Ideally located in the heart of Newlyn for food and entertainment choice with bus stop right outside. The cottage itself was beautifully furnished and decorated with local paintings. The host was extremely helpful and I would recommend it as a place to stay to my friends

This location and cottage was excellent. Right in the heart of newlyn but yet felt cozy and was quiet. Len was an amazing host, definitely coming back as we were not able to take everything in during our 3 days!

A lovely little cottage in a lovely little spot.

The cottage was a charming little space, beautifully decorated and cozy, located a pleasant thirty-minute walk along the coastal path away from Penzance proper. It was a wonderful haven to return to after a day's tromping around the beaches and ports of Penzance and St. Ives, a delightful little home-away-from home. I'd happily stay here again.

Beautiful Cornwall

Loved all the art! The kitchen was just like being at home. Lovely sunroom and courtyard area. The bed was super comfy and the claw foot bath/shower was novel. The cottage is in a great position for seafood restaurants and walks along the coast.

Lovely quirky cottage

The cottage is well located, lovely and quiet (despite being close to the main road through Newlyn). It is very spacious for two people and has all the facilities and equipment you could need. Lots of useful information supplied by the host ahead of check-in. Would definitely recommend.

What a find

Herbert Cottage is right in the middle of everything Newlyn, an active yet picturesque fishing village with great restaurants & cafe has to offer. Just a short stroll to Penzance &short car rides to all the lhighlights it’s really well situated. Although centrally located it’s peaceful & quiet with everything you could want. Lenn was a great host

Such a locely house to stay in - comfortable, quirky, fun and relaxing. Newlyn is a lovely place to stay, and there are so many other great places nearby. We want to come again so we can investigate more! We will be back! Not only this, but Lenn was brilliantly helpful at every point - couldn't have asked for a better property manager. Newlyn cottage in June

Nice location between Penzance and Mousehole. Very clean and had everything needed for all kitchen cooking. Sweet patio off sunroom. Many good restaurants near by, and good starting point for walks. Be awarer of steps up to bedroom and bath. We're in our late 60s and did fine but some folks might have trouble. We'd stay here again!

Home away from home with a special something!

Unigue property with an ideal location for anyone looking to sample life in coastal Cornwall. The cottage has it all : an owner with intimate knowledge of Newlyn and Penzance, a delightful space with no touch missing- from wickedly entertaining artwork to cozy charm, situated right beside the exceptional Cornish bus system and excellent local shops supplying fresh produce and the freshest, tastiest fish available, great eating places on the doorstep, and a kitchen wanting for naught! I stayed a month and wish it had been longer. Restful, restorative, a perfect get- away that is private but close to all.

Quite different..unable to open the windows and doors because of the cooking smells from next door, very hot inside. you need fans there to help with the heat...

Perfect cottage and location for two people.

Herbert Cottage is a truly beautiful home. It is full of paintings and other objets d’art produced mainly by local artists and are a delight to view. It is very well equipped and very comfortable to live in. Parking wasn’t a problem. Newlyn is a great place to stay and has so much to offer. There is excellent seafood available at the Tolcarne Inn and Mackerel Sky and also lovely cheese, fruit and vegetables from the local shops. It’s a great location for visiting beautiful beaches, coast paths and it’s not far to walk to both Mousehole and Penzance. Lenn is a very friendly guy and will give you plenty of advice and recommendations to ensure you have a great time. We hope to book the cottage again at some time in in the future.

Sehr besonderes Cottage in zentraler Lage, mit hervorragender Ausstattung und geschmackvollen, originellen Accessoires, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Sympathischer Kontakt zum großzügigen Gastgeber, wir konnten vorhandene Lebensmittel genießen, incl. Weinsortiment unter der Treppe. Viele gute Tips von ihm!!! Einziges kleines Manko war der Frittiergeruch vom (guten) Fischrestaurant direkt vor der Tür...man konnte nur früh morgens und spät Abends richtig lüften. Da wir tagsüber meist auf dem nahen South West Coast Path unterwegs waren fiel das aber nicht schwer ins Gewicht! Danke an Lenn für die schöne Zeit!!

Sehr schönes Häuschen

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Haus ist gemütlich und hat einen schönen kleinen Innenhof. Das einzige Manko ist, dass es im Badezimmer praktisch keine Ablage gibt. Die Lage ist sehr günstig, auch wenn man ohne Auto unterwegs ist. Wir haben auch viele gute Tipps für Unternehmungen und Restaurants bekommen, was sehr hilfreich war. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt in der Fischerhütte sehr schön.

Herbert Cottage is a Work of art!

I loved my stay at Herbert Cottage. Sunny conservatory overlooking well tended plant filled garden, gorgeous art throughout, stylish and absolutely spotless. Perfect location to explore surrounding area with no need for a car. Wonderful recommendations, clear communication and Immediate response to questions from Lenn.

Charming cottage in Newlyn

This is a very cute cottage. It is very well equipped especially in the kitchen. The hosts are very helpful. Many restos nearby. The front door is up a small alley and you have to unload on a busy street. This can be done quite easily and then you park around the corner 5 mins away. The only caution I have is that if you have difficulty walking the stairs could be challenging.

A cottage of great taste

A quirky little cottage. Although it is small the rooms are all a good size. It well equipped to allow a comfortable stay. The owners taste is stamped on ever room but is friendly and welcoming rather than intimidating. It is a great base to explore this part of Cornwall with good walks. Perfect for visitors who want to be ‘out and doing’ as the downstairs only has windows onto the courtyard garden so not a place to sit and watch the world go by. The owner is charming and helpful and provides some great advice and what to do and where to go.
