READ WINTER INFO BEFORE BOOKING!**
**Welcome to Mountain Life!**

We’re thrilled to have you and your family stay with us at THAT Cabin. Please keep in mind that life here operates a bit differently than in the larger surrounding cities. The weather can be unpredictable, and the local charm adds to the experience.

Before you head out, here are a few important things to know:

1. **Weather Preparedness:** The weather can change quickly in the mountains. Be sure to check local forecasts and pack accordingly, including warm layers and waterproof gear.

2. **Local Amenities:** While our village may not have all the conveniences of larger cities, it offers a delightful selection of local shops and restaurants. We encourage you to explore and support these local businesses!

3. **Mountain Safety:** Whether you’re hiking, skiing, or enjoying the outdoors, please take necessary precautions to ensure your safety. Familiarize yourself with local trails and always let someone know your plans.

4. **Wildlife Awareness:** We share this beautiful space with local wildlife. Please respect their habitats and follow guidelines for encounters.

5. **Community Guidelines:** Respecting our neighbors and community is essential. Keep noise levels down, especially in the evenings, and adhere to any local regulations.

We are excited to help you create wonderful memories in this beautiful mountain setting.

(We DO NOT Supply wood for fire starting provisions, we can have wood available upon request for an additional fee. Or wood can be purchased in the village or bring your own. DO NOT BURN DURALOGS IN THE FIREPLACE. Real wood only.

ONCE THE SNOW ARRIVES…❄️🌨❄️❄️🌨❄️

In the winter Highway 14 may or may not have snow on it. The county plows the roads sunup to sundown. Upon arriving in the village the drive to the cabin is on snow covered gravel roads.
There may not be cell service for your provider in our area so please come prepared. You will ascend 8500 ft. Winter weather may vary on your journey.

4x4 is REQUIRED Winter months and we always just carrying chains. **If you feel you need chains put them on BEFORE attempting the hills, put them on in them on in a safe, flat, out of the way area. DO NOT BLOCK ROADS especially Movie Ranch/ Meadow Ranch ( it is a hill once past the church) as it is the only access to the community. 2 Wheel drive WILL NOT work.

SNOW REMOVAL: if it snows during your stay your driveway will be blown out if there’s 8” or more. The plow may only blow up to where your car is parked. If your car is on the street it may get covered in snow from the plow. So, ALWAYS park in the designated parking spots. Snow removal on the deck, too and around your car is your responsibility. There will be a shovel on the deck of the cabin. We are in line for snow plow AFTER the main roads, resident and elders.

POWER OUTAGES: in the event of a power outage the only source of heat is from the fireplace and you will have to start the fire for heat. We do not stock wood or fire starters. Plan ahead if there is winter weather and have these provisions.

This information is not to discourage your winter adventure but to keep you in form so that you can make the best of your vacation.

Week long stay for family of 4

THAT Cabin worked well for us, there was plenty of room and had everything you would need. Was right between Zion and Bryce, up in the mountains, in the woods with a great view looking east. Very close to Cedar Breaks, Ice Cave, and Mammoth Caves. Amazing sunrises. No dishwasher, so be ready to hand wash everything. There is gas and some food at the village along with ATV/OHV rentals. The deer came by each evening, right up to the deck just to check in :-)

Comfortable and Relaxing

We had a very nice weekend at THAT Cabin. The property was well equipped with a full kitchen, comfortable beds, clean lounging spaces, and a large deck with views of the meadow and creek that can’t be beat. We used THAT Cabin as a base for day trips to Bryce Canyon and Navajo Lake, and spent the evenings BBQ’ing and relaxing on the deck. I definitely recommend THAT Cabin for anyone looking for a calm, relaxing weekend.

We wanted a place with a deck and a view because we spend a lot of time relaxing outside. THAT Cabin fit the bill, with plenty of seats and a table for eating. The deck faces mainly east which is ideal. The interior is updated, clean, stocked plentiful, and everything we used worked. Beds are high and mattresses comfortable. Plenty of lighting, fans, and heaters. We were there in July, but Duck Creek really doesn't get too hot. We opened windows and used ceiling fans and were comfortable. We didn't see one bug, but were careful to keep the doors closed. The decor is fun and tasteful, sooo many interesting things. It was super quiet except for the occasional truck or side by side. For groceries, we found the True Value Country Store the best option. Not a huge selection, but we were able to buy a steak and some produce. The upstairs of the cabin is absolutely adorable if you have family. There are no closets on the main floor, but there is a utility room which helped for storing our bags. The only thing we'd change about THAT Cabin is to reduce some of the clutter. It's all very cute, but it leaves very little open space. Guests need open space. That said, it's clear the owners have put a lot of love and TLC into THAT Cabin. You won't want for a thing.

