Within walking distance of the picturesque village of Winchcombe, enjoy a host of local pubs, restaurants and little shops as well as being near Cotswold highlights including Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold, Cheltenham and Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park.

Queen Mary Cottage is a 2-bedroom cottage on the spectacular estate of 1000-year-old Sudeley Castle and is named after Queen Mary (the wife of King George V), who visited the Dent-Brocklehurst family at Sudeley Castle in 1944. The cottage sleeps four people across a double bedroom and twin bedroom, making it perfect for families or groups enjoying a getaway together to the beautiful Cotswolds.

The ground floor has a sociable open-plan layout over two levels. A large, modern kitchen with country-style cabinets, wood-effect worktops and some original wood beams is a great space to prepare some indulgent dinners when you’re not dining out in Winchcombe’s many lovely pubs. A dining area provides the perfect spot to enjoy meals together.

Step down into the living room to find comfortable sofas ideal for relaxing in the evening after a busy day exploring. In the summer, French doors can be thrown open to let the outdoors in. Step out on to a seating area with a countryside view over the Sudeley estate, an ideal spot for a glass of wine on a warm evening as the sun goes down. From your doorstep, you can explore the beautiful castle grounds or set out to explore the wider Cotswolds.

Ground Floor

Kitchen:
The generous sized kitchen has all the appliances you could need for a self-catering holiday, including a fridge, freezer, oven and hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher and washer/dryer. A back door opens from the kitchen out to a small seating area.

Dining Area:
Within the spacious kitchen is a stylish wooden dining table seating four.

Living Room:
Down a step from the kitchen/dining area is a living room with two large double sofas, smart TV and an electric fire. French doors lead out to the seating area.

First Floor

Bedroom One:
The master bedroom features a double divan bed, built-in cupboard and dressing room. Original wood beams and an antique dressing table add plenty of character.

Family Bathroom:
The shared bathroom has a large walk-in shower, a basin with mirror, toilet and a heated towel rail.

Bedroom Two:
This twin room with rear views towards the River Isbourne has two single beds and a hanging cupboard.

Outside
Queen Mary has a patio at the rear of the property with seating, a table for four and a charcoal BBQ. As with all the Sudeley Castle Cottages, it is a short walk to the shared parking area and to the Castle and Gardens. Explore the beautiful estate to your heart’s content, join one of the many local footpaths to explore further a field or walk into pretty Winchcombe.
