We are a couple who had the pleasure of staying in the casita for a month in September 2026. The casita is beautifully furnished and has everything you need for a short or a long stay, including beach chairs, umbrellas and beach cart. Tom, the owner, is very responsive and so helpful with local recommendations. The town of Encinitas is within a 10-minute walking distance of the casita with lots of cute shops and restaurants. We have already booked our stay for a month next summer!

We absolutely adored our stay here! The proximity to the beach, shops, and restaurants was ideal. They also allowed us to check in early which was so convenient. Will stay here in the future if we ever find ourselves in the area again!

I rented this cottage for my 82-year-old parents. Although it is technically not “ADA accessible” it was very comfortable and safe for them. The cottage is quaint, very clean and very private. They asked that the next time they come visit we rent it for them again. Tom was overly easy to work with and is a great person. We will definitely rent this again!

It is rare that a rental out does its listing info. This casita (which is pretty spacious by my casita standards) was perfect in all ways. Private, beautifully decorated, amenities galore, ideally adjacent to Cottonwood Creak Park and only a short walk to Moonlight Beach and downtown Encinitas. The hosts were responsive and generous. If we ever get the opportunity to return to the area, we hope to stay there again (and again)!

This was one of the best short-term rentals we’ve ever stayed in. We were there for a month and hated to leave. Tom is a superb host not intrusive but quick to respond to any sort of questions or problems. The walk to the beach is very easy and Tom has a excellent equipment to carry chairs and everything else. We went almost every day except to occasionally go to other San Diego attractions, which are easy to access via the train. The landscaping is excellent and obviously cost a lot of money. He also has a yoga studio, which we used occasionally for exercising. The bed is very comfortable, the full-size washer and dryer is excellent, supplies galore. We love the outdoor shower. Walk to an excellent grocery store, lazy acres. Of course you can also walk to town for dinner or lunch.
