The fully fitted kitchen has all the modern appliances and equipment that you will need and the large lounge has plenty of seating for 6 with a TV and a DVD player. The inside dining area is lovely but the outside one is even better! The grounds are away from the road and are partially lawned to play on and the rest has been left to nature for the abundant birds and wildlife that have chosen to live here amongst the peace and tranquility. They don't mind sharing with you for a while though and you'll be able to watch them when you're sitting on your patio eating your breakfast in the sun. If you're very lucky, you may even get to see 'Hiboo' our owl. Your private, above ground pool (June to Oct) is approx 4.5m in dia, with a large decked area for dining and sun loungers. Kim and Graham were fantastic hosts they couldn’t have been kinder! The gite was a lovely rustic farmhouse, beautifully clean and well equipped wine in the fridge and cute bedrooms. There were even friendly pigs and a couple of cats to welcome us! Id definitely come back

Our family of four (inc. two children, aged 7 and 4) had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Le Prunier. We didn’t want to leave! Kim and Graeme were great hosts, left some handy local info, and were very helpful and friendly. Our kids particularly loved their two dogs! The house is gorgeous, spacious, private, with everything you might need. Great pool, very child friendly. The surrounding grounds of fruit trees and vineyards make this a really magical setting. We loved spotting wildlife during our stay (a hoopoe bird, deer, and hare!) There’s a wealth of places to visit and things to do, all relatively close by. We loved Bergerac, St Emilion, Montbazillac chateau, and the nearby lake Pombonne was lovely if you want the beach! Great food a short drive (or walkable), plus the most incredible croissants and pain au chocolate in the local bakery at nearby village Gardonne (again walking/cycling/running distance if you’re so inclined!). Fab huge supermarket just 10 mins away. So for us, Le Prunier had everything - the perfect mix of rural, in the middle of nowhere vibes, coupled with all amenities very close by. C’est parfait! We’d go back in a heartbeat.

We loved it........BUT...
Location, weather, amenities and provisions at Le Prunier were excellent! (A huge thank you to Anne for her attentiveness and help-with our eight month old granddaughter-we were provided with a travel cot, high chair and parasol as soon as we had asked for them!) Unfortunately, we had no control over our immediate neighbours for the seven nights we were there, and the noise when outside, bomb-diving into their small "pool", and some of the language/behaviour from the youngest member of our neighbouring family did have us wishing they'd spend more time somewhere else!!
