This cabin in the woods... was awesome! Curt and Katie were very nice, and we enjoyed getting to know Jessie a little bit too! I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to get away from the everyday noise. It's set in absolutely gorgeous woods with spruce, pine, and aspen, and situated in such a way that you have almost complete privacy. Chalk Creek is close enough to provide a constant sound of rushing water, and the metal roof transferred the perfect level of "rain on a tin roof" sound into the living areas. I really can't say enough about this place... it really kinda made my wife and me homesick for the log home I built in Alaska years ago. Respectfully Marc

This cabin is absolutely perfect . The cabin , the process and the view and surroundings is absolutely mesmerizing . I give it an excellent score across the board . Of course I wished the price was lower but what you get from it is what you pay for. I recommend it to everyone who is looking for a true Colorado mountain experience. .

This is the perfect little cabin for a small family getaway. The unique location and the amenities offered by the hosts made for a beautiful, quiet, family vacation. Easy hot springs access, BV, Salida close by for shopping or dining out. The cabin is nicely situated by the river and the skylights over the bed were gorgeous for stargazing. Would stay here again and again!

The best stay in the mountains!! This cabin was just perfect for our weeks stay. Very close to many hiking and jeep trails. We stay in this area a lot but this was our first time to stay in this cabin. Such a peaceful setting and it offers everything you could need for a family getaway. We definitely hope to stay here again-it was everything you would want in a mountain getaway.
