Great family vacation location

We spend two wonderful and relaxing weeks in Alison & Nicks great house. Plenty of space inside and outside! We have been there with 7 adults. Highly enjoyed the pool area and the outside kitchen facilities (BBQ/grill). House and kitchen are well equipped, no problem to cook for larger groups/family. Garden is big enough for family games, plenty of them are available. Nick was very helpful with tips for day trips and always contactable via email to answer any questions. You can feel how much he loves the place himself. Baredine is a small village with only a very few inhabitants and a couple of vacation homes. It’s very quiet. Amazing sunsets around the corner! And an olive oil mill just across the street. The owner gives tours in German and Italian.

Great (if not the best) house to spend your vacation with friends and family!

The house and property are very well equipped, carefully looked after and offer almost everything one could wish for in a vacational, relaxing stay. We thought the real thing looked even better than the photos, the kitchen is so well equipped and there ist a great patio with a grill. We never even felt like eating out because staying in and cooking/barbecueing was so easy and satisfying in this house. There is plenty of space and different areas within the property which makes it easy to stay there with a mixed group of people. The host was super easy to get a hold of and very accomodating and helpful. You do need a car to stay in this area but the next supermarket and most important shops are a 8 minutes drive away; it takes about 20 minutes to get to the nearest spot by the sea. There is a charming old village close by that's worth a visit (Grosnjan). If we get the opportunity we will definitely be coming back, we loved it!

Ein Tolles Haus mit allem was man braucht

Hallo Nick Wir wollten uns nochmals bedanken für den Tollen Urlaub. Das Haus war Weltklasse Es hat an nix gefehlt besonders der Pool hat Kindern sehr sehr viel spaß gemacht Wir können dein Haus nur weiterempfehlen. Die lage war auch super in 30 min am Meer Und innerhalb 1 Stunde konnte man sehr viele Städte besichtigen. Im ganzen eine 10/10 Nochmals Danke

Traumhafter Sommerurlaub

Wir haben in diesem wunderschönen Haus zwei mega entspannte und erholsame Urlaubstage mit 7 Personen verlebt. Es ist alles da, was das Herz begehrt und man zum täglichen Bedarf so alles braucht. Der Pool, der Garten und die Grillsitzecke sind toll und jeder fand auch mal ein Plätzchen für sich allein. Die beiden Kätzchen Mungo und Mary waren für uns zwei süße Wegbegleiter und wurden von uns sehr verwöhnt. Bei Problemen wurde uns umgehend von Nick per WhatsApp geholfen und der Kontakt war sehr herzlich. Fazit: Mehr als nur empfehlenswert und wir kommen mehr als sehr gerne wieder! Herzlichen Dank nochmals an Nick & Alison🙏

Erholsamer Urlaub in sehr wohnlicher Atmosphäre

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in einem vollausgestatteten großen und modernen Haus, was keine Wünsche offen ließ. Man hat alles, was man braucht, einen tollen Pool, Blick, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und zum Meer ist es nie länger als 20 Minuten. Der Vermieter ist jederzeit erreichbar und antwortet binnen kürzester Zeit.

Perfekt

zum zweiten mal waren wir in diesem wunderschönen Haus. Dieses mal auch noch mit den 2 bezaubernden Mitbewohnern Marry und Mongo :-). Tolle Ausstattung, alles supersauber und volle Ausstattung. Allein schon die Kommunikation mit Allyson und Nick macht viel Spaß. Absolute Empfehlung!

Sehr gechillter Urlaub in super Unterkunft

Das Haus ist noch viel schöner, als im inserat beschrieben. Es ist mit allem ausgestattet, was das Herz begehrt. Wir waren zu sechst (zwischen 17 und 51 Jahren) und haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen. Wie schon in anderen Bewertungen beschrieben, ist das Haus so geplant, dass man sich im Haus oder auf dem Grundstück zurückziehen kann, wenn man möchte. Auch andere Ziele in istrien (z.b. Novigrad, Umag) sind problemlos innerhalb von 20 Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Lieber Nick, liebe Alison vielen Dank, dass wir in eurem Traumhaus unseren Urlaub verbringen durften.

