UNIQUE IN THE CITY CENTER: WARM TOWNHOUSE WITH PRIVATE PATIO AND JACUZZI
**In August 2017, the prestigious "ELLE" magazine, chose our home to be amongst its top 20 dream apartments and houses in Avignon, which made us very proud!** Our very quiet and lovely 120 sqm townhouse is ideally located in the historical district of the city, inside the city's bulwarks. Its large and secluded patio garden enhanced by a jacuzzi will be the key to your comfort and relaxation during those lovely sunny days or Provençal evenings. Although we live abroad this townhouse is ours. We host guests in our absence and live here part of the year. It is therefore furnished and decorated to meet our high standards of comfort and well-being.
It was renovated in 2017, keeping its traditional features (a typical Provençal floor tiles -"tomettes"- staircase) but is supported by a contemporary decoration and quality furnishings.
It offers the following features:
* On the ground floor :
- A spacious living room with a comfortable sofa, a colored armchair, a flat screen television and a dining table for 6 people.
- A kitchen with beautiful visible ceiling beams which confer it a warm atmosphere. It has all the necessary to prepare good meals: microwave, oven, cooktop, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and a Nespresso coffee machine.
- Toilets.
* On the 1st floor :
- A first bright bedroom with 2 single beds, storage room and a mezzanine where you may rest in the company of a good book.
- A second bedroom with a comfortable double bed and storage room. You'll also have at your disposal a charming balcony overlooking the patio garden with a table and 2 chairs where we enjoy having our morning coffee, or reading books at night time.
- A clean and well maintained bathroom with a bathtub, double sink, a hairdryer, a towel dryer, and toilets.
* On the 2nd floor :
- A nice master bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed, storage room, a cosy corner with 2 armchairs and a small table, as well as an open bathroom fitted with a shower and a sink.
You'll be able to take advantage of the spacious patio garden (calm and secluded, facing southwards) where you will find a beautiful garden set, a jacuzzi usable both in summer and winter, a dining table for you to enjoy your meals during sunny days and deck chairs to rest under the Provencal sun.
Just renovated, the house has new beddings, air conditioner in every bedroom, a washer, a drying rack, ironing equipment (iron and table), a baby chair and a baby cot for those of you who travel with young children.
Of course, you'll have access to the wifi, including in the patio garden !

House perfect, very spacious indoor and out, and peaceful. Very well equipped. Just inside city wall, so 10 minute walk into centre, and large supermarket 4min walk outside wall. We enjoyed it immensely and would recommend.
No detail has been spared to make this the most beautiful old house we’ve ever stayed in. Location is great and the owner is very helpful. A unique experience not to be missed!

Maria thank you so much for this unique review. You were fantastic guests and it was a pleasure hosting you!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Avignon. Avignon is a very interesting place to visit and this house is in an excellent location for walking around inside the walls of the city. Communication with Marine was excellent both before and during our stay , and she provided us with very useful information regarding shopping, restaurants etc. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Hi Karen, thank you so much for this lovely review.
It is always a pleasure to share our favorite addresses in town with our guests (so that they can avoid the tourist traps!) and even more when they tell us how much they have appreciated them!

Thank you so much John, it was lovely to host your family in our home. So happy to read how much you enjoyed its authentic feeling.
Liked the location on edge of town, you could walk to sights or get out of town easily for day trips. Plenty of space, rooms larger than appear in photos. Warm living space only air in bedrooms. Great communication

Thanks Debbie, yes we also love being right in the heart of the old city, but just near the fabulous Free Car Park.
I don’t think you can find a more wonderful place than this. On a very quiet street/ close to the city wall so not right in the action which we prefer. Makes for a peaceful environment. Very very spacious, clean, high end everything! I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The host also gives you LOTS of tips for many things. Excellent communication. You do need to contact host to let her know ETA for she will welcome you into her place. You will not be sorry to stay here. We travel a lot and this is our new #1!!

Thank you so much Darcy for this lovely review. Hosting you both has been a pleasure for us. And we always feel very happy when our guests enjoy our home as much as we do (and our neighborhood which we adore, and find sooooo convenient!)
Welcoming, clean and ideally situated. Owner provided great info in advance about groceries, restaurants, etc that are all were within easy walking distance. Parking (just outside old city wall) for car was convenient just a 5 min walk from townhouse . No need for car within walls, could walk to everything! Loved the outdoor space and hot tub. Super to have this extra living area. A wonderful stay, thank you Marine!

