A lovely 4-arched medieval bridge, widened in the 18th century, crosses the Windrush, and though Burford itself does not occupy the northern bank, a walk across the bridge is rewarded by wonderful views across watermeadows to the spire of St. John the Baptist parish church. 152 The Hill has been completed renovated and now offers 5 individual holiday homes, The Cottage is one of them, all five properties can be all be rented if you would like, family Christmas, special occasions, the whole property will sleep up to 23, but you will all have your individual space, please see 8379757, 8379752, 6977567, 8379755, and please contact us for details. The Cottage is a two bedroom cottage, with one bathroom with shower, it can sleep up to 4 people, the bedrooms are individual, one double bed and one with a king size bed, downstairs is open plan living, kitchen, dining area and a sitting room with TV.
A communal garden can be found at the back of the property, it is lawned and is available to all guests that are staying at 152 The Hill. When you step outside the property, you are metres away from a newsagent, a butcher, a deli, a chemist, restaurants, pubs, a little further down is the Co-op shop. Lovely cottage hidden away from the busy high street. Once inside you can't hear the busy road at all! Lovely shops on the doorstep. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short due to a burst water main in the area which left us with no running water :( The issue affected local businesses, schools etc which had to close. We will definitely return to the property/area and hopefully get to enjoy what the area has to offer.
The cottage was lovely and cosy and so convenient to the shops. There is also a beautiful shared garden. Sally is a great host and left us some wonderful unexpected treats which were a lovely touch! I would definately stay at Sally’s cottage again.
Another fantastic stay at this lovely cottage, hidden from the main road so no traffic noise, this cottage has all the facilities you need for a visit to the wonderful town of Burford. My only downside is that the mattresses are extremely soft.
We absolutely loved staying at this property. The kitchen had everything we needed to make small meals, the rooms and beds were cozy and comfortable, and the property in general is beautiful. We ate our meals outside and took walks to the public park and the river. We didn’t want to leave, and we all agree it was our favorite property on our vacation.
Ideal spot to explore beautiful Burford and Cotswolds
The Cottage was ideal for our family when we visited for the weekend. Cosy, nicely decorated and a lovely touch being left some fresh bread and cakes on arrival. It's a great location within the scenic village of Burford and an ideal base to explore the Cotswolds. Definitely recommend.
Property was perfect for our long weekend in Burford. Good size for four and had everything we needed. Burford is fairly busy as the gateway to the Cotswolds but the cottage was nice and peaceful with the gated entrance. Was fantastic to have the outside space for relaxing in. Really appreciated the welcome gifts. All great for our stay.
We had a perfect weekend in this cosy cottage in picturesque Burford. It had all essentials and extra treats on arrival :) right in the heart of the town- perfect location.
We enjoyed staying in this cottage in the center of Burford. The host was very accommodating and left us fresh bread and delicious cupcakes, milk and champagne- which made us feel welcome! Definitely recommend!

Lovely cottage in the heart of Burford
Really lovely 2 bedroom cottage in Burford high street but behind other cottages so away from road and therefore peaceful. Very helpful owner ( we added extra night at last minute) and the most delicious cupcakes on arrival. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend - perfect

Thank you for your kind review, still need to master the art of piping icing on the cakes!
The cottage was perfect for our needs and in a fantastic location, just a stones throw from the high street but set back so very quiet. The extra touches were lovely and well thought out (including an extra hand towel in the bathroom), the welcome pack was exactly what you would need and also included gorgeous homemade items. We would definitely stay again.
We were delighted on arrival to see that the host had left us some beautiful cakes, bread, milk and butter. There were also some items in the pantry which we could use.
This is a perfect place to see the Cotswolds from. It is located in town but it isn’t loud. Some Cotswold stays are isolated. This isn’t. The place is small but well equipped for two couples or a family of 4. Everything we needed was there!
