Good communication with owner, lovely house plenty of room for 8 of us, both adults and children. If I am really picky it could do with a little TLC but with 2 dogs I felt more comfortable than if it had been a show home so it was perfect for us
We had a great few days here. Cannot fault the property. More than enough space for 4 adults and 4 kids. There was nice walking from the house and a lovely pub across the road.
Lovely property in the perfect location to explore north Cornwall.
Shorts drive to Newquay and Padstow amongst others.
Saskia’s communication was brilliant and really put us at ease when booking during lockdown and bent over backwards to help with the booking.
I will definitely book again!

It was okay
We were a party of three adults in a house that was supposed to be for 10 people. Due to some issues at the house, had we been a larger party, we would not have been able to stay.
We had a great stay , The house was perfectly situated for us and so well equipped . I cooked a roast for all the guests plus some family who came to visit ! I did feel it could have done with a downstairs toilet as we had my parents who struggled a bit up and down and the only thing that would stop me booking again is the having to bring our own bed linen and towels or pay an extra 90.00 on top of the rental price . I have stayed in many places since the pandemic and have never come across this before But we really enjoyed our stay . Thank you

Good base for North Cornwall.
Stayed with my family and parents. Good base for visiting North Cornwall. House was nice, spacious and clean. Could do with a new sofa, very uncomfortable.
Only draw back was extra hefty cost of £90 extra for bedlinen that was not obviously clear on listing. Only found out about this charge a week before going. Had not budgeted for the additional cost so brought all our own linen and towels, now have a mountain of washing to do.
The property is nice if a little tired. Needs some TLC. The location for visiting North Cornwall is very good. Not suitable for people who want to go for walks from the property, as it is on a busy main road and there are no pavements or grass verges. Could do with a downstairs WC [which at sometime in the past has been removed]. The lights in the sun room did not work.
Large efficient accommodation, peaceful sleeping, evenings in the pub across the road. Kitchen equipped for catering large families, dish washer and washing machine brilliant, country roads small and tight but not a lot of traffic . tintagel 15 mins away , parking good. Lovely place to stay.
Very good accommodation perfectly suited our group of 10, we were a mixture of 5 adults and 5 young teens, 12yrs to 15yrs. only criticism is there was only 5 table knives, it was a case of passing the knives around at meal times!! All added to holiday. Comfortable beds with well laundered bedding and towels, and plenty of chairs over the two sitting areas.
Everything about our stay could not have been better. The house itself is lovely. The rooms are all nicely furnished, the kitchen well stocked, and the beds very comfortable. The enclosed patio is an extra treat.
The owner is gracious and always responds quickly to all communications.
The pub just across the street has great food and a great atmosphere.
It was so nice to come back to such pleasant surroundings after a day of sightseeing.
Very comfortable accommodation. We used it as a base to stay at whilst playing local golf courses. Pub one minute walk across the road good for dinner.
This is a lovely property, it’s even nicer than in the pictures. Getting the key was easy and all the facility’s were great, everything you need and more! We all had a lovely time and would stay again if we are traveling to the area in the future.
We really enjoyed our stay - Great location, lovely spacious bright house with nice enclosed garden perfect for our dog - just needs new bedding and a kitchen sort out would then be perfect 🤩
The house was really well appointed and housed 2 families sharing for the week. We spent most of our days body boarding at Polzeath (10 minute drive away) which suited all the age ranges in our party. The Cornish Arms Inn opposite does traditional pub food and is packed every night so would highly recommend booking.
10 of us stayed here in 2021, 4 adults and 6 children. we struggle to find affordable accommodation for all of us and this was perfect. plenty of room inside and outside. We used the outside space for BBQ, drying clothes, cleaning wetsuits etc. we drove to a new beach each day but of course you could just drive to a near by one which is 10mins drive. No beach within walking distance with beach equipment. SPAR just up the road (3miles) with has most things and also a chip shop which was good.

Brilliant location for beaches
This property is a great location for Polzeath beach and others. What let the property down was the state of the pillows and duvets, i took my own linen and pillows and duvets which i was pleased i did.

About the host
Hosted by Saskia Jones-Perrott
Saskia lives with her husband Richard and 2 children in mid Wales. She is a doctor working in Shrewsbury. Saskia and her brother and 2 sisters have enjoyed holidays on the North Cornwall coast all their lives and now have 11 children between them who also all enjoy sailing and waterskiing in Rock, surfing in Polzeath, playing golf and generally having fun as their parents and grandparents did (and still do!) before them!
Why they chose this property
We 'moved house' in the area a few years ago, having outgrown our previous property due to the large number of children!! Tregirls is close to everything. Easy to access, but out of the hectic atmosphere of, Port Isaac or Rock. We love returning after a hectic day of sailing, surfing and crabbing to enjoy an evening 'at home' or wander across to the Cornish Arms for a pint or bite to eat. It is also close to the St Kew Inn with a lovely Beer garden and great food and Chapel Amble with another great pub and swimming and play area at The Olde House. These are all favourites.
What makes this property unique
Children will love staying at Tregirls as they have their own special room with toys and games enjoyed by our children. The garden has outside lighting for that Mediterranean feeling!
