About this property

Pretty traditional brick and flint dog friendly country cottage 2 miles Blakeney

Bluebell Cottage is a pretty semi-detached quaint village cottage. It even has roses round the door! There is a large garden to the side of the cottage, over a shared drive, and this area also provides plenty of off street parking. Langham is an attractive village with an excellent pub 200 yards down the road from the cottage. Little sister to The Harper Hotel, The Bluebell serves excellent beer, wines and has a good menu. You will be assured of a warm welcome.
Langham is close to the coast; Blakeney and Morston are two miles away, the attractive Georgian town of Holt is six miles away and Wells-Next-The-Sea is just seven miles along the coast road.
Bluebell Cottage has been in the Rogers family for 100 years and the family also ran the village pub for over a hundred years too. You will see links to the Bluebell in the cottage.
Although modernised, Bluebell Cottage retains great traditional charm. It contains many interesting antique pieces of furniture and is very well equipped with everything one needs for a relaxing and restful holiday. The cottage comprises a kitchen with all modern conveniences including a dishwasher, washing machine and microwave, ceramic hob and oven, a dining room with table, chairs and a Victorian armchair, a cosy sitting room with a three piece suite, antique tables, bookcase and books and a Smart TV. Upstairs there are two attractive bedrooms [one double and one with two singles]. The bedrooms both have wardrobes and antique dressing tables. The cottage has a downstairs loo with wash hand basin and a bathroom upstairs with loo, wash hand basin, full sized bath and separate power shower enclosure. The cottage has broadband. All bedlinen is provided and made up for your arrival. We ask guests to bring their own towels and tea towels.
There is an enclosed back courtyard garden [dog safe], with table and benches, plus a BBQ. There is a also a large garden area, laid to grass, to the right of the drive where you can park several cars. A bench and table under the old apple tree is a perfect place to sit and have a cup of tea or sip a G&T on a sunny evening.
The cottage has steep stairs and is not suitable for young children or those with mobility difficulties. We do allow up to two small / medium sized well behaved dogs. Dogs must sleep in the kitchen (dog gate provided from kitchen to dining room) and they must not be left in the house when you go out. Dogs are not allowed on any of the furniture and must not be allowed to go upstairs at all.
There are many excellent pubs and restaurants in the area offering a wide variety of food, from hearty bar snacks to a la carte dining. More details can be found in the information packs you will find in the cottage. There is a wealth of things to do in the area and Langham is ideally placed in this delightful area of North Norfolk.
We are always happy to answer more detailed questions about the cottage, the area and local attractions, so please don't hesitate to get in touch. Information brochures in the cottage detail many places of interest, local eateries, walks and other information, such as seal trip times to Blakeney Point.

The cottage has been in the family for over 100 years. We love the fact that our guests really enjoy staying in Bluebell Cottage and love the area as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

Charming and characterful, yet homely, cosy and welcoming. We also own a large garden area to the side of the cottage [across the drive]which is laid to grass. You are most welcome to use this garden, but younger children should be supervised.

What makes this property unique

Great position with Blakeney and Morston very close and Wells and Holt a short drive away. Both coast and countryside have such a lot to offer, from crabbing at Blakeney to visiting beautiful National Trust properties and land. Many wonderful walks and cycle rides in the area. Bird watching paradise all around, with Cley a particular focus. Lots and lots of lovely pubs, restaurants and cafes in the area too.
