The apartment was well equipped and comfortable for 6 of us. There are sound machines in every bedroom that should block out any noise coming from the street. The pool was a nice a nice surprise since it wasn’t listed when we first booked the unit. It’s in a cute neighborhood with coffee shops, restaurants and some clothing shops that are only a few minutes away. King Street is a little farther but still walking distance. Would stay here again.

Hi Lisa and Mark! Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re glad to hear the apartment was comfortable and well equipped for your group, and that the sound machines helped ensure a restful stay. It’s also great to know the pool was a pleasant surprise and that you enjoyed the neighborhood’s coffee shops, restaurants, and boutiques. Being close to King Street while still tucked into a quieter area is something we really love about this location too. Bachelorette Girls Weekend

The property was nicely situated within walking distance from some really cute coffee and bagel shops… dining options galore and good walking or Ubers available. Bathrooms were well appointed and laid out well for floor plan.

Amazing place!

We stayed here the night before my wedding and then bridal party stayed the night after. It was so accommodating for all of us! It was even better than the photos and was a great place to get ready. Definitely worked well for our group, as we are a smaller group of girls.

Bachelorette Weekend

Great property and great host, she had everything super clean and ready for us early! The only note, is that we were expecting it to be a lot more walkable to king street and it really wasn’t, we had to Uber most of the time.

Perfect space for our group of 8

The unit was cute, great size to fit 8 of us comfortably. Location wasn’t too far from King, ~15-20 min walk. Management was quick to respond and provided additional items needed promptly.

Girls Trip 2022

The Property was found exactly as listed. It was neat and clean and provided all the necessities. We had 6 women; hence, having the 3 bathrooms was perfect. We used 'Lyft' to deliver us to the downtown area, as it was just a little too far to walk for most of us. Would, definitely, rent again and highly recommend.

Very nice property

This was a very nice place to stay. The property was clean, well supplied and communication with the rental agents was consistent and easy. We especially liked the modern design of the unit. If I had anything less than stellar to stay it's that the unit is very near a large medical complex so sirens and helicopters were pretty constant. If you like the hustle of a city environement, this might not be too bad though. Very close to the French Quarter, museums and restaurants. All in all, would stay again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us, Gregory! We are so glad that we could provide you and your group with a great stay. As you mentioned, the property is located near the MUSC campus, so we do hear noise from emergency vehicles from time to time. We do all that we can to mitigate these noises, such as providing the hotel-grade noise canceling Modio devices! We hope you found these useful during your stay. Y'all were a pleasure to host, and we hope you keep us in mind for your next trip to Charleston!

Wedding guest weekend

We visited for a wedding and stayed at this cute little townhome. It was cutely decorated just as photos. It’s a little older and needs some maintenance from the outside but the interior was spotless and cute! It was a little leaning and uneven on the floor but added to the character. The only thing we were surprised by is it’s a little further from King Street than we thought but a quick drive. Just not walkable.

Regarding the location, we understand it might not be ideal for walking to King Street, but we're glad it's just a quick drive away. We appreciate your input and hope to welcome you back soon!

Very clean-near hospital

We had 3 couples and the unit was very clean and exactly like pictures showed. Floors are not level likely due to age of building. We expected a 10-15 walk to downtown Charleston but found it is 1.8 miles so was 40 min walk. Not a great part of town so didn’t feel comfortable walking at night. Located near hospital so we heard the helicopters landing throughout the night. Plenty of parking for up to 3 vehicles if you have a car. We were greeted with a nice welcome gift of wine and chocolates.

Thanks Carrie. We are so glad to hear that you and the other couples enjoyed the property and found it to be just as described as the pictures. With the houses being of older age some of the floors are unloved. Thank you for making us aware of that. The house is located in the MUSC district so it is a little away from King St and I understand you concern with the walking distance, the neighborhood is a safe area. We are happy to hear that you found the wine and chocolates to be nice. We would love to host you again the next time you are in Charleston.

Beautiful Old charm

Hello, thank you for having us! We enjoyed the property and the charm of the 170 year old house and neighborhood. Charleston is a beautiful town! Having said that, we did notice that all of the doors could use some WD40! Perhaps the squeaky doors add character and charm, but in the middle of the night, they are a bit annoying! In addition, perhaps some towel hooks could be added in the bathrooms. We had only one hook for wet towels. The management was very responsive and helped quickly with the back bathroom shower door, but that glass that is chipped is a certain hazard - very sharp glass and it should be covered somehow. Otherwise, it's a great property! Good luck to the person selling this property - it's way out of our price range, but our stay was great! Thank you.

Thank you for choosing our property and sharing your feedback, Marilyn. We're glad you enjoyed the charm of our home and Charleston's beauty. We've taken note of your comments about the squeaky doors and will address them promptly. Additionally, we'll explore adding more towel hooks and ensure any safety hazards, like the chipped glass, are promptly rectified. Should your travels bring you back to Charleston, we'd love to host you again.

Clean and comfortable

We enjoyed our stay , particularly having 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and the seating on the porch! It was a good location and pretty easy to get a taxi or uber to pick us up from there. The only negative was: it's close to the hospital and we could hear every siren and helicopter at night!! Kind of noisy!

We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay, Sandra! I apologize about the hospital noise, I have actually just purchased a few sound machines for the unit to hopefully help this situation in the future, so thank you for your feedback and we’d love to host you again in the future!

Old world charm with a modern twist

The building dates from 1852. Updates were very nice, and the unit was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was very good and reasonably close to most areas of interest, but usually had to take a car to reach them. The TV set up could have been better, as there was no cable for live shows, although you could access movies and short highlights of events that had previously aired. The unit sleeps 10, but really only 3 couples comfortably. There is a nice kitchen island around which you can seat 4 - 5 people, but no kitchen/dining table to seat all 6. The 3 bedrooms had no clothes dressers, so unpacking suitcases and placing clothes posed a challenge- 2 bedrooms had attached bathrooms with shelving, so clothes could be placed there. The third bedroom used the hallway bathroom, and the shelves were located outside of the room- a little inconvenient for dressing in one's room. The floors leaned to one side (probably due to the old earthquake), which added some charm to the age of the unit, but took a little getting used to. There is a damaged floor area on the porch balcony at the top of the stairs which gives slightly when you walk on it, which made some of the ladies a little nervous and probably should be repaired properly. Overall, though, my group of six had a good time and could overlook some of the forementioned shortcomings.

Thank you Susan for your review. Since 2017 we have added luggage racks to each rooms, plenty of hangers, and brand new pullout sofas. We have also repaired the porch and everything has been repainted. We are glad you enjoyed your stay aside from the issues mentioned above.
