We offer 26” aluminum-frame beach cruisers for rent at $50/week per bike. Just let us know in advance if you’d like to reserve.

Wonderful House, Perfect Location

Loved the house. It was a great location and perfect for walking to the beach. Had plenty of parking which was great. Cozy, cute, and clean. Would definitely stay here again. 5 stars overall.

Love the nest!

The Nest is a cozy, peaceful haven within sight of the beach. My friend and I enjoyed staying there very much. I loved the outdoor shower! and I was so grateful to get to enjoy my vacation with my dogs. Kevin was a perfect host and was very responsive whenever we had questions. The neighborhood is also very clean and peaceful. I didn't want to leave!

Highly Recommend staying at The Nest!

The Nest is a great little beach cottage and we had the best time staying there!!! We had everything we needed and more, and it is in a great location with just a short walk to the beach. It is decorated so cute, and the beds were very comfortable, and lots of room in the cottage for our whole family. We especially loved the screen porch with fans, the farmhouse table, the games and cards, ice machine, beach cart, and everything! A bonus for us was the large driveway that made it super easy to back our boat in. The owner, Kevin, was easy to communicate with, and so accommodating and made sure we were comfortable. We would highly recommend this rental for your vacation at Mexico Beach/ St. Joe Beach!!!

Nice getaway

We had a nice time at the Nest for our pre-Christmas getaway. We relaxed, walked to the beach, and enjoyed fresh seafood at local restaurants. It is nice to see that the area is starting to rebound. One mention for prospective families looking at this property. Not a problem per se, but the doors are slatted in all rooms so be aware that there is not a ton of sound privacy. Perfect property for a small, close-knit family and pet. Thank you, Kevin, for being a helpful host. The house is adorable and thanks for allowing our pup to stay as well.

Perfect cozy beach house!

We loved our stay at The Nest! Kevin was super responsive before and during our stay with any questions or needs that came up, and went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. The location couldn't have been better -- so easy to go back and forth to the super close beach access. The house was cozy but plenty spacious for our family of five. The ice maker was a small addition that made a big impact in ease of packing up for the beach and never running out of ice! It was also great to have use of the beach wagon, chairs, and toys, as we didn't have to bring our bulky cart with us. Best of all, this was our first pet-friendly stay, and it was so great having our pup with us! One note: doors are all slatted (including bathroom doors), I'm assuming to help with air circulation. This was not a problem for us, but could be an issue for anyone needing more privacy. Overall would definitely recommend and would love to stay again!

The home was exceptionally clean with lots of towels for our use. The beach was a very short walk away and the neighborhood was quiet and nice for walking our pups. Communication was timely and had the most useful info. I would love to return.

Loved our stay. This area is our happy place. Love the relaxed, chill vibe & really like that we can bring our furry babies with us.The location & space itself is wonderful. The water either a bit more west or on cape san blas is a little nicer IMO.Altho we love a beach cottagey home, this one could use a little more updating. I would say a new mattress, new cushions for outdoor sectional & painting the kitchen cabinets would go a long way.Overall, really enjoyed our stay. Thank you

We currently live in the North Metro Atlanta area where we raise our 3 kids. We love the Gulf coast and travel to the Florida white sand beaches frequently. We fish, golf, travel and enjoy life!


Why they chose this property

We bought this cottage for our vacation home while living in the Atlanta area. We couldn't get enough of this peaceful, friendly place, so we bought this gulf view home. We have a home in metro Atlanta and have decided to share this cottage with others who have fallen in love with the Gulf and the white sand beaches!

What makes this property unique

We love to walk our dog on the beach, watch our kids swim and play in the sand, ride bikes along the coast, campfires on the beach at night and take the boat out to catch some fish. If we don't feel like cooking, we head to Killer Seafood for nationally-recognized Killer Fish Tacos or a bread bowl full of fresh, local seafood and Award-winning Killer Seafood Sauce. Yum! Or, a trip to Provisions in Port Saint Joe- just a short drive up the coast to the east. Incredible food!
