Romantic Cottage in Snowdonia National Park. Stay in the Woodland's Heart!
one bed-roomed detached cottage set in the gardens and woodland of the main house. Having a private parking space for one car outside the entrance. It is centrally heated and equipped to a high standard providing very comfortable accommodation throughout the year.
The small but cosy open-plan cottage has a lounge with TV and DVD player with beamed ceilings leading through French-windows to a small balcony overlooking the estuary and Cader Idris mountain range. Off the lounge is the bedroom with a double bed, the shower room and well equipped kitchen/dining area. There is an electric cooker, fridge and microwave oven.
There is WiFi in the cottage but due to the rural location mobile signal can be patchy depending on your network. A lot of the local café’s and bars in both Barmouth and Dolgellau do offer Broadband free of charge.
Situated between Barmouth and Dolgellau, Coedmor is within easy reach of many North Wales attractions. A perfect base for touring Snowdonia and is close to over 5 miles of stunning Sandy beaches.

just the right size for a couple, everything you would need in the kitchen, wifi was good, tv channels better than normal. comfy ,nice outdoor seating area. warm and secure, had a nice little welcome box. i only had one small complaint the toilet space is a bit tight to the wall.
Compact and functional. All we needed for a good base and the Barn provided it. The garden was lovely but too cold to have breakfast sitting out on the deck. Only problem was the weather, not a good few days when we went.
Booked this little get away for my partner's birthday and really was not disappointed! We showed up a little later than the check in time, due to traffic ect. The self cartering aspect is amazing in the sense that you're not disturbing the host if you show upintime.
What an amazing stay we had , the property was beautiful, well presented and very clean. Owners were lovely and friendly and the view overlooking the estuary at the back of the property was breathtaking. This was a lovely place to stay for just two people. Will definitely be going back
We really enjoyed our visit and loved the little cosy lodge. It was well equiped and was perfect for our short stay. We had great communication with the owners and would definitely go again.
We absolutely loved our weekend, the Coedmor barn was everything we hoped it would be. We explored the local area and visited Snowdon, it was lovely to return to the cosy cottage after our long walks. We loved it. Thank You
A perfect place for any couple wishing to enjoy excellent accomodation and central to north Wales tourist attractions. In all aspects our accomodation was of an excellent standard! Thank you to our hosts - we take these wonderful memories back to Australia with us!
The cottage is definitely five-star all round!
I had a lovely, comfortable stay for two weeks in this real home from home, with everything I needed (including good internet), a glorious garden and a stunning location. Thank you - I hope to return soon!
Comfortable, relaxing holiday in stunning location
Communication with the hosts was excellent. We had detailed directions to the property and instructions for checking in. The barn is lovely and welcoming. We had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The gardens and location were stunning.
Even though the converted barn is modest in size, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay, as a couple. The view of the bay and mountains, especailly from the balcony, is superb. It is in a quiet location but close enough to Barmouth to be able to easily access its facilities and services. The garden area is lovely and provides a great setting.
The barn where we stayed is a very old building, beautifully updated and comfortable. The porch at the back offers a lovely view. The hosts were available but not intrusive. We would recommend staying here and would come back again if we were in the area.
100% recommend this place. It has everything and more that you would want. Fantastic views, ideal location and the owners go above and beyond for your stay. Leaving you a lovely welcome package.
The barn provides all you need for a hiking holiday in Wales. Central starting point towards numerous hiking tours in the area, towards narrow gauge railways if you are interested. At the end of the day you can relax with a cup of tea or a Glas of wine on the small terrace.
We spent a week at Coedmor Barn as a couple, looking to unwind and enjoy some time in nature — and in that regard, the location truly delivers. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for walks or quiet reflection. The small terrace outside the cottage is particularly charming, ideal for enjoying a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. The cottage itself is architecturally lovely and full of potential, with a lot of character and a beautiful setting. However, the interior left us a bit disappointed. The furnishings feel rather basic and lack warmth, which took away from the otherwise idyllic atmosphere. The sofa is unfortunately very uncomfortable, and the bed's mattress is quite hard and not conducive to restful sleep. It’s also worth noting that the sleeping area cannot be properly darkened, which might be a concern for light-sensitive sleepers. While the hosts live nearby, we didn’t have any personal interaction with them, which felt somewhat impersonal. Our questions were mostly answered when we reached out, but we didn’t feel particularly welcomed or looked after. A bit more attentiveness and friendliness would have gone a long way in enhancing the overall experience.Do keep in mind that the nearest pub and supermarket are about 6 km away, and there is a nearby road that occasionally reminds you you're not completely secluded.
A lovely little cottage with a fabulous garden and great views over the Mawddach estuary. The decking is fantastic for bird watching and the dawn chorus was the best I’ve heard in many years. Great location ideal for exploring the coast, both north and south and also inland into the Rhinogs. Numerous ancient sites nearby to explore too. We would happily revisit.