The perfect pad to explore Avignon and surrounding wine regions. The location has a hugè amount to offer whilst making life very easy for any out of town excursions. The weather was scorching in May so the houses 'hidden' garden with the hot tub was a huge plus. Marine's memo/guide to the city is full of gems and all you need really. My favourite places to eat were Avenio & Au Jardin Des Carmes. For great wine and a wonderful spot If you can get out to Gigondas Les Florets is pretty special. One of many spots l imagine, happy exploring.

Hi Oliver, it is always a pleasure to share our favourite spots with our guests, and it is even more rewarding when they enjoy them as much as we do!
Marine was an incredible host with the absolute best property in Avignon. Three floors and a kids room with their own loft! We stayed with two t(w)eens and they had their space while the adults could enjoy a drink on the private deck. This property was well appointed with quality appliances and in a location close to many restaurants and stores. Avignon is a small city with easy transportation and parking so things are simple. And after a long day of touring this property is a refuge. You can’t go wrong. It was our pleasure Marine! Thank you for a great stay!

We had a wonderful stay in this unique townhouse. Exactly what I was picturing. Walking was easy inside the city. We had a car so also enjoyed free public parking just outside the gate. With all the wonderful small markets close by we did a lot of cooking and kitchen was well stocked for what we needed. Very clean with a lot of character. AC works great in bedrooms, none downstairs so appreciated large fan. Very quiet. Enjoyed hot tub in the evenings.

So happy to read how much yo enjoyed our home's location and neighborhood.
Beautiful place to explore Avignon and the surroundings!
We had a blast at Marine's place! This is such a cozy little house: perfectly located intra-muros and a mere 5 minute walk away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. The house is very well maintained (LOVE the brand new kitchen!) and was perfect for our party of four with two teenagers wanting both a room to themselves. After a fun-filled and exhausting day in Avignon, Mom and Dad would enjoy some relaxing moments in the jacuzzi while the boys checked out the wifi bandwith from their rooms... All in all the whole family was happy...
This is a shout out to Marine: Thank you so much - we enjoyed our stay at your place very much and will hopefully be back soon!

Thank you so so much Pascal, it is always a pleasure when our guests fall in love with our home and our neighborhood!
My wife and I spent four lovely days in Marine's home within the walls of Avignon. Although the weather could have been drier and warmer in early May, we still appreciated the beautiful patio (but not brave enough for the hot tub). The house was very well equipped, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the location was excellent. Marine was a great host, supplying us with plenty of information ahead of time that enhanced our experience in her home town. She was also in close communication while we were there, Be aware of the holiday schedule: our first full day in town was Labor Day, which mean the town was totally shut down, which took us a while to figure out. The Palce of the Popes and Les Halles are must-sees in town, as is the Pont du Gard if you can get there. Finally, Avignon is a perfect home base for exploring the rest of Provence. We would love to return some day.

My husband and I and friends have just returned from our week long stay in Marine’s lovely home in Avignon. Marine is a wonderful host who does everything possible to ensure her guest’s comfort. The accommodations are comfortable, charming and well equipped, which alone would rate 5 stars. However, it is location that truly distinguishes this property.
It is located just inside the old city walls in close walking proximity to everything. Avignon is a beautiful city steeped in history where one can spend days strolling its beautiful streets. The surroundings countryside is equally impressive. We visited many the small towns and villages in the area (Saint-Remy-de-Provence is particularly charming) and enjoyed a couple of days of wine tasting in the lovely Cote-du-Rhone area. The free parking, just outside the city walls (5 minute walk from the property), allows easy access to the surrounding area.
We would highly recommend staying here.

Dear Future Guests,
Born and raised in Provence, I've been living for the past 15 years in Asia with my family. Therefore, I have opened the doors to our house in Avignon to travelers from around the world, house, which is also our pied-à-terre when we're on holidays in France. While we're away, our friend Nadia will be in charge of welcoming you, but I would be more than happy to give you some tips on what to do in Avignon, which I know so well and which I hope you will enjoy as well, and hopefully you will also have the time to visit the gorgeous surrounding areas... Our favorite things to do: Lunch in one of the terraces in the city before a movie at Utopia, a true Avignon's institution. A diner in the magnificent Cour d'Honneur's courtyard, in Joseph Vernet neighborhood. A sunday morning at Place des Carmes' flea market. Carpentras' truffle market (during winter). The Partage des Eaux at Isle sur la Sorgue after having wandered in the antiques sellers villages. The wine cellars of Châteauneuf du Pape, Gigondas and Vacqueyras to name a few. An escapade at Saintes Maries de la Mer or Aiguës Mortes. And why not a trip to Marseille's Vélodrome Stadium.
I will be happy to welcome travelers from around the world! See you soon,
Marine