Tolles Haus mit allen Annehmlichkeiten

Wir (4 Erw., 4 Kinder) verbrachten diesen Sommer 2022 2 wunderbare Ferienwochen in diesem wunderschönen Haus in Baredine / Buje. Neben 4 Schlafzimmern und 4 Bädern war auch die grosse Küche ein Highlight des Hauses. Die individuell einstellbare Klimaanlage im ganzen Haus war sehr nützlich. Und draussen war natürlich der Pool und die schöne Veranda der Hit. Auch ein Tischtennis Tisch war vorhanden und wurde rege genützt. Mit dem Auto gelangt man in ca. 25 min. ans Meer in Umag oder Savudrija, aber auch die schönen Städte Novigrad oder Porec sind in weniger als 45 min zu erreichen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter Nick war unkompliziert und sehr angenehm. Wir können uns sehr gut vorstellen in Zukunft erneut in dieses schöne Haus zurückzukommen.

Wirklich nicht zu viel versprochen!

Die Bilder beim buchen sind sehr schön und die Wirklichkeit ist es auch. Sehr ruhig und übersichtlich. die ölmühle gegenüber ist nur im Oktober in Betrieb aber paar Flaschen Öl bekommt man wohl immer.

Traum für Mamas mit Kindern

Optimale Unterkunft für Familien und Freunde, die mit Kindern einen entspannten, unabhängigen Badeurlaub verbringen wollen. Tolles Haus, wunderschöner Garten, super Pool, herrliche Lage und supernette Gastgeber. Wir kommen wieder - sehr große Empfehlung!!!

Liebevoll gestaltetes Ferienhaus

Bereits beim ankommen haben wir gemerkt „das ist noch besser als erwartet“. Wirklich liebevoll gestalteter Außenbereich mit allerhand Kräutern Obst und Gemüse an welchem man sich jederzeit bedienen darf, rießiger schöner Pool für groß und klein (10m lang) und Grillplatz mit allen Möglichkeiten (Holz mit Kamin, Holzkohle auf Weber Grill, Gas oder Kontaktgrill) Sehr gut ausgestattete Küche und gemütliches Wohnzimmer mit Kamin falls man doch einmal rein muss. Direkt auf Platz 1 unserer bisherigen Ferienhäuser! ;) Man merkt dass der Vermieter hier selbst gerne Urlaub macht und nicht nur vermietet.

Tolles Haus in guter Lage - perfekt auch für größere Gruppen.

Das Haus befindet sich in ländlicher Umgebung und zum Meer benötigt man ca. 25 Minuten. Das Haus ist toll geschnitten und bietet viel Platz mit ausreichend Rückzugmöglichkeiten wenn man mit größeren Gruppen verreist. Wir waren nur zu dritt und hatten daher mehr als genug Platz. Der Pool ist sehr groß und lädt zum ausgiebigen schwimmen und toben ein. Er beinhaltet Salzwasser aber in einer angenehmen Konzentration. Im Außenbereich befinden sich mehrere Sitz und Liegemöglichkeiten und eine schöne Laube mit Außengrill. Vom Außenbereich hat man einen Fernblick ins Grüne und vom hinteren Balkon sogar Meerblick. Die Küche ist ebenfalls ausreichend groß und beinhaltet alles was man benötigt. In der direkten Umgebung befindet sich die Olivenpresse Argo-Millo sowie ein paar weitere Ferienhäuser. Der nette Kontakt mit Nick war sehr unkompliziert. Wir haben recht spontan gebucht (1 Tag vor Anreise) was aber gar kein Problem darstellte. Das Interieur wie Armaturen und die Möbel sind teilweise etwas abgewohnt und eine Erneuerung von Sofa und Küchenausstattung würde dem tollen Haus sicher gut stehen, was einem schönen Urlaub aber keinen Abbruch tut. Wir können das Haus daher auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und vielen Dank an Nick für die Vermietung.