Great Last Minute Find

We needed to escape the scorching Las Vegas heat with our pets. At the eleventh hour, we decided to head to Duck Creek and were lucky enough to come across THAT Cabin! Remarkably, it offers one of the most breathtaking mountain views from its deck. The cabin exceeded our expectations with its cleanliness, excellent amenities, and attentive owners who even allowed us to check in at noon instead of 4 pm. It was truly a win-win situation. Without a doubt, my family, including our beloved pets, will be returning! Thank you for providing us with such an amazing escape.

Nice Relaxing Cabin

We enjoyed our stay in "THAT CABIN" atop the hills of Duck Creek Village. The close location to Zion and Bryce canyons were especially nice and after a long day hiking, the cabin provided a perfect place to relax for our family. We enjoyed cooking food on the campfire, playing games, watching movies, relaxing with a book, morning coffee on the deck overlooking the meadow, a GREAT breakfast at Aunt Sue's Chalet and sleeping comfortably with the cool night air. A few of the windows were missing screens so it was a little warm at night in the loft area, however, we would highly recommend this cabin and had a wonderful stay! -The Zoller's Grand Rapids, Michigan

Wonderful cabin, had a great time, but won't use VRBO next time

We were very happy with the cabin and our stay, couldn't have been better. However, when I booked another property near Duck Creek in Brian Head, I first looked at VRBO, but then on a whim looked at Airb&b. I found several incidents where the exact same property was as much as $200 less on Airb&b. The cost difference seemed to be the "owner's fee," or something like it. At this point Airb&b is my new first choice for searching vacation rentals.

Awesome Place

That Cabin was fantastic ! Everything described was spot on . The cabin was very clean and well appointed . We have stayed in quite a few vacation rentals and one thing they all seem to have in common is a lack of dishes , pots and pans , towels , pillows . I was surprised at how well equipped this place was , it made us fell right at home . We really enjoyed BBQing on the deck and just chilling out . The location is awesome with great access to numerous trail systems . I have to agree with all the other reviews Ive read before staying there and give That Cabin a 5 star rating as well . We are looking forward to going back and would highly recommend That Cabin to anyone

Beautiful and Welcoming

We were so impressed with the property. It was clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with every appliance imaginable. A Welcome Package of s'mores, bottled water, and granola bars were waiting for us on the kitchen table. Thank You. What a nice surprise. The location of the cabin is on a peaceful street and the view from the cabin overlooking the meadow and red rock bluffs in the distance simply entices one to stay at the cabin. We so enjoyed our vacation. Thank you. Appreciated all the amenities you provided.

Wonderful cabin with a fabulous view!

Our family fell in love with THAT Cabin the moment we arrived. The cabin has a large deck with a spectacular view where you can prepare your dinner on the gas grill, spot wildlife, or drink your morning coffee. It has a great layout, including tables that can be moved around to suit your needs. And the kitchen has everything you could want to make your meals. Our kids loved the movie and game loft (they have a great DVD collection). It's an easy drive to Bryce, Cedar Breaks, Cedar City (for the Shakespeare Festival!), and lots of wonderful hikes in Dixie National Forest (Cascade Falls, Aspen Mirror Lake). And if you like to stargaze, this is a great place - we stayed up late one night to view the Perseid Meteor Shower. Because of the high altitude, heat wasn't a problem at all even in early August - it was in the 70s our entire stay which was perfect. We hated to leave and can't wait to return!

We have been married for over 30 years, living the fast pace crazy city life. We felt it was time to slow down, recharge, and start enjoying life and thinking about our future. The charming village of Duck Creek captured our hearts, and we hope one day to call it home. When we found "THAT Cabin," we felt this is the beginning of our dreams and future happiness! Hopefully, we will have more cabins to come!

Why they chose this property

When we first set foot on this property, there was a warm, comfortable feeling all around. Then when we stepped onto the huge deck and saw one of the most beautiful views we've ever seen, it was hands down "THE ONE"!
After purchasing the cabin, Andeen and I put our hearts and souls into remodeling it and creating the perfect escape from city life. We chose to name it "THAT Cabin" because every time we talked to someone about the cabin, their response was, "Oh Yeah, THAT Cabin with the view! Nature and unwavering beauty surround THAT Cabin, and our goal is to ensure those that choose to stay enjoy and feel welcome.

What makes this property unique

1000 sq. ft. wrap-around deck overlooks Zion, Pink Cliffs, Bryce Canyon, and Duck Creek Meadow! Outdoor dining, BBQing, and entertaining while enjoying the fresh air and a SPECTACULAR view with family and friends. With numerous bird -feeders, turkey and deer troughs, bowls for squirrels and chipmunks, the wildlife is an everyday occurrence at "THAT Cabin."
