Located in an attractive village of Arco da Calheta, situated in the south west of the island, the "VENIK HOUSE" was rebuilt in 2017 thinking about the well being and comfort of its guests.

The apartment has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living room, a kitchen and a pantry, fully equipped, and there is an open parking as well.
It is possible to put a cot in one of the rooms.
There is also a balcony that includes a barbecue.

You can sit on the balcony and enjoy the sun from sunrise to go down, it provides a relaxing setting overlooking the mountains and the sea.

It's located just a few minutes from all the amenities, like supermarket, bakery, cafes, restaurants, health care, hair dresser, bank, ATM, and also easy access to sea.
The marina and the golden sandy Calheta Beach are 5 minutes drive away.

This well equipped apartment, high above the coast, offered a terrific view. We enjoyed food and drinks on the balcony. This is a great place to stay!!

We had a good stay at Venik House, it‘s well equipped and very spacious. The view is very impressive. The only negative aspect was, that it was a little cold in the apartment.

Das Apartment(im Untergeschoss lebt eine Portugiesische Familie) liegt deutlich höher am Berg als im Mai 25 auf Fewo angezeigt.Damit ist es kühler und windiger (angenehm im Sommer).Die Bilder zeigen sehr gut was an Möbeln vorhanden ist (Stühle sind so unbequem wie sie aussehen).Die Betten sind ( madeiratypisch) sehr hart.Die Aussicht ist phantastisch und die Küche ist gut eingerichtet, so das Selber-Kochen Spass macht.Zum Empfang standen frische Blumen und Kekse dort.Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin fand nur über Fewo statt und war teilweise sehr verzögert…unsere Abschluss Anfrage wurde nicht beantwortet….(und leider auch keine Verabschiedung).Die Dinge die während des Aufenthalts kaputt gingen wurden jedoch kurzfristig repariert.Als Fazit : ein nettes Apartment mit toller Aussicht das zum richtigen Preis eine gute Alternative ist.

Gut zum entdecken der Levadas geeignet, aber kein Urlaub mit Kindern

Das Haus und die Gastgeber waren super, sehr gastfreundlich und beantworteten Fragen immer sehr schnell und gaben tolle Tipps! Lediglich im Haus könnte man bemängeln, das im Bad ,Regale fehlen. Oder im Flur eine Garderobe schön gewesen wäre. Dafür das viele Hunde und Hähne uns den schlaf raubten, können die Gastgeber auch nicht. Dies wird überall auf der Insel so sein... Die Landschaft ist toll... und lädt zum Wandern ein... Ist für jeden etwas dabei. Zum schwimmen oder das Wasser mit Kindern genießen ist schwer, den es gibt lediglich drei kleine künstlich angelegte Strände die dann natürlich sehr voll sind... wir trotz alledem den Urlaub sehr genossen und finden das es eine tolle Insel ist!

Grosszügiges Appartement mit prächtiger Aussicht!

Die Unterkunft ist auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert. Die Wohnung von Catarina ist sehr schön, geräumig, gut ausgestattet (Betten, Möbel, Schränke, Bad, Geschirr, Bad- und Küchentextilien), sauber, mit grosser Küche, und viel Stauraum. Der Balkon ist gemütlich mit Feuerstelle und einem wundervollen Ausblick auf das Dorf und das Meer. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen und wohl gefühlt. Die Kommunikation mit Catarina war sehr angenehm, sie ist sehr hilfsbereit und ihre Willkommenssnacks und Empfehlungen sind super nett. Es war sehr ruhig, einzig die Hähne und Hunde, die schon früh morgens zu krähen und jaulen anfingen, haben uns ein wenig gestört. Mit Ohrstöpseln gings. Dafür wurden wir auch stets voller Freude vom Nachbarshund begrüsst. Auch in Arco da Calheta sind die Strassen steil und teilweise schmal. Wir mussten aufpassen, wo uns das Navi durchführte, auch als wir das erste Mal zum Venik House hochfuhren. Die Lage von Arco da Calheta und von der Unterkunft sind praktisch und schön.