ein perfektes Haus, alles da, geräumig, sauber und schön

Wir waren 4 Erw und 4 Teenager und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in diesem charmanten Haus. Wifi funktioniert auch gut, was wichtig für unsere 4 Teenager war. Es liegt ruhig in einem kleinen Weiler, wo man außer Olivenöl nichts kaufen kann…, also ein Auto braucht man unbedingt, Buje sind 10min Autofahrt (nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit). Zur Küste ca 20min. Der Garten ist schön und gepflegt mit einer sehr gemütlichen Pergola. Großer Pool mit Salzwasser, sehr angenehm. Allerdings war das Wasser etwas frisch, obwohl Poolheizung in Beschreibung stand…, aber vielleicht lag es auch zusammen mit dem Sturm den wir am ersten Tag hatten und sehr abkühlend gewirkt hat… genug Liegen sind vorhanden. Alles zusammen einen wunderschönen Ort zum Chillen, und gemütliches Zusammensitzen und auch gut gelegen für Ausflüge Richtung Küste oder Landesinnere. Auch die Betreuung von Nick über App war einwandfrei.

Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen

Das Haus ist wunderschön. Wir haben die Woche mit unseren Freunden und vier Kindern 8-11 Jahre sehr genossen. Es fehlt an nichts in dem Haus. Es hat sehr viel Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten und eine schöne Laube zum essen. Der gewärmte Pool machte die Woche zu einem tollen Badespass. Danke der netten Familie Coney für die Vermietung.

sehr schönes Haus mit tollem Grundstück

Wir waren zwei Wochen im Juni dort und haben ein sehr stilvolles Haus mit sehr viel Platz vorgefunden. Die einzelnen Bäder bei den Zimmern ermöglichen viel Privatsphäre und sind sehr stilvoll und geräumig. Das Grundstück ist wirklich gross und bietet jedem eine schöne Ecke zum Relaxen. Kinder haben viel Platz zum Spielen und jeder kann sich einen sonnigen oder schattigen Platz suchen. Bei uns lief die Reinigung des Hauses vor Anreise und auch zwischendurch nach der ersten Woche etwas unorganisiert und auch einen Einweisung zu ein paar Details (Klimaanlage, Whirlpool, Müllentsorgung) wäre bei Anreise sinnvoll gewesen. Aber das war wirklich auch das einzige Manko. Der Pool beinhaltet wirklich Salzwasser, das ist allerdings so mild, dass es nicht in den Augen brennt oder ähnliches. Der Pool ist sehr schön, wirklich gross und sehr gepflegt. Nur den Whirlpool haben wir nicht zum Laufen gebracht. Wer gerne selbst kocht, findet prima Bedingungen vor, einkaufen kann man in Buje oder auch in den anderen Städten an der Küste Ohne Auto geht es allerdings überhaupt nicht. Nach Umag oder Novigrad sind es ca. 20-25 min. Unbedingt etwas gegen Schnaken mitnehmen, das ist in der Dämmerung und auch nachts sehr zu empfehlen. In einem Teil der Zimmer gibt es für einen ruhigen Schlaf auch Moskitonetze für die Betten. Danke an Nick für den immer schnellen und sehr freundlichen Kontakt!

Wir haben einen sehr schönen, ruhigen Urlaub in Baredine verbracht.

Das Ferienhaus bietet viel Platz und guten Komfort. Die Ausstattung ist für ein FH auf sehr hohen Stand. Die Anlage ist gepflegt und liebevoll gestaltet. Auch bei schlechteren Wetter kann man es hier gut aushalten. Wir haben uns rundum sehr wohlgefühlt. Bei Fragen konnten wir uns immer an die Besitzer wenden und uns wurde gleich geholfen. Wer, wie wir, gerne seine Ruhe hat und gerne mit dem Auto die Gegend erkundet, hat hier einen idealen Ausgangspunkt. Nicht weit zum Meer, super zum Wandern und Radeln und auch zu den Städtchen zum Bummeln ist es nicht weit. Insgesamt "Sehr empfehlenswert" und "Danke" an die Hausbesitzer!

