Uncle Joe's Florida Hideaway is just that! A great place to relax and hide away in this beautiful Gulf region of our state. The home is well appointed with all the amenities that one could need. Use this home as a tranquil retreat to plan your daily adventures to Honeymoon Island, Three Rooker Island or Dunedin/Clearwater Beach. We also have historic Tarpon Springs Sponge docks to our North and beautiful Lake Tarpon to our East. Very close to Innisbrook Golf Course it is a perfect for golfers.

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful stay in Palm Harbor. The house was beautiful, the neighborhood was quiet and family friendly, and the location was perfect. We were close to everything we wanted to see and do, but we also loved the quiet space to step back and relax! We would love to stay here again someday.

Perfect Stay – Again!

This was our second stay at this house – and once again, everything was absolutely perfect! The house was spotlessly clean, very well maintained, and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Communication with Norman was, as always, easy and friendly – he was readily available whenever we needed him. We felt completely at home and would definitely book again. Best house we have rented!!!

From start to finish we had everything at our fingertips!!! The house was clean, stocked, and amazing! Everyone in the group enjoyed themselves (softest couches ever). The beds were clean and very comfortable!

Great location!

Other than issues with the pool being green, I feel the host is not too blame, but should definitely seek out a new pool company. We did arrive just after a huricane too so that came into play. Everything was great and we enjoyed our visit.

Palm Harbor Paradise

We LOVED our time at this property. As a retirement gift to ourselves we entertained our adult children and grandkids and it worked perfectly for all. The online photos show the property perfectly. It was very clean and everything you could need is there. We even found sand toys in the garage for the little ones to take to the beach. The pool was amazing (screened and heated!) and we spent many hours at the poolside patio table watching kids swim, eating, and playing games- many provided. We think Palm Harbor was the perfect location. Stores and restaurants were close and abundant. We were here for a month and visited 24 different restaurants for breakfast, lunch, dinners, and happy hours- all fun. Of course we took a Disney run- 2 hours but mostly expressway. We went to 7 different beaches for sunbathing, sunsets, and shelling. Five of them were within 30 minutes, all wonderful. This was a perfect home base for our Grand Florida Adventure and we would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks for having us, Norm!

Worst Ever

Pool area was so dirty you couldn’t take your shoes off. There were rats around the pool area and owner came out and set traps and caught one. There was snakes in the front of the property in which one almost bit my husband. The front is grown up by over grown trees and shrubs and the back of the house is even worse. The carpet in the home is nasty as well. The owner offered no kind of reimbursement.

I will list the good things we liked about this property first. It was convenient to everything we wanted to do. All the basic things we needed were there and many extras such as a sweeper, washer and dryer, cleaning supplies, etc. The layout of the home is nice and very convenient for hanging out together. They let us bring our dog which was awesome. However there were many negatives. First, our sheets had blood on them. Very disturbing. The pool area was very dirty. The tub water did not drain well so you were standing in water. Lip prints on glasses. When we arrived we had not gotten the code to get into the house and took several calls to reach the owner. Overall the basics were all there but we won’t be back.

What's higher than 5 stars and A+?

Snagging this property was a godsend. The owner's communication skills were top-notch, and he was so helpful when the pool's heater seemed not to work properly. Before we knew it, he had the pool company out there, lickety-split! I dearly loved the pool with its mosquito-free screened enclosure and the nice deck around it. Best part: It was lightly shaded, so I didn't feel as if I were being baked in the sun when I was there. The neighborhood is absolutely darling. I wish I lived there, actually. It's just so *Florida*. So mid-mod and brimming with character. But the best part of the house was, of course, the house itself. The kitchen is so well laid out, and I couldn't believe how well-stocked the pantry is. Of course one replaces the things one uses (because that's just civilized), but from paper plates to balsamic vinegar, this house had it all. I only had to buy protein and fresh veg in order to make dinner one night. The water pressure is great; the laundry room is convenient; the garage door works nicely; the AC is amazing... Seriously, I can't recommend this house more highly. It's lovely, and so are the owners. A+++++, as we used to say on ebay!

Overall, this property met all of our needs, and we enjoyed staying at the home. I wasn't familiar with the area, so it was a little further from Clearwater than I expected with traffic and everything, but there were also a lot of other beaches to visit closer to the property. The home has plenty of room, is updated, and has all the essentials you need for your vacation.

A notre arrivĂ©e nous avons dĂ©couvert qu'une des toilettes Ă©taient bouchĂ©es, le rideau de douche avait de la moisissure dans le bas , la piscine n'Ă©tait pas trĂšs propre avec des anciens jouets en plastique en mauvais Ă©tat qui trainaient dans un coin autour de cette derniĂšre. L'entourage au sol de la piscine est fait d'un revĂȘtement certes anti-dĂ©rapant mais qui s'abĂźme et finisse dans la piscine ce qui ne favorise pas sa propretĂ© . Les meubles Ă  l'intĂ©rieur sont pour le moins vieillots ( rien Ă  voir avec les photos) Le micro-onde a la taille europĂ©enne impossible de rĂ©chauffer un grand plat .La table en verre de la salle n'est pas pratique et on a peur de l'utiliser Ă  moins d'utiliser une nappe ( il n'y avait pas une grande nappe mais 2 petite) manque de couverts , de sets de table ,trous dans la moustiquaire dans le jardin et pour terminer j'ai vu un rat se faufiler dans un tuyau d'Ă©vacuation d'eau de pluie Ă  l'extĂ©rieur dans le jardin .Pour le positif, propriĂ©taire trĂšs rĂ©actif qui nous a changĂ© les WC , mis un rideau neuf dans la douche et revu le problĂšme de la pompe de la piscine , tempĂ©rature de cette derniĂšre trĂšs agrĂ©able La maison est Ă  proximitĂ© de grandes surfaces dans un quartier calme . Climatisation de la maison bien adaptĂ©e et silencieuse , multiples chaines TV pour ceux que ça intĂ©resse .

Palm Harbor Home

House is centrally located to things in Palm Harbor, and only a short drive to other nearby towns, and relatively close to the Pinellas Bike Trail (we rode to the trail although you have to be careful given the traffic). Various grocery stores nearby. Kitchen is well-stocked, which was appreciated (we cook at home most of the time); and plenty of room in pantry for our grocery items. I would suggest a larger microwave. :) House is well decorated and included more furnishings than some rentals we've used (thanks!). Definitely appreciated the desk as we had to work from home while there. We enjoyed the use of the garage, as well; too short to fit our vehicle, but we parked our bikes in it, which was convenient. Some of the furniture has issues (a broken kitchen chair leg and the back of the sofa by the window seemed broken on one side)--we found them like that--but overall we found it a comfortable and convenient stay. It was too cold to use the pool, but we enjoyed sitting outside in the lanai on warmer days. Our dog was welcomed and comfortable there, as well. Appreciated having access to the vacuum because I used it several times just to tidy up as I do at home. :) We would stay there again.

Holiday vacation

This home is clean and well equipped with everything for a pleasant stay! Host was responsive to all questions.We didn’t use pool due to weather but I assume it would have been lovely if we could.I would suggest this for a family looking for comfort and cleanliness!
