About this property
4 Bed in Parracombe (oc-laurel)
This charming holiday cottage is the perfect place to explore the breathtaking Exmoor National Park and the North Devon coast. Just a short stroll away (300 metres) lies Parracombe village centre, where you can find a community cafe and shop offering fresh local produce, as well as a traditional pub to enjoy a hearty meal. When you return to the cottage, you can put your feet up in pure comfort and watch the sun fade over the rolling countryside.
Make yourself at home in the inviting lounge, complete with a comfortable seating area, a charming wood burner in a period fireplace, and a Smart TV. The bright conservatory provides beautiful views and rattan seating, and the country-style kitchen offers a handy breakfast bar. And the traditionally furnished dining room is ideal for more formal meals. On the first floor, the king-size bedroom features a magnificent four-poster bed, a dressing area, and an en-suite bathroom. This leads to two children's rooms: one with two cots, and one with a single bed. Also on this floor is another king-size bedroom, and a spacious family bathroom. Accessed via cottage-style stairs, the second floor features a twin room and a single bedroom. Outside, the rear garden is fully enclosed by shrubs and trees and boasts far-reaching views of the moor. Enjoy al fresco dining on the sheltered patio with its stylish outdoor furniture.
The nearby Woody Bay Station (1.5 miles) is home to a steam train that takes you on a pleasant ride through Lynton and Barnstaple. A visit to the picturesque Lynmouth Harbour (3 miles) is a must, and you can take the famous funicular railway up to the twin village of Lynton, 152 metres above, for stunning coastal views. Take a walk through the wild Exmoor uplands on your doorstep, or explore the captivating Heddon Valley (3 miles), owned by the National Trust and home to rare butterflies.