Wir waren 2 Familien, d. h. 4 Erwachsene und 4 Kinder und hatten mehr als genug Platz. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden und in einer Qualität und Vollständigkeit wie ich sie in einer Ferienwohnung noch nicht erlebt habe. Erstklassich! Der Pool war super. Bei kleineren Problemen wurde versucht diese zeitnah zu beheben. Kontakt zum Vermieter via messenger, prompt und schnell.

Ein wunderbarer Platz zum Ausspannen!

Alle hatten ihren Spass. Unser Freundeskreis im Alter von 14 bis 54 Jahren hat eine sonnendurchflutete Woche genossen, mit jeder Menge Plantschen im grossen Salzwasser-Pool und gemeinsamen Grillen und abendlichen Spielerunden. Die Villa ist bestens klimatisiert und so angelegt dass jeder sein Plätzchen findet um sich auch mal zurückzuziehen. Die Mauern halten den Lärm sehr in Grenzen so dass auch ruhig mal der Fernseher im Wohnzimmer um 2 Uhr Morgens laufen kann ohne die Schlafenden zu stören. Die Anlage ist super sauber und sehr gepflegt. In der voll eingerichtete Küche mit einem feinen Gasherd und Geschirrspüler lässt es sich auch mal gut kochen. Auch der Grillplatz lässt keine Wünsche offen. Kugelgriller sowie eine eine freie Grillstelle und für Gesundheitsbewusste ein Gasgriller sind samt feuerfesten Handschuhen vorhanden. Für den Einkauf braucht es eine kurze Autofahrt von einigen Minuten ins nahe Buje. Da eine grosse Kühl-Gefrierkombination vorhanden ist kann man aber gut auf Vorrat einkaufen. Buje hat auch einige gute Speiselokale in denen man auch leckere Trüffelgerichte bestellen kann. _Tipp: _Wer am Abend gerne im freien sitzt ist gut beraten einen Insekten Schutz von zu Hause mitzubringen. Die Gelsen sind hungrig ;-). Alles in Allem war der Aufenthalt ein Volltreffer den wir gerne noch mal Buchen werden. Eine hundertprozentige Empfehlung von uns.

I am 60 and previously lived in London with my wife and two cats! We first came to Croatia in 2002 and in 2004 I spent six months here, getting to know the country and learning the language. As a consequence, we decided to buy a small house in a fishing village called Funtana on the west coast of Istria, where we have since spent many a happy summer. At the same time as buying the house in Funtana, we also decided to embark on a more ambitious project and purchased a derelict farmhouse in the countryside in a small hamlet called Baredine. We finished renovating the house in 2011 and in 2020 as a consequence of Brexit we decided to move to Croatia full time. We now rent the house out for the months of June, July and August at which point we travel around Croatia and the surrounding countryside before returning to the UK to catch up with friends and family. We have recently acquired two very sweet little additions to the family, the cats Mary and Mungo. They are permanent residents in Croatia and we hope you will enjoy their company during the summer. We would merely ask that you feed and water them during your stay., using the food we provide for them.

Why they chose this property

I more or less stumbled upon Baredine (it wasn't necessarily our "plan" to buy two properties here ..) however, I was drawn to its peaceful location and stunning views and six years later we finally got our planning permission to renovate and convert the farmhouse into a holiday villa. We are really pleased with the result - the house is lovely and light and spacious - and we feel very much at home here. We are both keen cyclists and Istria is great cycling country, providing both hills to challenge any budding "King of the Mountain" as well as flatter coastal paths for the more leisurely cyclist ...
We hope you will love Istria as much as we do, it's a land full of sun, sea and fine food - what more could one wish for!

What makes this property unique

Baredine is ideally located, just 15 km from the coast and also minutes away from the delightful hill-top towns for which Istria is so renowned. It's a very peaceful hamlet but still a working hamlet, with local farmers close by and a small olive oil press next door. Numerous vineyards and olive tree groves surround the village and there are various local wine and olive oil routes you can follow by car. We have also discovered a number of excellent restaurants in neighbouring villages, where the food is locally sourced and more often than not home-grown/reared.
