About this property
2 Bed in Tiverton (oc-cide)
Surrounded by rolling Devon countryside, on the fringes of Exmoor National Park, you will find this beautiful barn conversion – the perfect base for a tranquil family holiday. Adjacent to the owner's own home, this is one of four high-quality stone-built cottages, recently converted from the original farm buildings, with underfloor heating. Spend your days exploring the wilds of Exmoor before returning to your peaceful home from home to unwind in the shared outdoor hot tub.
Tucked down a partly unmade lane in the tiny hamlet of Cove, this cottage boasts far-reaching views over the lush hills and valleys. The pretty stable door leads into a spacious, open-plan living/dining/kitchen. It’s a sociable space in which to gather today to unwind after days out, with wooden tones creating a calming atmosphere. Relax in front of the TV or share a special meal together while making plans for tomorrow. A useful cloakroom is also on the ground floor. On the first floor are two attractive bedrooms: the master double room and a twin room each benefiting from an en-suite shower room and decorated in neutral tones for a soothing night’s sleep. Outside, overlooking the shared front lawned garden, each cottage has an individual patio with garden furniture. A special treat is the bubbling hot tub, while kids can burn off excess energy on the trampoline.
The little town of Bampton is just 3 miles away with a lovely choice of shops pubs and restaurants, while Tiverton (6 miles) offers a wide selection of attractions including the 12th-century Tiverton Castle. Bickleigh Mill is just outside Tiverton on the River Exe and offers trout lakes and fishing with a picnic area, farm shops, a waterside tea garden and much more. Around 7 miles north, Exmoor National Park has something for everyone, whether you dream of walking, climbing, cycling or just enjoying a cream tea in the coastal resort of Lynmouth where spectacular cliffs plunge down to the sea.
