We had a lovely stay at this apartment! Capistrano village is a really nice place, it does have a few hills and a few steps to and from the pool but we got used to this. We was provided with lots of useful things that helped us throughout the week. When messaging Pauline for anything she was quick to reply and really helpful. Would definitely return :)

The property was awesome! There was everything there that we needed for our stay and the views were stunning. The property owners were excellent to deal with. The washing machine ended up not working for us but Sean and Pauline worked to get a repair person there to get it fixed as soon as they could. It ended up needing to be replaced and for the inconvenience of not having a washer available to us Sean offered to pay for us to have our laundry done. Very gracious hosts.

Nerja Vacation

Situated in a nice quiet community a short walk from centre town. The residence was comfortable and household amenities adequate for vacation stays. The hike up hill was somewhat challenging especially if you have mobility issues. Bus stop close by was helpful.

A week at Casa Mariposa

I've beenf to Nerja many times, but this was my first visit to Casa Mariposa, owned by Pauline & Sean. The villa was lovely and very close to the main pool which was great (as our friends were all in the same village/ apartment complex. Communications with Pauline & Sean were very helpful and they are friendly. I'll be staying again.

Wonderful family stay

We had an incredible 10 night stay at Casa Mariposa. The process of checking in was simple and quick, we had everything we needed and more. The views were wonderful, all facilities were exactly as we expected and the location was beautiful. We will absolutely be back, we changed to this villa last minute and Pauline & Shaun were quick to help us with the booking and it all worked out better than we had hoped originally so we are very pleased. April 2019 at El Capistrano

We spent a wonderful month at El Capistrano. Everything was exactly as stated. We took several day tours spent time at the beach and were very fortunate to be in Nerja for Easter celebrations. Pauline was very helpful with many suggestions of places to visit and eat. If we had a concern she was back to us immediately. We would definitely recommend staying here. Sandra, Nova Scotia

Great location with lovely pool-area but very small kitchen

Overall we had a lovely stay in Nerja and in El Capistrano Village! The pool-areas are great and super close. It was easy getting access to the apartment and keys, with well described maps on forehand. The apartment was also good but the kitchen was tiny and unfortunately the table- and kitchen-ware was not properly cleaned. Also the beds were quite uncomfortable and we only got two duvet covers for 4 persons but OK for a weeks stay. AC was working perfectly and needed! The balcony was appreciated and also the bbq in the garden! Thank you for a nice stay

Summer Holiday

We had a fantastic two weeks here. Great property in a good location up the hill. Swimming pools short walk down the hill and the chairs at the apartment were very useful to save on renting a sun bed. Easy to get to the local supermarket and beach at the bottom of the hill is walkable. Bus stop close by that takes you into nearby shops and Balcon de Europe and it’s only €1 each. Lovely view from the balcony and enough space for 5 of us. We used the bbq which was very convenient and the air con was very welcome too. Only point I would make is that you do sometimes hear people in the upstairs apartment coming and going up the stairs from the upstairs bedroom, but it was only living noise which is to be expected as surrounded by lots of other villas. Very nice and we all enjoyed our stay, thank you!

Tyvärr dåligt städat i hela lägenheten vid ankomst. Dammigt överlag och köket var flottigt och all husgeråd var flottigt så vi fick börja med att diska allt vi tänkt använda under vistelsen. Fanns ingen diskmaskin så tidigare gäster har diskat för hand och då är det ju väldigt varierande hur noggrann man är. Lådorna i köket var allt huller om buller, ingen ordning och reda, kändes ofräscht.Mycket saker låg framme i lägenheten och mycket kvarlämnat från tidigare boende så som chips, lök, marmelad, vin mm som man ändå inte vill äta av själv. Hade uppskattat en mer ”clean” lägenhet.Smutsiga möbler som bör bytas ut för ett fräschare intryck (soffa, fotöljer, dynor till utemöbler). Det som var positivt var kommunikationen med uthyraren och att sängarna kändes rena iallafall. Vi kompenserades snabbt när vi återmatade att det inte var städat men så här i efterhand skulle vi ha begärt mer i rabatt..

Hi That wasn't the tone of the feedback you gave at the time you had the issues. You said you wanted to let us know in a friendly constructive way. that it wasn't as clean as you would like. However, the list you give in this review includes details that were never shared with us at time. It now appears as if the apartment hadn’t been fully cleaned and cleared from the last guests. If that’s the case it would have been helpful if you had shared this with premises manager when he arrived to set up the cot on the 1st evening, so he could have dealt with it. I am surprised you referenced the furniture, cushions etc. The apartment is furnished as is shown on the listing page so not quite sure what point you are trying to make. The figure you were offered as compensation was the figure you agreed to and you said that you were happy with it. I am sorry that you were disappointed with your stay and I have shared your feedback with our premises team, as based on your feedback, they haven’t met the standards we demand. We are accustomed to 5 star reviews and have never had feedback like this before. We are surprised and disappointed with this review. Finally, we or the premises team can only deal with issues that we are aware of.

Excellent hosts who communicated well and answered all questions and were effective guides for the area and complex. Unit was clean and had all necessary amenities. Parking was mostly available each night- couple times we had to park a little further down or up the hill but otherwise we were able to get a spot just outside the unit. Definitely recommend

appartement très agréable…dans un quartier résidentiel magnifiquement entretenu et fleuri.. commerces à pied plage aussi (env 20 minutes .. avoir de bons mollets est conseillé 🙃..)

Lovely stay

Stayed for 6 during February and March. Communications with host first class, almost immediate responses. Accommodation had everything required for a good experience. Tiny thing a linen basket is needed in the bedroom.

Nice apartment

Nice apartment, everything you needed was there. Lovely view from the balcony. Unfortunately the pool was a little too far from the apartment for us and the main pool didn't open till 11am to hire loungers (3 euros each). Pauline & Sean were very helpful and patient with our questions

Apartamento acogedor y bien ubicado

Aunque el apartamento es antiguo, está reformado con estilo y es acogedor. Está ubicado en un barrio tranquilo y con buenos servicios, pero es recomendable tener coche. Aunque hay algunos detalles que se podrían mejorar, hemos estado muy cómodos y hemos disfrutado nuestra estancia en Nerja.

Nice place in quiet area

Nice two-floor apartment in quiet area. Good AC and close to pools. You have to go by car to the beach, or walk for 20 minutes.
