It was a great property! Stayed with two teen daughters and husband. Room to spread out.

Loved the large kitchen. Had plenty of room to spread out and relax! Cooked several meals, which was great! Lots of places to just hang and relax! Also great location - easy to get from there to towns like Granada, Cordoba, Ronda and Nerja! Lots of fun!

Lovely peaceful holiday

Great holiday in a lovely villa in a very peaceful area halfway between Nerja and Frigiliana. No English TV stations are available but luckily football can be understood in any language!! Christian was very helpful and answered all our questions.

Great property with a beautiful pool, near Nerja

We loved this house! The pool was sparkling clean. It was near enough to Nerja that we could run into town in 10 minutes. It was spacious with good parking. If I had any suggestions, I would have liked to have a few more basics in the kitchen and bathroom — some coffee and basic bath products. Also the stove and oven were difficult to use because the writing was worn off and you couldn’t tell what was off or on.

The host was helpful and proactive. The villa would benefit from some maintenance and refurbishment. We had a few issues with plumbing in the bathrooms but these were quickly resolved by our host. He also purchased some equipment for the kitchen that was missing. Comfortable beds, extra linen and towels in villa. Outside the loungers round the pool were old and stained and the covers were dirty. If villa was fully occupied there were only 4 loungers and 2 of them did not recline. The photos online of the terraces do not match what is in the garden and there was only 1 shaded area to eat. There were no comfortable reclining chairs/sofa/coffee table to relax on outside except by the pool. If you have a large car the gates to get into the property are quite narrow so beware you may not be able to drive it in.

Prima plek voor een week

Niet allemaal het nieuwste van het nieuwste. Zeker de inrichting, maar voor buitenshuisverblijf veel ruimte en in warmere maanden prima plek. Voor overwinteren iets te karig naar onze smaak. Maar tegelijk; een weekje was prima.

Heerlijk verblijf

El Tomillar is een heerlijk huis. Van alle gemakken voorzien en een fijne tuin en zwembad. Christian en Yolanda zijn lieve, behulpzame hosts. Volgend jaar komen we zeker terug.

A great place to stay!

As a group of five adults we loved this property. It was perfect for our needs. There was ample room for all of us. We enjoyed the yard & pool. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do & see in the area. Christian was so helpful with recommendations & all of his recommendations lived up to expectations. We would definitely stay here again on a return trip. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Maison bien située pour découvrir la région

Nous avons passé 2 semaines dans cette maison: elle est conforme au descriptif et aux photos. Elle est située à mi-distance de Frigiliana et Nerja, ce qui est très pratique. Une voiture est indispensable. Christian et Yolanda sont disponibles et réactifs. La maison a visiblement été rénovée récemment à l'exception de la cuisine: cette pièce est fonctionnelle mais a besoin d'être refaite rapidement pour être en accord avec le reste de la maison. La piscine est très grande, il est vraiment possible de nager. Pas de vis à vis. Elle est entretenue régulièrement par le propriétaire, en même temps que le jardin. Il y a toujours un coin d'ombre pour s'installer et prendre le repas. Possibilité de garer la voiture dans l'enceinte de la villa. Il est très facile de se déplacer et de visiter la région à partir de cette localisation.

PARFAIT

La maison correspond parfaitement aux photos diffusées. L'enchantement quand nous sommes arrivés. Belle, très agréable et confortable. La piscine est un vrai luxe dont nous avons largement profité. 3 terrasses extérieures très appréciables. Les arbres fruitiers apportent toute l'ombre nécessaire pour le repos et le farniente. L'emplacement est idéal. Le lotissement est à la fois au calme et assez proches des commodités en voiture. Christian est un hôte à l'écoute et vraiment très agréable. Linge de maison fourni et en quantité. Nous avons passé des vacances au top dans cette maison. Nous serions bien restés encore quelques jours. Le village blanc de Frigiliana vaut carrémente le détour. Magnifique. Niché dans les hauteurs, il offre des vues imprenables. Pleins de petites boutiques, de restaurants et de bars. Qui dit "hauteur" dit balades "sportives". Très difficile de circuler dans Nerja. Le centre ville n'a pas grand intérêt. Nous avons préféré le quartier du Balcon de l'Europe très très sympa et bien animé. En revanche, nous avons été très déçus des plages. "Sable" gris, poussiéreux et très sale. Le paysage est très beau mais les plages bien moins agréables. Bref, nous sommes très enchantés de notre séjour dans la maison de Christian.

Great Vacation Rental

We stayed at the Villa for three nights on our vacation in Spain. It was an excellent choice. There were three couples. We had plenty of room, the house was very comfortable and the pool was great. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Nerja and the surrounding area. I messed up the directions to the property and Christian drove down into Nerja to show us how to get the house. It was easy to find - if I had read the directions Yolanda sent to me.

Groot huis, met lekker zwembad

We hebben een zeer aangenaam verblijf gehad in het huis van Cristiaan. De communicatie verliep zeer soepel en het is lekker ruim opgezet en we hebben vooral veel gebruik gemaakt van het zwembad en het balkon om te ontbijten. Overdag naar het strand van Nerja geweest, wat vooral aan de linkerkant van balcon d'europa mooi is om lekker te zonnen en te zwemmen. Woonkamer van appartement is niet supergezellig ingericht vandaar geen 5 sterren, maar zeker wel onze aanbeveling om hier te verblijven.

Excellent location

Lovely villa in quiet area, only a few minutes from Nerja and Frigiliana. Great base to explore the area. Christian was a very friendly host. The villa has been upgraded mostly, however the kitchen area still needs some attention. We had electrical problems which Christian valiantly attempted to fix, and it was Easter, but needs to be addressed.
