Excellent for spending your holidays without a car. Excellent for photography enthusiasts.
The delightful apartment, "The Spices of the Florio", is located inside the first building owned by the well-known family, right above their old aromas and spices shop. Just to remember it is from here that the fortune of the Florio dynasty begins.
Due to its central location it is an excellent choice for travelers interested in history, architecture and street food.
"The Spices of the Florio" will give you the opportunity to enjoy your holiday in Palermo to the fullest, cradling you with all the comforts that an apartment can offer. The apartment is about 70 square meters and consists of 1 entrance, a living area with equipped and equipped kitchen available for guests with a large balcony for drying clothes, 1 air-conditioned bedroom with balcony, 1 air-conditioned bedroom in the attic and 1 comfortable bathroom with shower. Overall, the house can accommodate 4 people with the possibility of a single bed in the largest bedroom for the possible fifth person.
High speed Internet connection, TV, fully equipped kitchen, fridge / freezer, iron, hair dryer, Nespresso with aeroccino, toaster and kettle. First aid kit and security card.
The apartment is located in the heart of the ancient "Vucciria" market and in the Arab-Norman itinerary, proclaimed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site next to the Church of S. Maria La Nova. At 200mt you can reach the Cala, a Palermo tourist port, which inebriates with the flavors, colors, scents typical of this land during the day and in the evening it enchants with an evocative atmosphere of lights and emotions; at 150mt there is the via Roma, Palermo's main artery crossed by public transport which allow you to reach the Central Station, the Mondello beach and the ancient Monreale; at 100mt the Church of San Domenico with its splendid square; in the immediate vicinity there are Palazzo Steri, the Museum of Palazzo Abatellis, the Church and the Oratory of Santa Cita, Casa Professa, La Martorana, as well as the Markets of Ballarò and Capo, the Cathedral, the Quattro Canti, Palazzo dei Normanni, Palazzo Branciforte, Massimo and Politeama theaters and much more to discover.
The "Vucciria" (taken from the French boucherie, which means butchery) is no longer the market of the past; in fact, my memories of a child raised in Palermo refer to a place full of spices, delicious meats, exotic fruit and all kinds of food. Very little remains of the old market, but for some years now it has had a new look linked to tourism and the nightlife of the city. I therefore recommend an unusual aperitif with freshly grilled fish, stigghiole, quarume and various fried foods that show a real and interesting insight into this wonderful city.

It is a spacious apartment that is well equipped. Excellent Wi-Fi and hit water, and close to the centre of the city. We enjoyed our stay. Silvia is a friendly and helpful host. We would stay here again. There is secure parking nearby for €15 a day.
We had a wonderful time in this appartment. It is in a perfect location close to everything including very pleasant street bars and eating places, Vuccaria market and the shuttle bus to the airport within 5mn walk, and the rest of old Palerma within easy walking distance. yet the street, very typical of old Palerma was very quiet, clean and safe. The flat itself is absolutely charming, clean and comfortable. We loved the balconies! Our only minor comment was that it lacked a few bits and pieces to be completely perfect such as teaspoons, cereal bowls, mugs, a broom or brush, replacement bin bags…very minor things easily remedied compared to the utter charm and perfect location of the place. We would return without any hesitation. Thank you to our host for opening her beautiful flat to us.
