between other cottages, on a treed lot with an amazing view and unrestricted access to the water. Comfy and cozy with a fully stocked kitchen,washer/dryer, comfortable surroundings. Lots of wildlife and even morning visits at the waters edge from a beautiful bald eagle. If you are looking for a beautiful place, from a fantastic host, right on lake huron, this is your place. We look forward to coming back very soon!
We spent a couple of days at this lovely cottage on the lake. Everything was good; it's a nice, quiet, relaxing natural area with lots of wildlife. Great for sitting out by the lake, but not the best for swimming as there are stones leading to the water. But there's a good beach within a short walking distance. The host was good to respond to questions. The only thing we would suggest to improve our stay would be a basic information sheet about the place, ie. keys/television access/fireplace use, etc. and a map of the immediate area. A great retreat if you're looking for a break. We would love to return for a longer stay.
We had a nice time staying at Pete’s place in August 2021. The cottage had everything we needed, and was brighter and roomier than in the pictures.
The bedrooms aren’t huge, but they were fine. The queen bed was pretty squeaky, but if we weren’t sharing the room with a light-sleeper toddler this would have been less of an issue.
The beach was nice but the water in front of the cottage was too yucky to put our feet in. The beach down the road was much nicer and we had a lot of fun playing in the waves. Our kids loved making a fire in the fire pit most nights.

Hi Lindsay,
Glad you enjoyed the stay. I’ll look at the bed, perhaps the connections are loose.
The muck was annoying, but the good news it was all swept away by a storm shortly after your stay. Thanks
Was a nice private lot, quiet area, great for bike rides, and direct access to our own beach area, which was very nice! The lake in this area is hard to get into with many large stones and rocks. Water shoes are a must. House was a bit more rough around the edges than I had the impression of it being. Some windows didn’t quite close properly. No shelving or dressers in the bedrooms, so had to live out of our bags on the floors. Thought a simple upgrade could be some small shelves or dressers in bedrooms.
Overall a nice spot, we had the impression it was a bit classier than it was.
