PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

This is a top floor flat in a very attractive estate in the town of Penicuik, close to Edinburgh. It has just been voted the cleanest town in Scotland and the second cleanest town in the UK.There are regular b uses into the city every 10 minutes and the journey usually takes about 40 minutes.

There are also night buses 7 days a week.

The Scottish borders are also easily accessible and there is a regular bus service to this area too.

ACCOMODATION

Bedroom 1 has a double bed and an en suite shower room.

Bedroom 2 has twin beds ( travelling cot is also available)

Bathroom 2 has bath, wash basin and toilet.

Dining room has a table which seats six plus high chair

Sitting Room is a large room with bay window. It has comfortable seating for 8 ,TV, DVD and CD and Internet connection.There is also a wide selection of books ,board games and toys.

Kitchen has a breakfast bar and is very well equipped with oven,hob,fridge,freezer,washing machine and microwave.

CLEANING/TOWELS/LINEN/MAID SERVICE

All towels and linen provided and the property is cleaned at the start of your stay.

AMENITIES/FACILITIES

Parking in a designated bay at back and ample parking at front. There is also a children's play park on the estate.

ACCESSABILITY

2 flights of stairs. There is no lift.

ABOUT THE AREA

Golf .There are several golf courses locally which are open to visitors.

Skiing. Hillend dry ski slope,which is the largest in Europe, is a 10 minute journey away.

Rosslyn Chapel is also close by.

Walking and Cycling. The close proximity of the Pentland Hills offers excellent hill walking. There are also several off road cycle paths and walkways which are directly accessible from the apartment.

There is also a new Leisure Centre with swimming pool, and a large public park with play park and skate park.

I stayed for three weeks in Jean’s flat. The flat was exactly as described in the listing. Jean welcomed me to the flat when I arrived, and took a few minutes to show me around. The flat is in a very quiet development, within easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants in the centre of Penicuik and a short drive to Tesco.

Great flat!

Jean's flat is perfect for couples or families. Everything you need. Great cooking facilities, toys for kids, comfy beds. Location was great for us to visit our relatives in Penicuik but also easy to catch the bus into Edinburgh. This was our second stay here.

Lovely and large apartment in Penicuik.

The apartment is located in quiet location only a short walk or drive from shops, pubs and cafes. The area is surrounded by beautiful Scottish countryside with a number of walking trails to explore. The apartment is beautifully presented with lovely views. A great place to relax yet not too far from the heart of Edinburgh.

Wonderful base for exploring Edinburgh and the Pentland Hills

The apartment was a perfect base for visiting our daughter at the University of Edinburgh and exploring the local area. There are some lovely walks very close by in the Pentland Hills. The bus into Edinburgh was convenient, although a little slow (allow an hour). The apartment itself was very clean and cosy and had everything we needed. Altogether a lovely stay and we would love to return.

3rd floor dated palace.

Nice spread flat. But alot of room taken up with antiques & books. Or to put it interesting decor. Would stay again with full pillows & a shower needed in main bath. Or a pail in tub at least!

A Wonderful Place to Stay!

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Jean is such a nice person and collected us from the bus stop when we arrived. She gave us lots of helpful information and even kindly met me in Edinburgh after I'd left my flask in her car. The property itself is really lovely, and in a very nice and peaceful location. We came for the Fringe and used to get buses to and from Penicuik which worked out well. It was really nice to return to the peace and quiet of Penicuik after the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh. We'll definitely stay again next time we come for the Fringe. Thank you so much Jean. You're a gem!

Excellent place to stay. Perfect location to get to Edinburgh and beyond. Check in was easy and fast. Kitchen was full service and good size rooms for a family of 4.

Mooie en rustige lokatie.

Mooie buurt en Cosy Appartement op 2 hoog , inrichting is zeer comfortabel goede bedden , mooi schone badkamer met ligbad. Zeer goede WIFI VERBINDING !Keuken en accessoires is wel verouderd en gedateerd ,geen vaatwasser hadden 1e dag koelkast defect maar even gebeld en werd zelfde dag nog vervangen door de gast heer dus super service . Adviseer vooral veel de bus te gebruiken zeker om naar Edinburg te gaan super verbinding en cheap ook weer op advies vd gastvrouw. In Penicuik centrum voldoende Bars en adviseer om in het Crown inn te gaan dineren super goed verzorg en netjes binnen.

Lovely home

We enjoyed our 3 nite stay in this charming home out in the suburbs of Edinburgh. It was clean quiet and close to the bus stops. Our host was very helpful. I would recommend that having your own car would be very helpful as the bus schedules must assume you know the city.

Close to woodland walks. Frequent buses to Edinburgh. Nice restaurants in Penicuik and friendly local pubs. For family visiting there is also a great soft play less than 5 mins away
