A lovely cottage in a beautiful area
A lovely cottage in a beautiful area. We stayed for 3 nights but wished it could have been longer, the walks from the cottage were fantastic and there is so many other things we wished we'd had time to do while we were there. Valerie is a lovely lady, who went out of her way to be helpful and friendly.

Charming rural cottage in the heart of the Forest of Dean
We've just had a wonderful 3 night stay in this beautiful old cottage. We had a warm welcome from Val (and Sooty!) and it was very well equipped for a family of 5 and also allowed dogs. There are some lovely things to do in the area, none of which were too far away - Puzzlewood, Clearwell Caves, Cannop ponds, Symonds Yat, Beechenhurst sculpture trail and cycle trails galore! A great few days away and we'd love to return! There is also a second cottage across the courtyard which sleeps 9, so perfect for a larger group looking to stay together.

The cottages are owned by The Wye Valley Arts Centre which is located in the neighbouring village of Llandogo and proceeds from the holiday lettings help to support this and its charitable fund in turn for Kidzart which runs workshops in Arts and Crafts for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Why they chose this property

Situated on the western border of the beautiful Royal Forest of Dean in the Wye Valley and within walking distance of the delightful village of St. Briavels, the two cottages adjoining The Coach House are the perfect place for reunions, family gatherings, holidays for painting groups, rambling groups, writing groups, photography groups and history groups.

There are individual descriptions for each of the cottages in the following sections and each can be hired individually or in conjunction with the other to accommodate a larger group of 12.
