Could not be better

Nice, comfortable, well-appointed cabin in basically perfect location. Plenty of room to spread out for the 4 of us. Hosts very much wanted us to have a good stay, and they certainly delivered.

The layout was excellent for our family of five, with three bedrooms and bathrooms. The bed configuration worked perfectly for the room with a child. Each room had direct access to the outside, allowing us to enjoy the porch with the stream flowing or watch the deer in the front yard. The location was ideal for leaf peeping in St. Elmo and accessing the 4x4 trails in the Ute Mountains.

This place was absolutely wonderful...It was so lovely to watch the aspen leaves fall, gold against the blue sky. Lovely creek, meadow and the hot tub was so clean when I opened it, I'm sure I gasped. Really!! I like hot tubs. Mornings were in the tub watching the sunshine on the opposite hill, looking over the creek, and listening, as you can hear it if the tub jets are off. Inside of the house is just as pictured. Everything very clean and well stocked..We shared a wonderful time. Thank you!

The host and checkin was prompt and easy. The cabin had 2 bedrooms that were 5 star however, the basement seemed to be in transition to eventually have a kitchenette because there were unfinished cabinetry and the refrigerator and microwave were not plugged. The basement bathroom is not suitable for tall or big people as the toilet and sink were in close proximity to each other. None of the tvs in the bedrooms worked for us.

Ultimate getaway

First of all, Brent and Diana are awesome managers, Fantastic cabin, great location, felt like home without all the stress, we will be back. Me, my wife and dog had a wonderful time exploring the mountain trails, hiking and off-roading, that are just right up the road. Tons of activities in nearby Buena Vista and Silida. A great week we will never forget. And I cant say enough how truly relaxing our stay was!

Location location

Great location and the home is better than pictures on listing. The ambiance was terrific! Stars, hot tub, and hummingbirds were fantastic! Lots of outdoor things to do on the property if you just want to stay home. Gurgling river puts you to sleep! Trails and hot springs close by, and only 20 mins from BV. One caveat, master bedroom is not air conditioned like rest of the house, but really didn’t need it as open windows and fans kept us plenty cool. The few issues we had were resolved quickly. Hosts are very, very kind and accommodating. They even lent us their own personal chairs for fishing! Enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful Creekside Retreat

We absolutely loved staying at the cabin. The location cannot be beat! Surrounded by tall trees, set off from the road by a large tree-filled meadow, and right along the banks of Chalk Creek—who could ask for more? We enjoyed sitting on the zero gravity chairs on the back deck, eating at the picnic table on the deck, roasting marshmallows at the firepit, and sipping our morning coffee on the front porch while deer walked by. We even saw a heard of mountain goats (including babies!) come to drink from the creek! Inside the cabin is just as lovely. Everything was super clean and it contains everything you could possibly need from a well-stocked kitchen to plenty of towels, pillows and blankets. We will definitely be returning!

Nice place in a great location

The listing accurately reflects the rental. It is in a great location and we enjoyed the hot tub alongside the creek. One thing to note - I would say this place is less pet friendly and more pet tolerable. They block off the master bedroom saying pets are not allowed in it, which is a bummer if you have your pet sleep in the same room. They also require you to cover all furniture if you bring pets but do not provide sheets to do so. And they require you to vacuum before departing despite making you pay both a cleaning fee and a pet fee.

It was perfect! Beautiful location, nice rooms, and well- equipped. We were 4 adults. It was great for games, relaxing, very close to Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, and near beautiful hikes. A piece of Heaven!

Diane and I highly recommend this property. From the owners, Brent & Diana to the beautiful location nestled between 2 mountain ranges to the abundance of wildlife to the comfortable cabin. We travel Wyoming, Montana & Idaho several times a year but this trip was our favorite. Surrounded by beautiful mountains no matter where you travel around the area. Wildlife!!! Mule deer, antelope and elk galore. It starts with drinking coffee or your adult beverage on the porch and the local mule deer will definitely invite themselves to the party. Only feet away from you, presenting awesome opportunities for close up picture. If you want unmatched beauty that will provide plenty of rest, please contact Brent & Diana! Truly, our best vacation yet. JR & Diane
